Our own Crusade Prayer group: A prayer and a quick answer

Our Prayer Group grows in size.

by Donna Liane

I had been praying to God to help increase our prayer group in number as He had asked of us. At the time there were about 10 of us but we had moved to a different house (temporarily) and my mum had said that there were enough of us already-there was no room! But I insisted more people were coming, as God desired, and as I hadn’t had much luck asking people, I asked God to send them to us instead!

Quite quickly we got two responses in fairly quick succession.

The first new member

This lady had rung one of our regional co-ordinators  looking for a JTM group to join with in the CP prayers. Ours was the next to occur- that same day. It was not the closest to her house, but it was the next one and being keen, she decided to attend immediately.

She knocked on the door and I knew she was the answer to prayer; that God had sent her and that she belonged. I was very excited to meet her!

Not long afterwards, another lady also started attending our group. She came from a long way away (at least a 45 min drive) and initially came with and found us through a current member. After a while, this new lady’s mother came (from Ireland) to live with her and she brought her along too to join in the prayers. We made a special large print sized prayer book for her.

They were all amazing people- hand-picked by God for both their gifts and the way they would fit in- almost instantly, like we were all family. Each person in our group is unique in personality, has different gifts and is very loved.

Nevertheless I told mum that our group is still not complete. There are more to come and I don’t know how many! I feel we will know when we are all finally together. I also think that God will send another sign, but he is waiting till we are completely formed and everyone is present.

Editor’s note: We have only just decided to publish these stories. Since then we have had 3 more permanent members join us. There are also  others that come and go.

Our own Prayer Group miracles : for children

Crusade Prayer Signs for the children:

(by Donna Liane)

One day I was talking and praying with my younger children in the car in order to help prepare them for Confession. My youngest girl had not yet made her 1st Reconciliation but I included her and encouraged her to both examine her conscience also and to ask for forgiveness to Jesus through prayer.

We prayed the CP8  – Confession Prayer .
At a pause, my youngest said “Mummy, Jesus is here with us”. “

Well yes of course darling,” I said, “whenever there are 2 or more of you gathered in Jesus’ name, He promised he would be there.” After a another little pause I asked, “why do you say that?”

“He’s here in the car with us mum. I can smell him.”

“What do you mean?”

“You know that stuff they use in church that makes that smell, that smoke?”

“Incense?”

“Yes I can smell it. And I can feel Him. Jesus is with us.”

Well after thanking God very much in sober awe, we continued on with our prayers etc. and eventually arrived at church about 15mins later. The younger daughter was asked to stay in the car while we went in ( middle daughter and I) and I suggested that she pray for us to make a good confession and for all the people. I left her the Crusade Prayer book to help her to pray for others while we received the Sacrament.

When I came back she testified that the same smell again had returned while she prayed the Crusade Prayers, while waiting in the car. She was very serious and quite awe-struck about it all. We couldn’t smell it but I believed her instantly, especially by the way she reacted- so reverently did she speak of it. I knew she believed it without a doubt. She has also never said anything else even remotely like that, either before or since.

She was about 7years old at the time.

Divine Mercy Sacred HeartWatch this Space…

Some of our prayer group members have gone overseas on a pilgrimage. We are hoping to receive beautiful photos and stories from them, which I will share as soon as they are received. And we are fully expecting miracles too! I thought I would share one of the things for which we are praying, with faith.

Jesus said: “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40)

There are other stories behind this, such as why we are praying to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the healing of my young sister, E, of severe, crippling rheumatoid arthritis. Of course, we are always praying for many things daily: foremost is the salvation of souls for Our Lord! This is just one specific request made out of Love to our Beloved Saviour. Here is the email request my mum sent out:

Dear E,

I want you to start saying this prayer Thursday 25th June for 3 novenas 21 days.

I will say it too. We will finish just a few days after I return.

The last novena will be a thanksgiving novena.

I will ask Our Lady, (while at the pilgrimage site) and St. Padre Pio for your healing.

Jesus always hears our prayers. You know that.

His timing is always right.

Say it with Faith, Hope and Love. EVERY DAY.

I will be saying the prayer below in the third person.

Say all the prayers below each day.

And remember it is the month of the SACRED HEART which loves you very much!!!

Prayer for healing:

Heavenly Father, I call on You right now in a special way.

It is through your power that I was created.

Every breath I take, every morning I wake up

and every moment of every hour, I live under your power.

Father, I ask you now to touch me with that same power.

For if You created me from nothing, You can certainly recreate me.

Fill me with the healing power of your Spirit.

Cast out anything that should not be in me.

Mend what is broken. Root out any unproductive cells.

Open any blocked arteries or veins

and re build any damaged areas.

Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection.

Let the warmth of your healing love pass through my body

to make new any unhealthy areas

so that my body will function the way You created it to function.

And Father, restore me to full health in mind and body

so that I may serve You the rest of my life.

I ask this through the intercession of Mother Mary, Health of the sick

and your Son Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus:

O Most Holy Heart of Jesus,

Fountain of every blessing, I adore Thee

and with a  lively sorrow for my sins;

I offer Thee this poor heart of mine.

Make me humble, patient, pure

and wholly obedient to Thy Will.

Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in Thee and for Thee.

Protect me in the midst of danger;

comfort me in my afflictions;

give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs,

Thy blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death.

Within Thy Heart I place my every care.

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust

Saying ,’Heart of Jesus help me’.

Invocations to the Sacred Heart:

Merciful Jesus, I consecrate myself today and always to Thy Most Sacred Heart.

Most sacred Heart of Jesus, I implore, that I may love thee more and more.

Most sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee.

Most sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Thy love for me.

Jesus, Meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom Come.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, convert sinners, save the dying,

deliver the Holy Souls from Purgatory.

Glory be to the Father… (x 3 times)

Prayer Group Miracle on Thursday, October 3rd 2013

Below is the story of our first prayer group miracle, which we have decided to share:

Email sent by Donna Liane on Friday October 4th, 2013

(Sent to all prayer group members to record the miracle experienced by all present. Later spread as testimony for the encouragement of ALL Crusade Prayer Groups; miracles belong to everyone!)
It seems that I cannot fail to write this because I have just been reminded by a heavenly being! While I'm not really sure who, I suspect St Therese.

On Thursday while at prayer group, just after the Rosary, and prayers for the Pope, I quite unexpectedly smelt a beautiful smell of flowers; a beautiful bouquet, not quite like standard roses. I don't know how to describe it except that it was heavenly as it seemed to me and It reminded me of a healing balm, maybe because I was thinking of another prayer group member with a serious illness. I thought it smelt like a holy oil that I once had, that had come from a miraculous statue of Our Lady. It wafted my way several times and caused joy and wonder in me. I thought I would not say anything in case it seemed like 'pride', unless someone else spoke of it.

When we finished our prayers, my mum spoke up and asked if anyone had smelt that beautiful perfume that entered the room? I then felt free to confirm that I had! So did a couple of others.

Another member (B) wanted to be prudent (and be sure we weren't misguided) so she suggested that we check it was not each person's personal perfume they were wearing or the flowers beside Our Lady's Statue. It wasn't, as far as we could tell. One person realised it was the Feast of St Therese of Lisieux (traditional feast/Latin Mass calendar) and suggested that it may have been St Therese. It was not anyone's scent that we could find or trace in the room, but letting the matter rest, we went back to begin Our Divine Mercy Chaplet and Crusade prayers.

Again as we prayed several of us smelt the perfume again, which came and went, appearing at different places around the room. T smelt it too (near the coffee table under the cuckoo clock) (B) said "someone is there".

After prayer time, Mum discussed whether, if it was a sign from St. Therese, that we should adopt her as another patron saint of our prayer group, along with St Benedict.

I wanted to ponder the meaning of this sign a little more...and did so on the long journey home. I was convinced that it was a miraculous sign and knew that Jesus promised miracles to His Crusade Prayer Groups, including signs, conversions as well as healings.

Towards home I decided to relate the event to my daughter and in doing so, some things occurred to me. MDM had a vision/s of numerous saints at the beginning of her calling by God, that she did not recognise, but Jesus said he was sending them specifically to help her in His Mission. That was what it meant: God had sent a saint to help us in our prayer, as part of His Mission.

I have always thought that any sign that occurs to any of us is for the benefit of all of us and must be shared, including with those absent, so I determined to write it down.

When I got home, I walked into my bedroom ensuite where I have a Columban calendar with beautiful artwork of Our Lady, on the wall to check the saint of the day. As I looked to the name, St Therese, the perfume occurred to me again, very strongly so it could not be mistaken or ignored, causing great wonder and joy! I rang mum and told her; this was great confirmation. I also resolved more firmly to "tell the others" and put it in writing, especially for the member who was sick.

As I had many chores I put it aside till the next day and went to bed.
The next day (Friday 4.10.13) was very busy and coming home I was again very busy with chores and had completely forgotten my resolve. But that, apparently, would not do! At the completion of my immediate chores (early evening) I walked into my ensuite and smelt the perfume again!

One of my young children came in to find me and I asked her if she also could smell it? She said she could smell flowers and roses. I immediately thought that this was a reminder that I should go and write it down, as I promised, so that others could share this miracle!

I don't know whether it was a sign from St Therese, but upon reading her story later that night, it did say that she often sends the scent of roses (or an actual rose) as a miraculous sign of her intercession. I am wondering, was anyone praying through her intercession specifically? (Apart from the whole universal church because it was her feast day!)

Further note:
* the scent was not like that of the roses that I have previously associated with Our Lady. It was a more subtle, gentler, mixed scent.

Faithfully yours,
Donna. Xx

Blessed be God in His angels and in His saints!

RESPONSE sent via return emails on Saturday 5th October by my mum and another prayer group member (C)Donna,
I sent your email to (C) as she was not at the prayer meeting on Thursday.
And guess what? She was praying to St Therese!!!
I think Our Lady of the Rosary is still relevant because it was right at the end of the Rosary.

A long time ago there was this guy (with curly, woolly hair) who sent all these books to  bishops and priests.
He used to always talk about the miracles of Rosary prayer groups that would happen in the future.

I think we are truly blessed.
This is also the month of the Rosary.
And St Therese is one of Australia’s patron saints.

Subject: RE: Miracle for Our Crusade Prayer Group: to be shared
Hi   … , I haven’t even read all the other letters yet but I couldn’t
wait to reply when I read the part where Donna asked if anyone had

specifically asked  for St Therese’s intercession that day, and as she is

a favourite saint of mine I prayed a lot to her that day as it was her feast

day, I prayed at Mass then at home in the afternoon and I specifically

asked her to send a rose from the heavenly garden as a sign she was

indeed listening, now I am very emotional having read Donna’s letter,

I believe it is indeed a sign that we are not alone and have lots of heavenly

helpers, I have another story about St Therese, I’ll tell you on Thursday

GOD willing, now I’ll read the rest of the emails, thank you so much for

sharing see you all on Thursday, GOD Bless xx

Little prayer group miracles

Testimonies given at Jesus to Mankind Regional Meeting Oct 2013.

Part of the agenda for the day included testimonies given by people from various prayer groups all over the state.

One lady wrote her miracle down, others got up and spoke their testimonies. It was clear that there were many more, but that there was no time to hear them all. For example, our prayer group did not speak of our miracle. This was also because our miracle was very similar to another lady’s, who gave great detail (see *1). One Phillipino woman said that since starting a Divine Mercy Prayer Group, she has had miracles very frequently, almost daily, and she chose only her favourite story to tell. That seemed to be the general feeling: people nodded their heads as if in agreement; that they had similar experiences. I personally agree. Some signs might seem quite little to others but we know their significance. God is sending them frequently, as if to underline the importance of this work.

Prayers with a heavenly scent.

The first story was a written account given to the person conducting the meeting  to read aloud.

A woman had a small prayer group and was trying to re-format the Crusade Prayers into larger print for her group to access the next day. She wanted to give them to her friend. She said she had a lot of difficulty because they wouldn’t format on the page properly and she had spent hours of work on it, but it wouldn’t print properly. It was by now late at night (after 10.30pm) and she felt too tired to continue.

She stopped to pray and be-moaned the fact that she had wanted to do this work for Our Lord but wasn’t able to do so and was saying ‘sorry, Jesus’. Then she thought she’d have one more look at the Crusade prayer site before she went to bed. Lo and behold, she found that you could download the prayers in large print format already! So she set the printer to 10 copies and waited up a bit longer to assemble them.

Suddenly, she noticed this beautiful perfume. She went out to ask her husband in the next room whether he had sprayed any air freshener, but he said he hadn’t moved from the lounge. She continued to investigate and after a while, she brought him in to ask him if he could smell anything. “Roses” he said. Bringing her older children in, they also confirmed this, and the source. The heavenly scent was coming from the printer (or the printed pages). Smelling the remainder of the ream of A4 paper, showed that the plain paper had no scent at all. It was coming from the Words of the Crusade Prayers themselves!

The next day the scent remained upon 2 of the prayer books printed and the other prayer group ladies could therefore witness to this miracle themselves.

A leap of faith

The Filipino lady, with an American accent, spoke next.

The miracles began after she started reading the Messages and as a result, started a Divine Mercy prayer group in her home. She had a joyous smile as she recounted just one of her favourite miracles.

She was stuck in a job where she was constantly attacked. She decided to take a leap of faith and leave, despite having no new job offers. One person tried to convince her not to do so (a boss?) recounting that another lady who left found it so difficult that she could not get another job in the industry and was still looking after 6 years. Undeterred and suddenly filled with the Spirit, she reproached the man saying, “But don’t you know who my Father is?!” ‘No’, he said, puzzled, “who is your father?” “My father is God the Almighty in Heaven!” she replied.

For about a month after that she applied for jobs but concentrated more on her faith and prayer life while she had time. It was getting to the point of monetary hardship and she prayed daily, “Jesus I trust in You!” After saying the Chaplet one night, she received a mysterious text message asking her if she was still interested in the job to call this number. Well, she didn’t know what job and she didn’t recognize the name or company.

Then the phone rang and she answered it saying that she had just finished saying the Chaplet of Mercy (it was very late to receive any call at that hour) and the lady on the other end said that she had just finished saying the same prayer! It was an employer. Even more mysterious, the Filipino  lady could not remember applying for this job and the office had no record of her application, nor any cover letter; only her resume, which kept appearing on the top of the pile. That was the reason they rang; to find out when she had applied for this job. But she couldn’t tell them because she honestly didn’t know.

Needless to say, she was employed by that company most urgently and has not regretted leaving her former job ever.

The loaves and the fishes.

Another lady decided to spread the Seal of the Living God by printing copies to give out at a friend’s party that night. This was a brave move, as you can imagine, to give to a largely secular party at a private function.

Initially she set the printer to 60 copies and prepared to go to work but then decided there should be more, one per person (120) and hastily set it to print more copies. On her way to work, she suddenly realized that her printer would have run out of paper and she felt sad- because she had wanted to do this work for Jesus and now wouldn’t have enough.

Taking her little pile of Seal prayers to the party, she started to give them out. At the end, the host asked her, ‘How many did you run off?” Apparently there were 140 people at the party and every single one of them went home with a Seal of Protection Prayer!

When she got home, the lady went to pray and read her Bible and opened straight upon the passage of the sign of The Loaves and the Fishes!

A conversion story

Lastly a man who was a lawyer described his complete conversion, after reading the messages. He wore a large St. Benedict cross around his neck. He described his profession as very corrupt, as was his behaviour and the people he mixes with.

Since then he has become a new person and walks only in honest ways, in serving the Lord. He has been attacked for it, as you’d imagine. Once he was physically attacked by the devil at a suburban train station- violently and inextricably, he felt like he was being kicked in the stomach. Later he read the message about how the devil attacks people and how it coiuld feel like being kicked in the gut, which of course made sense to him.

The typhoon and the Seal of Protection

Lastly, on my way out I stopped to speak to a quiet Filipino man and his two teenage daughters. We didn’t speak long but he asked me if I’d heard the miracle that happened over there during the typhoon? In one particular place, the entire village was decimated-except for one house left standing untouched, in the middle of all the destruction. The man who owned it said he had the Seal of the Living God inside its walls.

More signs
This is all in addition to the fact that our own prayer group has experienced a miraculous sign (the heavenly rose-like scent) as well as my 13 year old daughter and myself seeing the miracle of the Sun at the start of Holy week; myself feeling a hand physically upon mine as I prayed the Rosary and my 7 year old daughter experiencing the presence and smell of the Lord (ie. incense) while praying with us in the car.

Many other signs I have had from The Holy Bible itself.
For example, at the time, when a particularly damning article on Maria Divine Mercy came out, I asked God in prayer, if I was being deceived, to show me. Much later that night (5 hours later when I’d completely forgotten all about my prayer), I unwrapped a new Bible given to me as a gift by my friend because I had promised I would look at it.

Opening randomly to read a passage, my eye fell to the bottom right hand corner of the right page, where was written (in tiny writing) a notation (explanation) of part of the Sacred Text. Referring to Daniel 10:21 was written:
“The Book of Truth; a heavenly book in which future events are already recorded”.
