Prayer Theme: Faith, Family, Nations
Bible Reading: 1 Kings 20
Book of Truth: 3rd Sept. 2013Comment: The readings seem to echo our theme today.

The bible today tells the story of an evil king and the king of Israel. It is a story of how God loves His people, and gives them many chances. He doesn’t listen and God sends His prophets to tell him how to fight. He gets it wrong over and over again. God warns him that the enemy will attack again, and when. He has an enormous victory but believes the words of the evil king and releases him. In the end, the prophet told the Israelite king that because he set him free, he would pay with his life.

This  scenario has many similarities  and lessons for us today. God loves His people, and He warns us over and over again. Our “kings”  (government leaders, spiritual leaders,) turn a blind eye and do not listen. Some have joined the enemy, others are just gullible, or have no courage to fight for their people.

God has many prophets warning us today, and telling us what to expect and how to fight. It is a spiritual war, and our weapons are spiritual.

Bible Reading

1 Kings 20:

See   https://bible.usccb.org/bible/1kings/20

This is a very long reading about an evil king  –  Ben-hadad, king of Aram, and Ahab, king of Israel. The former requested that Ahab hand over all his gold and silver, wives and children. Ahab agreed to this, but the next day, Ben-Hadad sent a message that he would come and ransack their houses and seize whatever was valuable. …

” 7.The king of Israel then summoned all the elders of the land and said: “Understand clearly that this man is intent on evil. When he sent to me for my wives and children, my silver and my gold, I did not refuse him.”
8 All the elders and all the people said to him, “Do not listen. Do not give in.”
The kings sent messengers to each other regarding the situation. …

“13. Then a prophet came up to Ahab, king of Israel, and said: “The LORD says, Do you see all this vast army? Today I am giving it into your power, that you may know that I am the LORD.”

14 But Ahab asked, “Through whom will it be given over?” He answered, “The LORD says, Through the aides of the provincial governors.” Then Ahab asked, “Who is to attack?” He replied, “You are.”
15So Ahab mustered the aides of the provincial governors, two hundred thirty-two of them. Behind them he mustered all the Israelite soldiery, who numbered seven thousand in all.
16* They marched out at noon, while Ben-hadad was drinking heavily in the pavilions with the thirty-two kings who were his allies.
17When the aides of the provincial governors marched out first, Ben-hadad received word, “Some men have marched out of Samaria.”
18He answered, “Whether they have come out for peace or for war, take them alive.”
19But when these had come out of the city—the aides of the provincial governors with the army following them—
20 each of them struck down his man. The Arameans fled with Israel pursuing them, while Ben-hadad, king of Aram, escaped on a chariot horse.
21Then the king of Israel went out and destroyed the horses and chariots. Thus he inflicted a severe defeat on Aram.
God had given the Israelite king victory, but he let Ben-Hadad escape. So he sent his prophet again:
22 Then the prophet approached the king of Israel and said to him:“Go, regroup your forces. Understand clearly what you must do, for at the turning of the year the king of Aram will attack you.”
Indeed, the evil king had evil plans, and planned to attack and mustered his troops. God sent His prophet again to
“28 A man of God approached and said to the king of Israel: “The LORD says, Because Aram has said the LORD is a god of mountains, not a god of plains, I will give all this vast army into your power that you may know I am the LORD.”
On the seventh day battle was joined, and the Israelites struck down one hundred thousand foot soldiers of Aram in one day.
30 The survivors fled into the city of Aphek, where the wall collapsed on twenty-seven thousand of them. Ben-hadad, too, fled, and took refuge within the city, in an inner room.”

The Israelite king was fooled again and took the word of the evil king. in the end he was released. Ahab was subject to more prophetic condemnation:

Read verses 35-41. He had not learnt his lesson.
” 42 He said to him: “The LORD says, Because you have set free the man I put under the ban, your life shall pay for his life, your people for his people.”43 Disturbed and angry, the king of Israel set off for home and entered Samaria.”

Reading from the Book of Truth

Your life is but just a fleeting moment in your entire lifetime. You are in exile

3 September 2013 @ 4:45pm; Message 0898

My dearly beloved daughter, it is My greatest desire to Call out to people all over the world, who have cut Me out of their lives, to come back to Me. Many souls, led by the idea that God may not in fact exist, have decided to forget about Me, their beloved Jesus. I fret for these poor, confused people because I love them dearly and miss their company.

If you have wandered away from Me and find it difficult to reconcile your view of a modern fast-paced world with a simple belief in Me, Jesus Christ, then let Me help you to understand. You are separated from Me because of sin. When sin blights your soul, a darkness descends upon it and this makes it difficult to accept the Light of God. When this happens, your heart becomes hardened. And then your intellect becomes involved and this is when you will mistakenly believe that God could not exist, because logic dictates that He can’t.

Your life is but just a fleeting moment in your entire lifetime. You are in exile. The Truth lies in the future, when you will finally come home to God in your natural state. I understand how hard it is for man to remain close to Me as he faces so many distractions, temptations and darkness on Earth.

When you feel you cannot feel My Presence or My Love, I want you to recite this –

Crusade Prayer (119) To feel the Love of Jesus

Jesus help me, I am so confused.
My heart won’t open to You. My eyes can’t see You.
My mind blocks You. My mouth cannot utter words to comfort You.
My soul is clouded with darkness.
Please take pity on me, a poor sinner. I am helpless, without Your Presence.
Fill me with Your Graces, so that I have the courage to reach out to You, to beg You for Mercy.
Help me, Your lost disciple, who loves You, but who no longer feels love stir in my heart, to see and accept the Truth. Amen.

It is not easy to be in union with Me. You must persevere until you feel My Presence in your soul. Call Me and I will run and embrace your poor wretched soul and take you, lead you and bring you to your eternal salvation. No matter what you have done, you must never be afraid to call to Me. I respond to every sinner, no matter who they are. Not one of you is without the stain of sin. I await your call.

Your Jesus

There is lots to consider.  What is on everyone’s mind is the prophecy of Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich regarding the pope leaving Rome and its consequences:

Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich

October 1, 1820

“The Church is in great danger. We must pray so that the Pope may not leave Rome; countless evils would result if he did. They are now demanding something from him. The Protestant doctrine and that of the schismatic Greeks are to spread everywhere. I now see that in this place (Rome) the (Catholic) Church is being so cleverly undermined, that there hardly remain a hundred or so priests who have not been deceived. They all work for destruction, even the clergy. A great devastation is now near at hand.

“In those days Faith will fall very low and it will be preserved in some places only.”

“The Little Black Man in Rome, whom I see so often, has many working for him without their clearly knowing for what end. He has his agents in the New Black Church also.If the Pope leaves Rome, the enemies of the Church will get the upper hand. I see the Little Black Man in his own country committing many thefts and falsifying things generally. Religion is there so skillfully undermined and stifled that there are scarcely 100 faithful priests. I cannot say how it is, but I see fog and darkness increasing … All must be rebuilt soon; for everyone, even ecclesiastics, are laboring to destroy (and) ruin is at hand. The 2 enemies of the Church who have lost their accomplice are firmly resolved to destroy the pious and learned men that stand in their way…”

N.b. The Jesuits wear black. The head of the Jesuits is referred to as the ”black pope”. Pope Francis is a Jesuit.

Also   Blessed Anna-Maria Taigi:   early 1800’S

“Religion shall be persecuted, and priests massacred. Churches shall be closed, but only for a short time. The Holy Father shall be obliged to leave Rome.”

and here is the prophecy of Pope Pius X:

where he states that the “forced to flee” pope-martyr (also described by Sister Lucia of Fatima as the pope in white who will be killed)   will have his name… Giuseppe = Joseph This could only be Joseph Ratzinger, Benedict XVI:

” In 1909, during an audience for the general chapter of the Franciscan Order, Pope Pius X suddenly fell into a trance. The audience waited in reverent silence. When he awoke, the Pope cried out:

“What I see is terrifying! Will it be myself? Will it be my successor? What is certain is that the Pope will quit Rome, and in leaving the Vatican he will have to walk over the dead bodies of his priests.  [This was precisely the vision sister Lucia received of the martyr pope dressed in white!] “Do not tell anyone this while I am alive.”

Just prior to his death (August 20, 1914), Pope Pius X had another vision:

I have seen one of my successors, of the same name, who was fleeing over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place; but after a brief respite he will die a cruel death.

“Respect for God has disappeared from human hearts. They wish to efface even God’s memory. This perversity is nothing less than the beginning of the last days of the world.”

and Pope Benedict himself  at His Inaugural Address (2013)

“Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves”.

and St Paul in Thessalonians 2: 6-8

6 And now you know what has been restraining him [from being revealed], that he may be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity already works, only he who now restrains does so, until he is taken out of the way. 8 And then that Wicked One  shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of His mouth…

“J.M.J. The third part of the secret revealed at the Cova da Iria-Fátima, on 13 July 1917.

“… And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of ita bishop dressed in white ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father.’

Other bishops, priests, men and women religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big cross of roughhewn trunks as of a cork tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other bishops, priests, men and women religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the cross there were two angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.

The events at this time do not seem to fit in with the whole prophecy as decriberd by Our lady at Fatima. There is a “bishop dressed in white” as well as “the Holy Father”. The latter was in a city in ruins (could this be Rome? or some other place ?)

These things are all foretold and must happen. But it does not seem to be the way we would expect. Only God knows.

Does Pope Benedict still have enough strength left to return to Rome and then again flee? ( it does not seem to be)

What about stumbling over the dead bodies of priests – is this figurative or in real time? ( Our Lady of Fatima and Pope Pius X)

Is the False Prophet glad that he is out of Rome, so the spiritual wall that is preventing evil will be demolished, so that the false Prophet can continue with what is planned? (St Paul and B. Anne Catherine Emmerich)

The seminary in Germany does not seem like a “hiding place” ( Pope Pius X

What part does the letter play that Pope Benedict has written and which is to be read after his death?

The only thing for us, is to wait and see. Most of all, we must PRAY!!!

The Lost Prophecy of Father Joseph Ratzinger on the Future of the Church

The end result as foretold by  Fr. Joseph Ratzinger in 1969:

“…But when the trial of this sifting is past, a great power will flow from a more spiritualized and simplified Church. Men in a totally planned world will find themselves unspeakably lonely. If they have completely lost sight of God, they will feel the whole horror of their poverty. Then they will discover the little flock of believers as something wholly new. They will discover it as a hope that is meant for them, an answer for which they have always been searching in secret.

And so it seems certain to me that the Church is facing very hard times. The real crisis has scarcely begun. We will have to count on terrific upheavals. But I am equally certain about what will remain at the end: not the Church of the political cult, which is dead already, but the Church of faith. It may well no longer be the dominant social power to the extent that she was until recently; but it will enjoy a fresh blossoming and be seen as man’s home, where he will find life and hope beyond death.”

Exile in Babylon

AM+DG

Today’s Offertory verse for today “Thursday in Passion Week”( TLM) was Psalm  136:1 –  “Upon the rivers of Babylon there we wept, when we remembered Sion.”

God’s chosen people were in exile in a foreign country, that only adored false (pagan) gods. They felt abandoned; they did not have the Temple where God’s Presence was – (in the Ark of the covenant). They could not gather together as a God’s chosen nation to worship Him in the temple. They missed their special celebrations, such as the Passover, Yom Kippur, etc.

The Israelites gathered on the banks of the river and wept as they remembered these things.

This is so true for us today. The churches are closed. We cannot gather together and celebrate God’s word or worship together. We are in exile in a secular world, without being able to receive Jesus. He is locked away, where we cannot receive Him. We can watch the Mass on our electronic devices, but we are separated from our priests. It is like a distant memory where we remember how it should be, and we weep.

We will miss the celebration of Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and all the beautiful prayers and rituals that go with them. We miss receiving Jesus in Holy Communion. Due to new tightening of laws yesterday, we are in lockdown for 3 months- and our priests had to cancel outdoor Confession arrangements.

We should also weep for other reasons. At the beginning when this all started, we were told to make “Spiritual Communions”. Father said that this was a “chastisement”. None of us, reading this, doubt this. We need to make reparation for all the times we did not receive Jesus as we should.

Today’s Gospel was about Jesus and the Apostles, who were invited to eat at Simon the Pharisee’s house. He wanted to check Jesus out. He did not offer him the usual welcome – a kiss on the cheek, water to wash his feet, etc. Mary Magdalen came in, crying and weeping when she saw Jesus, she went down on her knees and bent down to wash His feet with her tears and dry them with her hair. She sacrificed her beautiful hair, and the very expensive ointment. She repented of her sins, and later stayed at the foot of the Cross. After the Resurrection she was the one to whom Jesus appeared.

How many of us are like Simon the pharisee? Or like Judas? We need to have the love and sorrow for our sins as Mary Magdalen did; we need to kneel before our Blessed Lord in humility; we need to have Faith and Reverence, and silence in His Presence. We need to dress modestly, as befits greeting our King and Saviour, and welcoming Him into our soul.

We need to make retribution for all the Sacrilegious Communions that have been committed. Offering up our suffering in not being able to access Confession easily, or even receive Him in Holy Communion is a worthy sacrifice for us. We need to pray more, abstain more, fast more. We need to make more Reparation!

My Missal’s  “My Daily Thought From the Following of Christ”:

“If thou carry the cross willingly, it will carry thee, and bring thee to thy desired end, namely, to that place where there will be an end of suffering, though here there will be no end.”
