Signs of the Times: Part 2 – God Warned us

God warned us many times.

Our Good Lord is a Loving God. He has been warning about this since He was on this earth over 2000 years ago. It’s all in the Bible. But we ignored these prophets as well as Jesus Himself and His apostles

But just in case we missed it, or we didn’t get it, he told many saint-prophets – St Francis Of Assisi, St Nicholas of Flue. St Bridget of Sweden, Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich, Pope Leo Xiii, Pope Pius IX, St Faustina, Pope Pies XII, Archbishop Fulton Sheen, Fr Gobbi. We ignored the Saints.

But because we are so ignorant, Our Lord even sent us His own Mother – many, many times to warn us: at Quito, La Salette, Fatima, Garabandal, Akita... but still, we ignored her.

Some of these signs we can already identify; others we are still waiting for. The idea is to know what they are, so we can look out for them.

Biblical Prophecies

Deuternomy 13:1-4

“If a prophet arises ... and tells you of signs or wonders and if the signs and wonders take place, and he says, ‘Let us follow other gods which you have not known and let us worship them.’ You must not listen to the words of that prophet… The Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love Him with all your heart, and with all your soul. It is the Lord your God you must follow…”

Daniel 7:25

[25] “And he shall speak words against the High One, and shall crush the saints of the most High: and he shall think himself able to change times and laws, and they shall be delivered into his hand until a time, and times, and half a time.” (Note: A time, and times, and half a time: That is, three years and a half; which is supposed to be the length of the duration of the persecution of Antichrist.)

Daniel 8: 25

“…[24] And his power shall be strengthened, but not by his own force: and he shall lay all things waste, and shall prosper, and do more than can be believed. And he shall destroy the mighty, and the people of the saints, [25] According to his will, and craft shall be successful in his hand: and his heart shall be puffed up,...”

Daniel 11: 36-37

[36] And the king shall do according to his will, and he shall be lifted up, and shall magnify himself against every god: and he shall speak great things against the God of gods, and shall prosper, till the wrath be accomplished.

Isaiah 13:11.

“Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will shake from its place at the wrath of the Lord Almighty, in the day of his burning anger”.

Joel 2:10

“Before them the earth shakes, the sky trembles, the sun and the moon are darkened and the stars no longer shine.”

Joel 2:30

” And I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire, and columns of smoke”

Joel 2: 31

 “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood: before the great and dreadful day of the Lord doth come”.

Joel 2:10

“Before them the earth shakes, the sky trembles, the sun and the moon are darkened and the stars no longer shine

Matthew 24: 6

“And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places: [8] Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows. [9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name’ s sake. [10] And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another”.

Matt. 24:29

“The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light, the rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.”

Matt.24: 4-5

“See that no-one deceives you. For many will attempt to deceive many people. False prophets will come and will deceive very many.”

Matt. 24: 25-28

“Behold I have told it to you beforehand. So if anyone says there he is in the desert, do not go, or here he is in the inner room, do not believe it. For as lighting comes from east to west, so will be the coming of the son of man, (Jesus). Wherever there is a carcass, there the eagles will be gathered.”

Matt. 24: 38-38

2 Peter 3:3-13

“ 3.First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires…. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

 10.But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. …

2 Thess.2,3

“The day of the Lord will not come unless the great apostasy comes first.”

St. Paul the Apostle to the Thessalonians: 2: 1-12

1 “… 3 Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day will not come unless there first comes the revolt and the revealing of the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sits in the Temple of God showing himself as if he were God [Dan. 11:36,37; Ezek.28:2]. 5 Do you not remember that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now you know what has been restraining him [from being revealed], that he may be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity already works, only he who now restrains does so, until he is taken out of the way. 8 And then that Wicked One  shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming, Yes he, 9 whose coming is according to the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying [deceptive] wonders, 10 and with every kind of wicked seduction toward those who perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved [11] Therefore God shall send them a misleading influence, that they may believe a lie. [12] That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have delighted in unrighteousness. …”

2 Thess. 2: 9

 “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the works of Satan, displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders…”

Rev 13:11

 “ And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns, like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.”

Revelation 13:13-15

 “And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men, because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image of the beast for honor. Who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.” ( Verses 16-18, brings us to the prophecy in which all are forced to receive the mark of the beast, for without the mark no one will be able to buy or sell. )

Apocalypse (Revelation) 13:17
“And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name”.

Revelation 9:2-3

“When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke of a gigantic furnace. The sun and the sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss, and out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth…”
