We all know a rotten apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
In this case there is an orchard of trees and the rotten fruit is strewn all around. I am speaking of course, of the actions of the Vatican and of many unfortunate bishops, and even Congregations or Academies (of the Family, of the Pontificial Academy for Life etc).
In the case of the false prophet, we have seen much rotten fruit – the denial of the existence of hell, the denial of Christ’s Divinity while on earth, the denial of the validity of many marriages, worshipping and promoting things other than GOD (ie. pagan idols) and many more blasphemies and twistings of the Truth. We have seen encyclicals such as Amoris Laetitia, Laudato Si – both of which have played a large part in producing rotten fruit.
The latest bad fruit is by Abp. Vincenzo Paglia, who is head of the Pontifical Academy for Life. This Institute has just recently released a document on the coronavirus pandemic. Critics such as Phil Lawler pointed out that the Vatican document ‘does not mention God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Church, the sacraments, prayer, or even charity’. The Vatican defended its stance saying that it was designed to reach the ‘widest possible audience’.
This Archbishop has a history of actions which are rotten to the core. In 2017, a homoerotic mural in his cathedral was revealed, labelled as “Blasphemous,” “Disgusting,” & “Demonic” by Steve Skojec in 2017. See: https://onepeterfive.com/blasphemous-disgusting-demonic-archbishop-paglias-homoerotic-mural/.
In July 2019, he was reported as saying “ I would not exclude that, under certain conditions, a homosexual couple’s relationship is …This, for example, happens when a stable relationship is the only way to avoid sexual wandering or other forms of humiliating and degrading erotic relationships or when it is a help and incentive to walk on the path of good relationships. “ See: https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/soon-to-be-member-of-pontifical-institute-finds-good-in-homosexual-relationships
This latest (8-page) document “Humana Communitas in the Age of Pandemic: Untimely Meditations on Life’s Rebirth” was published by the Pontifical Academy for Life on July 22.
The document states :
“We are interested in entering into human situations, reading them in the light of faith, and in a way that speaks to the widest possible audience, to believers and non-believers,…”
(How can this be ”read in the light of Faith” when it doesn’t mention God. What sort of faith are they thinking of?)
LifeSiteNews reports:
“ According to Lawler, a well-respected Catholic journalist, even the title of the document “is misleading; the document provides very little hard information…
“Despite stretching to well over 4,000 words, the Vatican document does not mention God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Church, the sacraments, prayer, or even charity; even the word ‘Christian’ does not appear in the text,” Lawler summarized. “There is admittedly a call for ‘moral conversion,’ but in context it is clearly a call for an ideological, rather than religious conversion.”

How can non-believers be converted when there is no mention of “God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the church, the Sacraments, prayer or even charity’?
Why would you even read this? Even the sub-title is weird. “Untimely Meditations on Life’s Rebirth”??
The document- just a sample of some highly questionable statements:
“Like so many processes in our contemporary world, Covid-19 is the most recent manifestation of globalization. From a purely empirical perspective, globalization has effected many benefits to humankind: it has disseminated scientific knowledge, medical technologies, and health practices, all potentially available for everyone’s benefit.”
“We emerge from a night of mysterious origins: called into being beyond choice, we come soon to presumption and complaint, asserting as ours what we have only been vouchsafed. Too late do we learn consent to the darkness from which we came, and to which we finally return. “
“The Covid-19 epidemic has much to do with our depredation of the earth and the despoiling of its intrinsic value.”
“Can this occasion be the promise of a new beginning for the humana communitas, the promise of life’s rebirth? If so, under what conditions?”
The document has all the language features of humanism and Marxism – appealing to our feelings (what Covid has done to us), how it is all our fault because we have taken advantage of the environment and the earth, and how it will all lead to something better? Man has the solution – not God.
But when you read it, take it all with a grain of salt, and also read between the lines. It is preparing us for what is to come – preparing us to be controlled. They want us to change. They don’t want non-believers to change. They want us to enter in to their human situations. Consent to darkness?!
You can read the whole document here:
The document’s logo:
At the top of the page is the logo of the new Vatican document. It signifies a tree with apples. This reminds me of the Garden of Eden. The branches and the trunk are an imitation of the Chi Rho; there are apples on the tree (are they rotten by chance?). There is even an alpha and omega. I may be wrong, but there is no mention of God in the document. Why does the logo give us the impression that it is all about Christ and His teachings? I can’t interpret it all but it looks very New Age. It is meant to mislead. It looks to me like an apple tree over Christ (it is certainly larger than His symbol) and spreading wide roots.
The New Humanism:
The FP told us last year to be ready for the “New Humanism – well it is well on its way., and the “New Evangelization” that’s preparing the way. Get ready for it. Don’t be surprised. Question everything that impacts on the Faith of our Fathers.
Be armed ready with our weapons of Prayer, the (valid) Mass and the (valid) Sacraments. These too will be changed- pray for discernment and for protection from evil.
If you aren’t worried by now, with these Vatican statements, you should be!
