Today is the Feast of St Michael, whether you honour him in the traditional liturgical calendar or in the Novus ordo liturgical calendar. St Michael is very important for these times. His name means “Who is like unto God?” When the rebellious angels in heaven rebelled, he led the battle with the catchcry against them “Who is like unto God?
In these times of evil in the world, when the Church of Christ has been infiltrated, and the sheep and the shepherds scattered by wolves in sheep’s clothing, let that also be our battle cry:
Who is like unto God?
St Michael is also one of the patron saints of the Jesus to Mankind movement. In the many seminars that have been held around the world, many miraculous, unexplained happenings have occurred. Read about them in the “Official miracles” in the menu on our Home Page.
We need St Michael to lead us in this battle against the evil forces which seek to capture us and to destroy Christ’s Church!
Let us make this prayer to St Michael in these times our own, and implore him each day for protection for us and our families, for the good bishops and priests and for our dearly beloved Church:
Prayer to St Michael the Archangel
Glorious Saint Michael,
guardian and defender of the Church of Jesus Christ,
come to the assistance of His followers, against Whom the powers of hell are unchained.
Guard with special care our Holy Father, the Pope,
and our bishops, priests, all our religious and lay people,
and especially our children.
Saint Michael, watch over us during life,
defend us against the assaults of the demon,
and assist us especially at the hour of death.
Help us achieve the happiness of beholding God face to face for all eternity. Saint Michael, intercede for me with God in all my necessities, especially (petition).
Mighty prince of the heavenly hosts,
and victor over rebellious spirits,
remember me for I am weak and sinful and also prone to pride and ambition. Be for me, I ask, my powerful aid in temptation and cruelty,
and above all do not forsake me in my time of struggle with the powers of evil. Amen.
The following titles are taken from The Litany of St Michael the Archangel”
