Prayer and Voting: Miracles do happen!

AM+DG

As Christians and especially Crusaders, we know the value of prayer.

(RemnantchildofMary says: This is an amazing testimony to prayer and fasting.

Most people only hear the bigger story. The finer details matter!)

The NSW election seemed to be doomed to be won by Labor and its abortion, euthanasia, transgender policies. All the polls were in their favour.

We added our intentions in our JtM  Prayers in our prayer Group to those of others praying around the state.  Two days beforehand, we were wondering what more we could do. We decided to print off 150 copies of Crusade Prayer 99 for Australia and New Zealand. Two of our best, and most courageous people went to the polling place in their area and handed out the prayers. They were all distributed and most people accepted them. I guess they all agreed that our countries were indeed “pagan” We were all surprised, but we should never underestimate the power of Prayer.

The Canberra Declaration, together with other groups such as The Australian Christian Lobby are 2 very powerful groups working to keep our country and its leaders Christian.

We are all very grateful for their prayers and their request for “prayer and fasting.” It seems NSW is safe for now, but we have a big problem with the Federal Election looming in a couple of months.

The reference in the article below to “Margaret Court” is the former Australian tennis champion. When she supported the the Christian vision of homosexual “marriage” in the plebiscite vote the nation had on this, her name was removed from tennis courts and places named after her. (Picture:13 Sept. 1970 – Grand slam)

Indeed Christians will be persecuted! But she continues to fight for Christian values. We all have to do what we can . Prayer and fasting is what we need. We need to storm heaven with our prayers.

Miracles do happen!!!

A Miracle of Answered Prayer!
Thank you for your prayers for last Saturday’s NSW election. The Canberra Declaration, supported by the team at the NDOPF, called for 3 Days of Prayer and Fasting from Wednesday 20th March to Friday 22nd March, to seek God’s favour for the NSW election.
The people of NSW were facing the strong likelihood of either a Liberal or Labor minority government. This would have been a bad result, as those holding the balance of power in the Lower House would most likely have been very susceptible to ungodly influences. In other words, either the Labor or Liberal government would have been held hostage to evil.
The polls between Labor and Liberal had been equally balanced for 18 months. The situation looked very grim.
We believe God did something totally amazing in answer to your prayers. This is captured in the table below (from the ABC website) showing the results in the Lower House.
Take a minute to consider the way God miraculously intervened in the NSW election results in answer to our prayers. Much of what is listed below is inexplicable and was not predicted by the experts.
  • Two weeks ago it looked to us as though Labor would win and Liberals would lose, or worse still, the experts predicted that there may be a hung parliament. But the reverse happened. The Liberals have won the two-party-preferred vote 52.5% to 47.5%. The polls did not predict this result. The Coalition and will govern in their own right with a majority of two in the Lower House.
  • The balance of power will most likely be shared by pro-family forces in the Upper House, including Fred Nile, the leader of the CDP. Paul Green for the CDP is still a possibility in the Upper House. We will know for sure in around 13 days’ time.
  • The “mysterious swing” occurred over the 3 Days of Prayer and Fasting when the opposition leader stumbled in the Wednesday night debate and was unable to remember key figures from the Labor launch which he’d provided two weeks earlier.
  • The Liberals lost 2.9% and they are on notice from the electorate about some of the evil legislation they allowed to be debated in Parliament. As a result, we can expect them to be far more careful introducing evil pro-abortion and pro-euthanasia private members bills over the next 4 years.
  • Labor lost with a 0.7% swing against them and they only won two seats. This is quite a debacle for a Labor opposition facing an incumbent government struggling to sell its achievements, and fighting hard for a third term in office. (This is also very unusual given that the last time the Liberals won a third term in office was 1971).
  • The National Party, which has been taken over by anti-family, pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia parliamentarians, suffered the humiliating loss of three seats and a 0.7% swing against them. This is a big warning to them to get back to serve their core pro-family constituency and reject green policies.
  • The Greens lost ground with a 1.0% swing against them, which shows that people are waking up to their anti-family, anti-child, pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia, pro-drug and gender-fluid policies.
  • Interestingly the Liberal, National, Labor and Green parties arrogantly refused to attend an Upper House forum hosted by the ACL and it is all of those same parties that suffered significant swings against them in the NSW election results.
  • In better news, the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party won three Lower House seats and one Upper House seat. It seems that they will most likely continue their existing pro-life, pro-family and pro-Christian voting pattern where they supported the Fred Nile CDP in all votes but one. This result will also put pressure on the National Party to get back to serve their core pro-family constituency and reject evil green policies or risk further losses in the bush.
  • A very anti-family, pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia National Party parliamentarian lost his bid for a Lower House seat in Ballina.
  • In more good news, Mark Latham, who is agnostic but nonetheless is one of Australia’s most prominent supporters of Judeo-Christian values, has been elected to the NSW Upper House.
  • Based on all of the above, especially if Paul Green from CDP gets re-elected, the incoming parliament will most likely be one of the most pro-freedom, pro-family and pro-Christian NSW state parliaments for a long time. Of course time will tell on this last point!
Taken together, it would seem that an extraordinary miracle has taken place. By his grace God has truly intervened in the results of this election. So thank you for your prayers.
Much Love

P.S. We’d like to give you advance notice of a very important call by Ps Margaret Court for 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting in the lead up to the upcoming Federal Election.
Ps Court said, “I believe it’s time for the church to ARISE to be a strong voice of righteousness, truth and justice. God impressed on my heart that once the election date was announced we should stand together and call 21 days of Prayer and Fasting.”
The team at the Canberra Declaration have decided to support this historic and much-needed national call for 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting in the lead-up to this upcoming federal election. Please start to spread the word!
