The Third Secret Published in 2000

Whilst the (supposed) Third Secret was published on 26 June 2000, by Pope St. John Paul lI, there has been much controversy and evidence suggesting that it is not the REAL secret.

Much evidence has been collated about the size of the paper it was written on and the very handwriting of Lucy herself and various hints and statements by cardinals, bishops and even Popes themselves about what it contains.

Third Secret as published on 26th June, 2000

The text that was released by the Vatican is as follows:
“After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!’. And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it’ a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father’. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels, each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.”

“a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father” – why was it an impression? (was it because there were two popes?)
“he was killed by a group of soldiers” – despite assertions that this referred to Pope St JPII when he was shot – the fact is – he wasn’t killed!!!’ And it wasn’t by a group of soldiers! This still has to happen..

The real third Secret contains other events – such as has been prophesied by St Francis of Assisi and Bl. Catherine Emmerich (which can be found elsewhere on this site).

Pope St. Jp II himself alluded to some of the content in the prayer he composed for the Consecration of the world that he did, after he had read the third secret:
He mentioned:
“From famine and war, deliver us.
From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us.
From sins against the life of man from its very beginning, deliver us.
From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us.
From every kind of injustice in the life of society, both national and international, deliver us.
From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us.
From attempts to stifle in human hearts the very truth of God, deliver us.
From the loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us.
From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us, deliver us.
Accept, O Mother of Christ, this cry laden with the sufferings of all individual human beings, laden with the sufferings of whole societies. …etc “

These all sound familiar.  We are  living through many of these, and expecting the rest.

Other evidence:
Famous Fatima scholar, Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité, in his 850-page work, The Third Secret outlines his investigation. He sums up his findings as follows:
“Having reached the end of our inquiry, we are able to discern, with near certainty, the essential elements of Our Lady’s final secret:
• While ‘in Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved,’ in many nations, perhaps in almost the entire world, the Faith will be lost.
• The pastors of the Church will fail gravely in the duties of their office. Through their fault, consecrated souls and the Faithful in great number will let themselves be seduced by pernicious errors spread everywhere.
• This will be the time of the decisive battle between the Blessed Virgin and the devil. A wave of diabolical disorientation will be hurled over the world.
Satan will introduce himself even to the highest summit of the Church. He will blind the minds and harden the hearts of pastors.
• And God will deliver them to themselves as a chastisement for their refusal to obey the requests of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
• This will be the great apostasy predicted for the ‘last times’; ‘the False Lamb’ and ‘False Prophet’ will betray the Church to the profit of ‘the Beast,’ according to the prophecy of the Apocalypse.”

Cardinal Ratzinger, when interviewed in 1984 after Bishop Ito approved apparitions at Akita in Japan, stated that he had read the Third Secret and that it speaks of “The dangers threatening the faith and the life of the Christian, and therefore the world, and also the importance of the last times.” He also stated “But the things contained in this Third Secret correspond to what is announced in Scripture and are confirmed by many other Marian apparitions….”
Howard Dee stated that “Cardinal Ratzinger personally confirmed to me that these two messages, of Fatima and Akita, are essentially the same.” In the publication, however, of the Ratzinger Report, these words were deleted. Obviously he had said too much.
There is obviously much that has not been publicly announced about the third Secret.
