The Sacred Heart of Jesus: A devotion for these times.

AM+DG

Devotion to the Sacred Heart

Devotion to the Sacred heart is more important in today’s world than ever before. The Mystical Body of Christ being persecuted, blasphemed, and betrayed and suffering more than ever at this time all over the world. We behold his Sacred Heart aflame with Love for us and filled with Love and Mercy.

Jesus said to St Mary Alacoque :

My Divine Heart is so passionately in love with men that it can no longer contain within Itself the flames of its ardent charity.  It must pour them out by thy means, and manifest itself to them to enrich them with its precious treasures, which contain all the graces of which they need to be saved from perdition.  I have chosen you as an abyss of unworthiness and ignorance to accomplish so great a design, so that all may be done by Me.”

During the octave of the feast of the Blessed Sacrament, June 16, 1675, Margaret Mary was on her knees before the choir-gate, her eyes fixed on the tabernacle. Suddenly the Lord appeared on the altar and discovered [revealed] to her His Heart:

Behold”, said He to her, “this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify its love. In return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrilege, and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in this sacrament of love. And what is most painful to Me,” added the Savior, in a tone that went to the Sister’s heart, “is that they are hearts consecrated to Me.”

St Margaret Mary tells us:

Love keeps Him there [in the Blessed Sacrament] as a victim completely and perpetually delivered over to sacrifice for the glory of the Father and for our salvation. Unite yourself with Him, then, in all that you do. Refer everything to His glory. Set up your abode in this loving Heart of Jesus and you will there find lasting peace and the strength both to bring to fruition all the good desires He inspires in you, and to avoid every deliberate fault. Place in this Heart all your sufferings and difficulties. Everything that comes from the Sacred Heart is sweet. He changes everything into love.”

Our Lord made twelve great promises to St. Margaret Mary for those who are devoted to his most Sacred Heart. They are:

          1. I will give them all the graces they need in life.
          2. I will create peace in their families.
          3. I will comfort them in all their troubles.
          4. They shall surely find in My Heart protection during life and especially at the hour of their death.
          5. I will shower them with blessings in everything that they do.
          6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source of an infinite ocean of mercy.
          7. Weak souls shall become fervent.
          8. Fervent souls shall speedily rise to great perfection.
          9. I will bless the homes where an image of My Heart shall be exposed and honored.
          10. I will give to priests the power of touching the most hardened hearts.
          11. Those who spread this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be erased.
          12. The all-powerful love of My Heart will grant to all those who shall receive Communion on the First Friday of nine continuous months the grace of final repentance; they shall not die under my displeasure, nor without receiving their Sacraments; My heart shall surely be their protection at that last hour.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart focuses not only on the love and mercy Jesus has for us but on reparation for sin.

There is so much reparation to be made for our own sins, for the sins of the clergy, for the sins of our nations, for the sins of the Elite and all the dark souls – in fact  we need to atone for the sins of the world – especially in turning away from our  Beloved Saviour.

The Nine Fridays must be made in honor of His Sacred Heart.

In St. Margaret Mary’s visions, Christ requested that a Communion of reparation be made on the first Friday of every month for nine consecutive months, and Communion must be received.)

With regard to this promise it may be remarked:

            1. That our Lord required Communion to be received on a particular day chosen by Him;
            2. that the nine Fridays must be consecutive;
            3. that they must be made in honor of His Sacred Heart, which means that those who make the nine Fridays must practice the devotion and must have a great love for our Lord;
            4. that our Lord does not say that those who make the nine Fridays will be dispensed from any of their obligations or from exercising the vigilance necessary to lead a good life and overcome temptation; rather He implicitly promises abundant graces to those who make the nine Fridays to help them to carry out these obligations and persevere to the end;
            5. that perseverance in receiving Holy Communion for nine consecutive First Fridays helps the faithful to acquire the habit of frequent Communion, which our Lord eagerly desires;
            6. that the practice of the nine Fridays is very pleasing to our Lord since He promises such great reward, and that all Catholics should endeavor to make the nine Fridays.

Jesus tell us in the Book of Truth:

It is those who come to Me as little ones whom I bring closer to My Sacred Heart. These are the souls who love Me unconditionally and who do not feel the need to display their love for Me, so that others will admire and look up to them. It is the man who leaves all in My Hands, when he speaks the Truth, who brings Me the souls I desire, not the man who feels he deserves great accolades for doing so….” ( 4 January. 2015)

“…As the world plunges into darkness – as wars break out everywhere, and when disease and famine grip humanity – My Intervention will be witnessed. I protect all those who consecrate themselves to My Sacred Heart. I uplift those whose hearts may be heavy, and I will bring peace and a calmness of soul to those who ask Me for these Gifts. …”(14 October, 2014)

“.. My Son makes His Presence felt when He is called upon. The more open the soul is to His Love, the more he or she will become closer to His Sacred Heart...” (17 May 2014)

Prayers from the Book of Truth to the Sacred heart:

Prayer for Salvation
Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 @ 09:55 am
O my Lord, lead me to Your Kingdom and protect me from the darkness that has engulfed my soul. Hear me now O Sacred Heart and through Your Goodness let Your Light of Love and protection shine through.

Prayer for encouragement
Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 @ 04:00 pm
Fill me now, O Lord, with the Gift of the Holy Spirit to carry Your most Holy Word to sinners who I must help save in Your Name. Help me to cover them, through my prayers, with Your Precious Blood so that they can be drawn to Your Sacred Heart. Give me the Gift of the Holy Spirit so that these poor souls can revel in Your New Paradise.

Prayer to never give up when you feel down
Sunday, January 8th, 2012 @ 03:30 pm
Jesus if you can hear me
Then listen to my call for help
Please help me deal with those who cause me pain
Help me to stop envy taking over my life and
To stop me wishing for things I cannot have
Instead open my heart to you dear Jesus
Help me to feel real love – your love
And to feel true peace in my heart. Amen.

Prayer to consecrate yourself to the Sacred heart.

My most loving Jesus, I consecrate myself anew today and without reserve to Your Divine Heart. To You I consecrate my body with all its senses, my soul with all its faculties, and my whole being. To you I consecrate all my thoughts, words, and works; all my sufferings and labors; all my hopes, consolations, and joys; and chiefly I consecrate to You my poor heart that I may love but You and be consumed as a victim in the flames of Your love.

Accept, O Jesus, my most loving Spouse, the desire I have to console Your Divine Heart and to belong to You forever. Take possession of me in such a manner that henceforward I may have no other liberty than that of loving You, no other life than that of suffering and dying for you.

In You I place unbounded confidence, and I hope for pardon of my sins from Your infinite mercy. In Your hands I lay all my cares and principally that of my eternal salvation. I promise to love You and to honor You until the last moment of my life, and to propagate as far as I am able, with the help of Your Divine grace, devotion to Your most Sacred Heart.

Dispose of me, O Divine Heart of Jesus, according to Your good pleasure. I desire no other recompense than Your greater glory and Your holy love.

Grant me the grace to find in Your most Sacred Heart my dwelling place; there I desire to pass each day of my life; there I wish to breathe forth my last sigh. Make also my heart Your abode, the place of Your repose; that so we may remain intimately united until one day I may praise, love, and possess You for all eternity, and sing forever the infinite mercies of Your most Sacred Heart. Amen.

Some simple little prayers you can say any time to Jesus’ Sacred Heart:

Sacred Heart of Jesus, hear my prayer!

Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on us!

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I implore that I may love Thee more and more!

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be loved everywhere.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Your love for me.

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.

Sweetest Jesus, hide me in Your Sacred Heart. Do not permit me to be separated from You. Defend me from the evil foe.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, Your kingdom come!

Sacred Heart of Jesus, let me love You and make you loved.

Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Yours.

Divine Heart of Jesus, convert sinners, save the dying, deliver the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

All for You, most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, may you be known, loved, and imitated!

Sacred Heart of Jesus, protect our families.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, strengthened in Your agony by an angel, strengthen us in our agony.

We desire to pray the Rosary, partake in the Holy Eucharist, attach special importance to the first Saturday of the month and work for the conversion of sinners.

National Anthem:

1. Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature’s gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history’s page, let every stage
 Advance Australia Fair

Chorus: In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

  1. Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
    We’ll toil with hearts and hands;

    To make this Commonwealth of ours
    Renowned in all the lands;
    For those who’ve come across the seas
    We’ve boundless plains to share;
    With courage let us all combine
    To Advance Australia Fair.

        Chorus:

  1. With Christ our head and cornerstone,
    We’ll build our nation’s might.

    Whose way and truth and light alone
    Can guide our path aright.
    Our lives a sacrifice of love
    Reflect our Master’s care.
    With faces turned to heaven above
    Advance Australia Fair.

    Chorus

Prayer is needed during The Great Deception of the New Evangelisation about to unfold

AM+DG

Stay awake and pray!

The New Evangelisation will have truth mixed with lies and it may be very hard to discern the truth correctly. Much will be done with stealth and people will not understand the true meaning of certain actions and symbols or not notice subtle changes to liturgy and prayers. The words will seem to be theologically perfect, so carefully construed will they be…

Prayer will protect you and open your eyes to what is going on at every moment.

Firstly, we need to pray “that we may see” – that the Lord may open our eyes:

(Crusade Prayer 146) Protection Against Deceptions

Dear Mother of Salvation, protect me with the Grace of protection against deceptions, created by Satan to destroy the faith of Christians.

Protect us against those who are the enemies of God.

Keep us safe from lies and heresy, used to weaken our love for your Son.

Open our eyes to untruths, deception and every attempt we may encounter to encourage us to deny the Truth.

Amen.

Deceit

Remember also that this global evangelization will lead towards the One World Religion. The pressure to enter this will be intense. Our Lord warns that the time will come when we will need to pray the following prayer, 3 times a day. His words are below:

“…To ensure that you remain strong, courageous, calm and at peace, as you take up the Cross of my Son on your shoulders, you must recite this Crusade Prayer. For many of you who find it difficult to accept that these things are to come, there will come a day when you will recite this, Crusade Prayer (158) three times a day, because the pressures, which will be placed upon you to deny my Son, will be overwhelming….

We also need to pray for protection:

Crusade Prayer (158) Protect me from the one world religion:

Dear Jesus, protect me from the evil of the new one world religion, which does not come from You. Sustain me on my journey to freedom, along the path to Your Holy Kingdom.

Keep me in union with You, whenever I am tormented and forced to swallow lies, which are spread by Your enemies to destroy souls.

Help me to withstand persecution, to remain firm to the True Word of God against false doctrines and other sacrileges, which I may be forced to accept.

Through the gift of my free will, take me into the Domain of Your Kingdom, to enable me to stand up and proclaim the Truth, when it will be declared to be a lie.

Never let me falter, hesitate or run away in fear, in the face of persecution. Help me to remain firm and steadfast to the Truth for as long as I live. Amen.

Stay close to Our Lord in prayer. Prayer and, much of it, is needed, to stay true to God.

Good Friday: Prayers that are for yesterday, today and tomorrow

AM+DG

A selection of the prayers which are said at the Traditional Latin Rite on Good Friday:

Let us pray, dearly beloved, for the holy Church of God, that our Lord and God may deign to give it peace, keep it in unity, and protect it throughout the world, subjecting principalities and powers to it, and may grant unto us that, leading a peaceful and quiet life, we may glorify God, the Father almighty.

Let us pray, dearly beloved, to God the Father Almighty, that He cleanse the world of all errors: take away diseases, drive away famine, open prisons, break chains, grant a sure return to travellers, health to the sick, and a safe haven to those at sea.

Let us pray also for heretics and schismatics: that our Lord and God may be pleased to deliver the from all their errors, and to recall them to our holy mother the Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Almighty and everlasting God, Who always seekest not the death, but the life of sinners, mercifully hear our prayer, and deliver them from the worship of idols, and join them to Thy holy Church for the praise and glory of Thy name.

Let us pray also for the pagans, that almighty God would remove iniquity from their hearts, that, putting aside their idols, they may be converted to the true and living God, and His only Son, Jesus Christ our God and Lord.

A Blessing for us Living in the World Today (Pope Benedict XVI)

St Padre Pio’s Christmas Meditation

AMDG

“… So plentiful, O Christians, are the lessons that shine forth from the grotto of Bethlehem! Oh how our hearts should be on fire with love for the one who with such tenderness was made flesh for our sakes! Oh how we should burn with desire to lead the whole world to this lowly cave, refuge of the King of kings, greater than any worldly palace, because it is the throne and dwelling place of God! Let us ask this Divine child to clothe us with humility, because only by means of this virtue can we taste the fullness of this mystery of Divine tenderness.

Glittering were the palaces of the proud Hebrews. Yet, the light of the world did not appear in one of them. Ostentatious with worldly grandeur, swimming in gold and in delights, were the great ones of the Hebrew nation; filled with vain knowledge and pride were the priests of the sanctuary. In opposition to the true meaning of Divine revelation, they awaited an officious savoir, who would come into the world with human renown and power.

But God, always ready to confound the wisdom of the world, shatters their plans. Contrary to the expectations of those lacking in Divine wisdom, he appears among us in the greatest abjection, renouncing even birth in St. Joseph’s humble home, denying himself a modest abode among relatives and friends in a city of Palestine. Refused lodging among men, he seeks refuge and comfort among mere animals, choosing their habitation as the place of his birth, allowing their breath to give warmth to his tender body. He permits simple and rustic shepherds to be the first to pay their respects to him, after he himself informed them, by means of his angels, of the wonderful mystery.

Oh wisdom and power of God, we are constrained to exclaim – enraptured along with your Apostle – how incomprehensible are your judgments and unsearchable your ways! Poverty, humility, abjection, contempt, all surround the Word made flesh. But we, out of the darkness that envelops the incarnate Word, understand one thing, hear one voice, perceive one sublime truth: you have done everything out of love, you invite us to nothing else but love, speak of nothing except love, give us naught except proofs of love.

The heavenly babe suffers and cries in the crib so that for us suffering would be sweet, meritorious and accepted. He deprives himself of everything, in order that we may learn from him the renunciation of worldly goods and comforts. He is satisfied with humble and poor adorers, to encourage us to love poverty, and to prefer the company of the little and simple rather than the great ones of the world.

This celestial child, all meekness and sweetness, wishes to impress in our hearts by his example these sublime virtues, so that from a world that is torn and devastated an era of peace and love may spring forth. Even from the moment of his birth he reveals to us our mission, which is to scorn that which the world loves and seeks.

Oh let us prostrate ourselves before the manger, and along with the great St. Jerome, who was enflamed with the love of the infant Jesus, let us offer him all our hearts without reserve. Let us promise to follow the precepts which come to us from the grotto of Bethlehem, which teach us that everything here below is vanity of vanities, nothing but vanity. ”

Tribute to our Guardian Angels

AMDG

“Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life (336).”

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father” (Matthew 18:10).

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that “the existence of the spiritual, non-corporeal beings that Sacred Scripture usually calls ‘angels’ is a truth of faith (328).”

St Bernard:

Brethren, we will love God’s angels with a most affectionate love; for they will be our heavenly co-heirs some day, these spirits who now are sent by the Father to be our protectors and our guides. With such bodyguards, what are we to fear? They can neither be subdued nor deceived; nor is there any possibility at all that they should go astray who are to guard us in all our ways. They are trustworthy, they are intelligent, they are strong — why, then, do we tremble? We need only to follow them, remain close to them, and we will dwell in the protection of the Most High God. So as often as you sense the approach of any grave temptation or some crushing sorrow hangs over you, invoke your protector, your leader, your helper in every situation. Call out to him and say: Lord, save us, we are perishing.

Various Prayers to our Guardian Angels:

St. Gertrude’s Guardian Angel Prayer

O most holy angel of God, appointed by God to be my guardian, I give you thanks for all the benefits which you have ever bestowed on me in body and in soul. I praise and glorify you that you condescended to assist me with such patient fidelity, and to defend me against all the assaults of my enemies. Blessed be the hour in which you were assigned me for my guardian, my defender and my patron. In acknowledgement and return for all your loving ministries to me, I offer you the infinitely precious and noble heart of Jesus, and firmly purpose to obey you henceforward, and most faithfully to serve my God. Amen.

The Guardian Angel Prayer for Friends

Guardian Angel,
watch over those whose names you can read in my heart.
Guard over them with every care
and make their way easy and their labours fruitful.
Dry their tears if they weep;
sanctify their joys;
raise their courage if they weaken;
restore their hope if they lose heart,
their health if they be ill,
truth if they err,
repentance if they fail.

The Guardian Angel’s Lament

Thou hast sorrowed the spirit that loved thee, And watched o’er thy footsteps for years: Thou hast made me at last sigh o’er thee, In secret, in silence, and tears.
For my Father in Heaven I loved thee, For His sake have I guarded thy ways. Return, O return, I implore thee, Him to love, to serve, and to praise.
O’er thy pathway through life still I hover. Thee to comfort, to solace, to cheer; With the love of a fond, saving brother, Through this desert of trial and fear.
Oh! When shall I clasp thee, how fondly And bear thee, all dangers no past, To the arms of God Who dies for thee To our home in the heavens at last! (Hope our angels don’t have to lament over us.)

Good Night My Guardian Angel

Good night, my Guardian Angel, The day has sped away; Well spent or ill, its story Is written down for aye. And now, of God’s kind Providence, Thou image pure and bright, Watch over me while I’m sleeping. My Angel dear, good night!

The Good Shepherd – A prayer for priests

A+M+D+G

This prayer is from , Pope Pius XII  July 17, 1956

PRAYER TO BE SAID BY THE LAITY:

O Jesus, eternal High Priest, Good Shepherd, Font of Life, Who by a special favor of Thy most tender Heart hast given to us our priests in order to accomplish in us those holy ideals with which Thy grace inspires our hearts, let Thy mercy, we beseech Thee, come to the aid of our priests.

Grant them, O Jesus, lively faith in their works, unshakable hope in their trials and fervent charity in their intentions. May Thy word, radiant with eternal Wisdom, become through continual meditation, the never failing nourishment of their interior life; may the examples of Thy Life and Passion be renewed in their conduct and sufferings for our instruction and as a light and consolation in our sorrows.

 Grant, O Lord, that our priests, free from all earthly attachments and solicitous for Thy glory alone, may persevere to their last breath in the fulfillment of duty and in purity of conscience. And when in death they deliver into Thy hands a task well done may they have in Thee, Lord Jesus, their Master on earth, the eternal reward of the crown of justice in the glory of the Saints. Amen.
