POPE BENEDICT’S RESIGNATION WAS INVALID, HE IS STILL THE POPE

THE CATHOLIC MONITOR

In 2012 even Leftist America said a Pope’s Resignation “had to be cleared by Canon Law; it was determined that if the resignation was Voluntary, Enacted Properly and Absolutely Necessary”

Anti Pope Francis Antipope, Heretic and Antichrist Apostate (Jorge Bergoglio)

It’s very interesting that in 2012 even the leftist America was saying about a pope’s resignation:

“This had to be cleared by canon law; it was determined that if the resignation was voluntary, enacted properly and absolutely necessary.” – The Catholic Monitor

There are three basic schools of thought on this phenomenon, the first of which has been nicknamed “Benevacantism.” The first two theories were openly discussed by Burke and Coffin (and summarized by Alt in his post), the third was only hinted at. The three theories are:

  1. Pope Benedict’s resignation was invalid; he is still pope. (Advocates: Bp. Rene GracidaAntonio SocciMsgr. Nicola Bux.)
  2. The conclave that elected Pope Francis was invalid or corrupt, thus voiding the election of Pope Francis.(Advocates: While I am not aware of any prominent figures who have announced explicitly that they believe Francis is not pope based on an invalid conclave, those advancing the possibility include Church Militantand Roberto de Mattei.)
  3. The resignation of Pope Benedict was valid, as was the election of Pope Francis. But sometime after his election, Pope Francis officially promulgated heresy from the See of Peter, and thereby abdicated his office automatically. (Proponents: the signatories of the Open Letter to the College of Bishops, including Fr. Aidan Nichols, Peter Kwasniewski, Fr. John Hunwicke, and John Rist.)

In a December 2016 interview with Catholic World Report, Burke was asked what might lead to the abdication of a pope:

CWR: Some people are saying that the pope could separate himself from communion with the Church. Can the pope legitimately be declared in schism or heresy?

Burke: If a Pope would formally profess heresy he would cease, by that act, to be the Pope. It’s automatic. And so, that could happen.

CWR: That could happen.

Burke: Yes.

The clear implication here, as well as the explanation for Cardinal Burke’s rejection of virtually everything that Pope Francis has formally taught, is that he thinks Francis hasn’t taught anything magisterial because he doesn’t believe Francis is pope. – Where Peter Is [https://wherepeteris.com/does-cardinal-burke-think-francis-is-an-antipope/%5D

Recently, the Modernist leftist America is discussing the possibility of Francis resigning:

This announcement might have gone unnoticed had it not been that Celestine V was the first pope to resign voluntarily, and that Benedict XVI had made a pilgrimage to the same pope’s tomb four years before announcing his resignation from the chair of Peter. It was this, Gerry says, “that provided ammunition for the guns of speculation.”

And while neither Gerry nor Colleen believes a papal resignation is imminent, on this episode of “Inside the Vatican” they consider the reasons to heed, or not, the rumors that Pope Francis will soon follow in the footsteps of Benedict XVI and Celestine V.[https://www.americamagazine.org/faith/2022/06/09/pope-francis-retire-resign-podcast-2022-243132]

Moreover, why might Francis have been talking in 2021 about Dante since he is apparently only mostly interested in the socialist this-world utopias and rarely, if ever, talks about the Heaven and Hell of the poet’s epic?

Might it have something to do with Dante’s calling one of Pope Benedict XVI’s favorite popes, Pope Celestine V, who resigned a coward in Hell?

In 2013, Mark Giszczak wrote:

St. Celestine V. Scott Hahn made an interesting post in which he mentions Pope Benedict’s two trips to pray by the tomb and relics (respectively) of Celestine V–notably the Pope left his pallium on Celestine’s tomb on April 29, 2009. (Interestingly, as Rocco Palmo notes, this pallium was the one with which Benedict was originally vested. The pope “retired” it from use and went to a smaller size of pallium. More here: Fr. ZNLM)…

… Now, on to Dante! In his Inferno, Canto III, lines 58-63 (in Dorothy Sayers’ translation) we read:

And when I’d noted here and there a shade
Whose face I knew, I saw and recognized
The coward spirit of the man who made

The great refusal; and that proof sufficed;
Here was that rabble, here without a doubt,
Whom God and whom His enemies despised.

Now, Celestine is found in Hell’s “vestibule” here with the futile, who run around after meaningless banners, goaded by hornets. They are at the very “top” so to speak, of Dante’s Hell. Dante’s condemnation of Celestine V was rooted in the problematic reign of his successor, Boniface VIII, who imprisoned his predecessor. Apparently, Dante felt that Celestine should have embraced the office and out of cowardice or a faint heart, he abdicated, which led to very bad things in the reign of the next pope. Celestine died in a fetid jail cell. [https://catholicbiblestudent.com/2013/02/pope-benedict-xvi-resigns-dante.html]

Did Boniface kill Celestine by jailing him?

Francis apologist Fr. Dwight Longenecker shows that Francis knows all about Celestine:

Dante placed Boniface in hell for his crimes and it was Boniface VIII who pushed papal claims to worldly power to their most extreme point. A corrupt and ambitious man, Boniface demanded that all people be subject to the Roman Pontiff and insisted that kings and princes bow to his power. After power struggles with King Philip IV of France, Boniface was imprisoned and it was rumored that he took his own life — by gnawing off his own arms and bashing his head against a wall. Boniface was accused of many horrible crimes by his enemies, and even if innocent of the worst offenses, he was still a completely worldly man world who stands as the stunning contrast to Celestine’s simplicity and godliness.

By proclaiming a jubilee year in honor of Celestine Pope Francis is making a clear call for all Catholics to turn away from the worldly values of power, pride and corruption and walk in the way of Christ. [https://www.patheos.com/blogs/standingonmyhead/2014/07/the-real-celestine-prophecy.html]

In 2012, the Francis apologist leftist America magazine wrote an article about “Celestine’s Prophecy”:

Celestine V, the pope who quit, is remembered mostly as a footnote. Histories of the popes treat him as a medieval curiosity. Dante condemned him to the inferno for his cowardice. More recently, his resignation has been viewed as the odd precedent that would permit an ailing pope to step down…

… He [Celestine] announced that he would resign, the first and only pope to do so.

This had to be cleared by canon law; it was determined that if the resignation was voluntary, enacted properly and absolutely necessary—if the pope was useless or suffered a serious impediment such as insanity—resignation would be acceptable.

The holy man, officially deemed useless, fled. But his authoritarian successor, Pope Boniface VIII, was evidently uneasy with having another pope about and ordered him imprisoned. It is “not far-fetched” to suggest that Boniface had Peter [Celestine] murdered.[https://www.americamagazine.org/issue/culture/celestines-prophecy ]

It’s very interesting that in 2012 even the leftist America was saying about a pope’s resignation:

“This had to be cleared by canon law; it was determined that if the resignation was voluntary, enacted properly and absolutely necessary.”

Pray an Our Father now for reparation for the sins committed because of Francis’s Amoris Laetitia.

Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church as well as the Triumph of the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Stop for a moment of silence, ask Jesus Christ what He wants you to do now and next. In this silence remember God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost – Three Divine Persons yet One God, has an ordered universe where you can know truth and falsehood as well as never forget that He wants you to have eternal happiness with Him as his son or daughter by grace. Make this a practice. By doing this you are doing more good than reading anything here or anywhere else on the Internet.

Francis Notes:

– Doctor of the Church St. Francis de Sales totally confirmed beyond any doubt the possibility of a heretical pope and what must be done by the Church in such a situation:

“[T]he Pope… WHEN he is EXPLICITLY a heretic, he falls ipso facto from his dignity and out of the Church, and the Church MUST either deprive him, or, as some say, declare him deprived, of his Apostolic See.”
(The Catholic Controversy, by St. Francis de Sales, Pages 305-306)

Saint Robert Bellarmine, also, said “the Pope heretic is not deposed ipso facto, but must be declared deposed by the Church.”

It’s Time to Stand up for His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI

AM+DG

Finally, after all this time – years of suffering and seeing the Church being torn apart –  we can see a light. We were always thankful that (just) a few bishops seemed to try and stand up for Truth – but talking about it, and signing petitions wasn’t enough. Cardinal Burke, Bp. Schneider, Cardinals Muller and Brandmuller, also Cardinals Caffara and Meisner (the latter 2 who may have  died of  a broken heart), Cardinal Sarah, and last, but not least, Archbishop Vigano, who I must say seems to have had the most courage.

We are immensely thankful for Bro. Alexis Bugnolo who acted and decided to investigate Pope Benedict’s resignation. At first, after Bergoglio was elected to the throne of Peter, there were a few assertions made- the “Grammar mistake“, the fact that on the day of the election there was one too many voting elections ( contrary to Canon Law, it was said); the St Gallen Mafia plotting for years beforehand (and Cardinal Danneels finally admitting it in a book), secret meetings in Rome for purposes of vote canvassing, suggestions of being forced to resign, and even blackmail, but they never came to anything. No-one really seemed to care, or was afraid to challenge the election.

As a result of Bro. Bugnolo’s relentless investigation, he came up with lots of evidence written and applied to Canon Law. And now we have 2 Bishops who have spoken up for Pope Benedict – Bp. Gracida and Bp. Lenga. Bro. Bugnolo tells us that there are at least 4 priests naming Pope Benedict in the Canon of the Mass.

There are hundreds of Jesus to Mankind  prayer groups around the world -and that means supporting Pope Benedict as the true pope. So thousands of people when attending Mass, have been saying his name in the Canon from the beginning. (That is, since Nov. 2010 in our case, but depending on when people joined) All of the thousands of members of our prayer groups would be also praying for the intentions of Pope Benedict after every Rosary.

Locally, I know of one priest who has said (privately) that all the pieces of the jigsaw are finally coming together. He said that he never really believed that Pope Benedict resigned.

There are most probably hundreds of good priests who are secret supporters of Pope Benedict. But they lack courage, and they are in fear  – fear of their Bishop, and fear of what other priests might think.

I was so overjoyed to read the” From Rome” post.

“Feb. 28, 2020: A group of Catholics, today, has issued a call to convene an international investigation into Vatican Corruption by all the Bishops of the Catholic Church on account of the manifest grave disorder in the organs of the Apostolic See.  …   The Press Release invites both legal scholars and Catholic Bishops to participate. All interested parties are to contact the chairman of the committee.

Read all about it here: https://fromrome.info/2020/02/27/breaking-call-for-international-inquest-into-vatican-corruption/

I hope many, many people sign up, but I know that there are still bishops and priests who are sceptical or just plain “blind”. This is our job now – to share our information. Hand out copies of articles to other parishioners and to priests. They need to know the truth. We need to build up an ARMY of resistance and Action. Remember, Ven. Abp. Fulton Sheen spoke about the important role of the  laity.

Priests may fear for their  “priestly ministry”, but we have no excuse. We can change parishes and “go shopping” and they cannot deny us the Sacraments.

My friend Tony, sent me this reflection yesterday, Feb. 27th at 11.20am Sydney time.  He says it all very well.

Hi Everyone,

Surely the idea or possibility of an uncanonically elected Pope……following a Pope pressured to resign by the St Gallen Mafia Club…. led by the infamous heretic Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini….is a more plausible explanation of a manifest, serial heretic, blasphemer and Vatican Garden idol worshipper…… being on the Chair of Peter….. than the idea that a validly elected Pope could operate like that.

Anyone who believes that a valid Pope can behave as Bergoglio has done for almost 7 years now, has a greatly diminished (flawed) understanding of the very essence of what a Pope is.

It has always been my (Traditional Catholic) understanding that a Pope is the ‘Rock’…..the defender….teacher….and custodian…. of the True Faith…..protected by God Himself from reeling off a never ending stream of heresies, blasphemies to the Catholic faithful all over the planet.

Bergoglio is definitely not the ‘Rock’.

And if anyone reading this cannot see that…..you are not looking…..and need to ask yourself why am I avoiding looking too closely at what he is saying and doing???

I know many, many pre-Bergoglio traditional Catholics (now Bergoglio Liberals) who avoid like the plague ….all the available information on Bergoglio’s performance.

Therefore the need for a full and comprehensive investigation on how this parlous state of affairs came about is screamingly obvious.

Why not check out all possible ways this may have come about???

Why are so many so resistant to investigating all possibilities???

Was he a heretic before he was supposedly elected???  There is strong evidence for the affirmative.

Was there pressure on Benedict (still alive and healthy in mind and body) to resign….. when on an historical basis Popes simply don’t resign….they stay until they drop….look at the example Pope John Paul II gave….. Was Canon332:2 breached???   There is a strong case for that!!!

Was the canvassing for votes at the 2013 (supposed) conclave actually done by a number of Cardinals???    There is a strong case for that also!!! Both Cardinal Daneels & Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor’s former  Director for Public Affairs, Austin Ivereigh have said this indeed happened!!!

Now that it has become clear that Jorge Mario Bergoglio….compared to the Popes of history is dysfunctional in the extreme….behaving like the worst of all the antipopes…..WHY NOT CHECK IT ALL OUT???

COME ON ….WHY NOT???

Reason No 1. Many of the Hierarchy are themselves heretics and with Bergoglio all the way.

Reason No 2. Many of those hierarchy who see clearly the errors of Bergoglio do not have the will to take this on……the (worldly) consequences would be great!!!

Then we of course have the brave ones….Bishop Gracida….Archbishop Lenga….Archbishop Vigano…..and others…..but not many…..because our Church has been thoroughly liberalised (hereticised ) over the last 50 years since Vatican II.

God bless,

Tony

Pope Benedict XVI

Gradually we have come to know some of the details of Pope Benedict’s supposed ‘resignation’. But Jesus warned us (in the Book of Truth) many times through many messages between 2010 and 2012, well before it came to pass, that an imposter would soon take over the throne of St. Peter. He told us that the False Prophet would stand in his place. We were expecting it. But not even we were expecting that the prophecy given on February 11th, 2012 would become apparent on the exact same date a year later, almost to the hour.

Read it here:

https://missionofsalvation.com/message-0336/

We were also told (in several messages) exactly what his supposed successor -who is not just a false pope and deceptive usurper, but the False Prophet of Revelations- would be like. An extract of the message from March 11th, 2011, is below:

All Christians Repent Now, Catholics Pray for Pope Benedict…

…My beloved daughter, I want you to continue to move quickly to spread the Word regarding these Messages. I have explained to you before that they must be given to as many people as possible in the shortest possible time. As this event looms, so too will an event regarding the Holy Vatican.Ask everyone to pray for My beloved Holy Vicar Pope Benedict, for he is surrounded by the enemies of My Eternal Father. Pray for the priests who have never wavered in their faith to Me or My Eternal Father.

Rise of the false prophet
They need to pray hard now, as the outcome of this attack on My Holy Vicar will be witnessed by you all. Pray, pray, pray that the false prophet will be identified for what he is. Watch out for his demeanour. His attention seeking agenda, the way in which My misguided sacred servants will drop in awe at his feet. Then listen to what he has to say, carefully. His humility will be false, his intentions mischievous and the love he exudes will be all about him. He will be seen as being innovative, dynamic – a breath of fresh air. While he is driven and energetic, his powers will not come from God the Eternal Father. They come from Satan, the evil one.

Pray, pray, pray. For you, My children, need to be on your guard. You need Me to guide you now as these prophecies are revealed to mankind. Be strong, loyal to My Teachings. Pray in groups. Pray the Holy Rosary to seek protection from the evil one.

Remember one lesson. My Teachings never change. They are the same as they have always been. As I said before, it is when you find that they are tampered with, toned down, or as will be the case, distorted in a way that seems strange, or at odds with My Teachings, turn away and pray to Me for guidance.

Your Divine Saviour
Jesus Christ”

Is it any wonder that the messenger was hated and castigated? Is it any wonder these messages were rejected with great force?

Gradually, after the ‘supposed resignation’ of Pope Benedict and the election of a supposedly new ‘pope’ (Jorge Bergoglio; who refers to himself as Pope Francis),  various theories began to be raised about the invalidity of the conclave.

From memory they included: the illegal meetings of the St. Gallen group, the grammar mistake in the resignation itself, the fact that there were too many elections on the day of the election (but I have read that this doesn’t matter) etc.

Since then, so much more has been discovered : that there was actually vote harvesting beforehand so that they had already arranged a guaranteed 25 votes before the election; the deliberate, definitive wording of the resignation regarding the munos and ministerium; the fact that Card Sodano was meant to do an enquiry into the resignation first etc.

St. Francis of Assisi warned us of “an uncanonically elected pope”, who was not a “true pastor but a destroyer”. The arguments continue but few want to take up the battle. None can understand. The fact is that it is all in the Book of Revelation, and this all has to come to pass. People just don’t want to face the fact: that this is it!

We all struggle, first of all, with convincing our uninformed friends and those “with blinkers on” of what is happening. We don’t want them to be deceived but it is difficult to get the whole message across, or to get them to accept the truth.

The easiest first step is often to inform them of all the Catholic prophecies through the ages from Our Lady and the Saints: St Francis, Our Lady of Good success, La Salette, St Leo XIII, Pius X, Fatima, St Faustina, Garabandal, Akita. This is the easy part – most Catholics will accept these. ( See our menu – “Tools for Evangelisation”  to download a booklet to hand out.)

What is important for people to see is that Pope Benedict XVI is still the pope, regardless of whether Bergoglio is still there as the “great pretender“. Getting rid of him won’t happen in the way we think- prophecies foretold will be fulfilled. This does not reduce our obligations however, – it increases them due to the nature of the battle. In the Book of Revelations, both the False prophet and the Antichrist are thrown into the lake of fire.

As for Pope Benedict XVI and his resignation, a very thorough article has been posted on Bishop Gracida’s blog by David Martin, which is very helpful in explaining all the  facts and where Canon Law stands.

The parts we are concerned with – that Pope Benedict is the pope- are reproduced below:

A Closer Look at Benedict’s Resignation                       and the Ensuing Papal Crisis

 By David Martin

“With the controversial buzz that surrounded the election of Pope Francis upon the resignation of  Pope Benedict XVI, it seems that we may have lost sight of a key element in this episode,  namely, that Benedict never fully resigned the papal ministry but only the active exercise thereof.

On the eve of his resignation, he said:

“Anyone who accepts the Petrine ministry no longer has any privacy. He belongs always and completely to everyone, to the whole Church… The‘always’ is also a ‘forever’ – there can no longer be a return to the private sphere. My decision to resign the active exercise of the ministry does not revoke this.” (General Audience, February 27, 2013)

From these words it appears that there has been no revocation of Benedict XVI’s office. According to Church law, a pope must give up his office for his resignation to be valid. (Canon 332) The text indicates that Benedict XVI chose to retain his office “forever,” which is why he continues to wear the papal garb and to go by the name Benedict XVI.

No Shared Papacy

Naturally, there is no such thing as a “shared papacy.” Christ said to Simon, “Thou art Peter.” He didn’t say to Simon and John, “Thou art Peters.” And while the papacy indeed has various facets, i.e. contemplative, theological, active, etc., it is all one ministry. 1 The idea that two dimensions of the Petrine office can be cubbyholed into separate departments (active and prayerful), each with its own capacity and each occupied by a separate Petrine representative, is heresy. Gänswein no doubt realizes this, but his explanation to the press was apparently the best he could do to cover for a very embarrassing situation that caused his mentor to be dethroned.

Rules and Regulations Violated

Clearly, there was intense politics and vote canvassing at work around the time of the conclave, which directly violated Pope John Paul II’s Apostolic Constitution Universi Dominici Gregis, governing papal elections. Therein he makes it clear that vote canvassing among cardinal electors is strictly forbidden, and that it incurs automatic excommunication. Consider the following from his Constitution:

“The Cardinal electors shall further abstain from any form of pact, agreement, promise or other commitment of any kind which could oblige them to give or deny their vote to a person or persons. If this were in fact done, even under oath, I decree that such a commitment shall be null and void and that no one shall be bound to observe it; and I hereby impose the penalty of excommunication latae sententiae upon those who violate this prohibition.” (81)

This prohibition applies not only to the election itself but to that time just before the election when preparations are underway, since it is during this time that illicit political activity would exert its greatest influence on the vote. “Any form of pact” obliging electors “to give or deny their vote to a person” would be secured before the election.

The pope also says in his Constitution:

“Confirming the prescriptions of my Predecessors, I likewise forbid anyone, even if he is a Cardinal, during the Pope’s lifetime and without having consulted him, to make plans concerning the election of his successor, or to promise votes, or to make decisions in this regard in private gatherings.” (79)

A clique of cardinals did “make plans” to force Benedict XVI’s resignationand to campaign for “the election of his successor, with up to 25 cardinals “promising votes” the day before the election, this having come about through “private gatherings,” thus revealing the illicit conduct of those cardinal electors to be.

Under the pain of excommunication latae sententiae, Pope John Paul forbids “each and every Cardinal elector, present and future, as also the Secretary of the College of Cardinals and all other persons taking part in the preparation and carrying out of everything necessary for the election” to allow “all possible forms of interference, opposition and suggestion whereby secular authorities of whatever order and degree, or any individual or group, might attempt to exercise influence on the election of the Pope.” (80)

Unfortunately, secular and political interference played a key part in the election of Pope Francis.  According to John Paul II, such interference renders the papal election null and void.

Should the election take place in a way other than that prescribed in the present Constitution, or should the conditions laid down here not be observed, the election is for this very reason 2 null and void, without any need for a declaration on the matter; consequently, it confers no right on the one elected. (76)

Universi Dominici Gregis (February 22, 1996) | John Paul II

A Pope “Not Canonically Elected”

Bearing this in mind, we turn now to the prophecy of St. Francis of Assisi concerning a future pope. This is found in the Opuscula or Works of St. Francis, which was published by the preeminent Franciscan historian Fr. Luke Wadding in 1621.

Shortly before his death in 1226, St. Francis of Assisi called together the friars of his Order and detailed this prophecy of what was to come upon the Church in the latter days. The following is an excerpt taken from Works of the Seraphic Father St. Francis of Assisi, R. Washbourne, 1882, pp. 248-250, with imprimatur by His Excellency William Bernard, Bishop of Birmingham.

“At the time of this tribulation, a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error…. Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true pastor, but a destroyer. “

Evidence of a pope “not canonically elected” would be his success in drawing “many into error,” something that has been ongoing since Francis’ election. For instance, on February 4, 2019, he signed a joint statement with the head of Egypt’s al-Azhar Mosque, which states that “diversity of religions” is “willed by God.”This blatantly contravenes the Church’s dogma that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church, yet this “religious diversity” heresy is now preached everywhere from the pulpit, courtesy of Francis.

There is also the issue of Francis’ ongoing collusion with U.N. globalists. On October 28, the Pontifical Academy of Sciences partnered with U.N. pro-abortion advocates to pledge fidelity to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) championed by socialist rebels like George Soros and Jeffrey Sachs. The pope has also honored abortionists Emma Bonino and Lilliane Ploumen for their work.

And let us not forget that Francis engaged in idol worship in St. Peter’s Basilica during the recent Amazonian Synod. The pope and several cardinals were filmed chanting, dancing, and praying before the Pachamama idol as part of the synodal effort to make “reparation” to “Mother Earth” for the “sins” committed against her. Vatican rep denies claims that alleged ‘pagan’ statue is the Virgin Mary

Sr. Lucy’s Vision

Hence Pope Benedict XVI, in an emotional farewell speech at St. Peter’s on February 25, 2013, told a crowd of 100,000 that God had called him to  step down and devote himself to prayer, and to scale the mountain.’https://ynaija.com/god-told-me-to-climb-the-mountain-pope-gives-farewell-speech/

This would suggest that Benedict XVI is “the Holy Father” who scales the mountain in Sr. Lucy’s vision. If you’ll recall, it was in conjunction with the Third Secret of Fatima that Sr. Lucy of Fatima received this symbolic vision, which she penned on January 3, 1944. The following is an excerpt that was published by the Vatican on June 26, 2000.

“We saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it’ a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father’. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.”

In her vision, Lucy sees two popes as it were. The first is a mirrored image of what appears to be the pope, but is actually “a bishop dressed in white” who gives the “impression” he is the popeThe true pope [BXVI] and his followers scale the mountain amidst peril and danger, praying for the spiritually dead along the way, before which they pass through a city half in ruins, which represents the Church in shambles. At the end of their journey they are martyred for their allegiance to Jesus Crucified. It is a symbolic picture of the Church being put to death.

We should note that a reflection in the mirror is not a reality, but only an appearance – an impression. Lucy makes the point that this impression is “a bishop dressed in white.” It doesn’t appear that the bishop dressed in white is Benedict XVI or any previous pope, but Pope Francis.

…”

Read the whole article at:
The interpretation of the vision of Sr. Lucia is subjective. The interpretation  presented (above) by David Martin view is very convincing, but we won’t really know the complete Truth until it happens.. What is important is that Pope Benedict XVI is the one in the prophecy scaling the mountain, as he says in his farewell speech, that God had called him to ‘devote himself to prayer’ and to ‘climb the mountain.’ (see link to this speech in David Martin’s article above.)
