Pope Benedict Vs. Francis: Part 5

AM+DG

The English Denzinger site (which was run by (20) priests, and which (strangely??) has not been active for a few years, was invaluable and priceless in terms of comparing everything Francis claimed to what authentic Church Teaching says.

The following is an example of one article I had saved. It is very long, so I will post just a few bits every day. The following continues from yesterday’s post.

Benedict XVI…

…judges Francis’ idea that Jesus came into the world to learn how to be a man

  • From the splendor of divinity, Christ chose to descend to the humiliation of ‘death on a cross’ to then manifest Himself in the splendor of his divine majesty

Already in the past we have underlined that this text contains a two-way movement: descent and ascent. In the first, Christ Jesus, from the splendour of divinity which by nature belongs to him, chooses to descend to the humiliation of ‘death on a cross’. In this way he shows himself to be truly man and our Redeemer, with an authentic and full participation in our human reality of suffering and death. The second movement, upwards, reveals the paschal glory of Christ, who manifests himself once more after death in the splendour of his divine majesty. (Benedict XVI. General Audience, no. 1-2, October 26, 2005)

  • Jesus’ death stems from his free choice of obedience to the Father’s plan of salvation

This radical and true sharing in the human condition, with the exception of sin (cf. Heb 4:15), leads Jesus to the boundary that is a sign of our finite condition and transience: death. However, it is not the product of an obscure mechanism or a blind fatalism. It stems from his free choice of obedience to the Father’s plan of salvation (cf. Phil 2: 8). (Benedict XVI. General Audience, no. 3, June 1, 2005)

…judges Francis’ idea that spiritual direction is a charism of the laity

  • Priests have the munus docendi, the task of teaching – they must answer the fundamental questions about what we must do in order to do good

The first duty of which I wish to speak today is the munus docendi, that is, the task of teaching. Today, in the midst of the educational emergency, the munus docendi of the Church, exercised concretely through the ministry of each priest, is particularly important. We are very confused about the fundamental choices in our life and question what the world is, where it comes from, where we are going, what we must do in order to do good, how we should live and what the truly pertinent values are. Regarding all this, there are numerous contrasting philosophies that come into being and disappear, creating confusion about the fundamental decisions on how to live; because collectively we no longer know from what and for what we have been made and where we are going. […] This is the function in persona Christi of the priest: making present, in the confusion and bewilderment of our times, the light of God’s Word, the light that is Christ himself in this our world. (Benedict XVI. General Audience, April 14, 2010)

  • An essential part of the priest’s grace is the task of putting others in touch with God

No man on his own, relying on his own power, can put another in touch with God. An essential part of the priest’s grace is the gift, the task of creating this contact. This is achieved in the proclamation of God’s word in which his light comes to meet us. It is achieved in a particularly concentrated manner in the Sacraments. Immersion in the Paschal Mystery of the death and Resurrection of Christ takes place in Baptism, is reinforced in Confirmation and Reconciliation and is nourished by the Eucharist, a sacrament that builds the Church as the People of God, Body of Christ, Temple of the Holy Spirit (cf. John Paul II, Pastores Gregis, no. 32). Thus it is Christ himself who makes us holy, that is, who draws us into God’s sphere. However, as an act of his infinite mercy, he calls some ‘to be’ with him (cf. Mk 3:14) and to become, through the Sacrament of Orders, despite their human poverty, sharers in his own priesthood, ministers of this sanctification. (Benedict XVI. General Audience, May 5, 2010)

  • Christ tends his flock through the Pastors of the Church

Christ tends his flock through the Pastor of the Church, in fact: it is he who guides, protects and corrects them, because he loves them deeply. But the Lord Jesus, the supreme Shepherd of our souls, has willed that the Apostolic College, today the Bishops, in communion with the Successor of Peter and the priests, their most precious collaborators, to participate in his mission of taking care of God’s People, of educating them in the faith and of guiding, inspiring and sustaining the Christian community. (Benedict XVI. General Audience, May 26, 2010)

  • Every priest is called to help the penitent to walk on the demanding path of holiness

‘Spiritual direction’ also contributes to forming consciences. Today there is a greater need than in the past for wise and holy ‘spiritual teachers’: an important ecclesial service. This of course requires an inner vitality which must be implored as a gift from the Holy Spirit in intense and prolonged prayer and with a special training that must be acquired with care. Every priest moreover is called to administer divine mercy in the sacrament of Penance, through which he forgives sins in the name of Christ and helps the penitent to walk on the demanding path of holiness with an upright and informed conscience. To be able to carry out this indispensable ministry, every priest must tend to his own spiritual life and take care to keep himself pastorally and theologically up to date. (Benedict XVI. Message to participants in the course organized by the Apostolic Penitentiary, March 12, 2009)

  • Listening to the confessor’s advice is important for the spiritual journey of the penitent

Dear priests, do not neglect to allow enough room for the exercise of the ministry of Penance in the confessional: to be welcomed and heard is also a human sign of God’s welcoming kindness to his children. Moreover the integral confession of sins teaches the penitent humility, recognition of his or her own frailty and, at the same time, an awareness of the need for God’s forgiveness and the trust that divine Grace can transform his life. Likewise, listening to the confessor’s recommendations and advice is important for judging actions, for the spiritual journey and for the inner healing of the penitent. (Benedict XVI. Address to participants in the course on the internal forum organized by the Apostolic Penitentiary, March 25, 2011)

  • In the saintly priest, the Christian People recognize the voice of the Good Shepherd

May Saint John Mary Vianney be an example to all priests. He was a man of great wisdom and heroic fortitude in resisting the cultural and social pressures of his time in order to lead souls to God: simplicity, fidelity and immediacy were the essential features of his preaching, the transparency of his faith and of his holiness. The Christian People was edified by him and as happens for genuine teachers in every epoch recognized in him the light of the Truth. In him it recognized, ultimately, what should always be recognizable in a priest: the voice of the Good Shepherd. (Benedict XVI. General Audience, April 14, 2010)

…judges Francis’ idea on adulterine unions

  • The trials of Christians are indeed numerous, but they must be faithful to God in their marriage

Overcoming the temptation to subject God to oneself and one’s own interests, or to put him in a corner and be converted to the correct order of priorities, giving God first place, is a journey that each and every Christian must make over and over again. […] The trials to which society today subjects Christians are indeed numerous and affect their personal and social life. It is far from easy to be faithful to Christian marriage, to practice mercy in daily life, to make room for prayer and inner silence; it is far from easy to oppose publicly the decisions that many take for granted, such as abortion in the case of unwanted pregnancy, euthanasia in the case of serious illness and embryo selection in order to prevent hereditary diseases. The temptation to set faith aside is always present and conversion becomes a response to God that must be strengthened several times in life. (Benedict XVI. General Audience, February 13, 2013)

  • Materialistic ideologies tell us it is absurd to observe God’s commandments

Today too, the dragon exists in new and different ways. It exists in the form of materialistic ideologies that tell us it is absurd to think of God; it is absurd to observe God’s commandments: they are a leftover from a time past. Life is only worth living for its own sake. Take everything we can get in this brief moment of life. Consumerism, selfishness and entertainment alone are worthwhile. This is life. This is how we must live. And once again, it seems absurd, impossible, to oppose this dominant mindset with all its media and propagandist power. Today too, it seems impossible to imagine a God who created man and made himself a Child and who was to be the true ruler of the world. (Benedict XVI. Homily for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, August 15, 2007)

  • The only joy that fills the human heart comes from God: the cross of Christ

Can true happiness exist when God is left out of consideration? Experience shows that we are not happy because our material expectations and needs are satisfied. In fact, the only joy that fills the human heart is that which comes from God: indeed, we stand in need of infinite joy. Neither daily concerns nor life’s difficulties succeed in extinguishing the joy that is born from friendship with God. Jesus’ invitation to take up one’s cross and follow him may at first sight seem harsh and contrary to what we hope for, mortifying our desire for personal fulfilment. At a closer look, however, we discover that it is not like this: the witness of the saints shows that in the Cross of Christ, in the love that is given, in renouncing the possession of oneself, one finds that deep serenity which is the source of generous dedication to our brethren, especially to the poor and the needy, and this also gives us joy. The Lenten journey of conversion on which we are setting out today together with the entire Church thus becomes a favourable opportunity, ‘the acceptable time’ (2Cor 6:2) for renewing our filial abandonment in the hands of God and for putting into practice what Jesus continues to repeat to us: ‘If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me’ (Mk 8: 34) and this is how one ventures forth on the path of love and true happiness. (Benedict XVI. General Audience, February 6, 2008)

  • The Church has received from its Founder the mission of showing people the way to true happiness: fidelity to the words of Christ

My dear young friends […] Love and follow the Church, for it has received from its Founder the mission of showing people the way to true happiness. It is not easy to recognise and find authentic happiness in this world in which we live, where people are often held captive by the current ways of thinking. They may think they are ; ‘free’, but they are being led astray and become lost amid the errors or illusions of aberrant ideologies. ‘Freedom itself needs to be set free’ (cf. Veritatis Splendor, 86), and the darkness in which humankind is groping needs to be illuminated. Jesus taught us how this can be done: ‘If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free’ (Jn 8:31-32). The incarnate Word, Word of Truth, makes us free and directs our freedom towards the good. (Benedict XVI. Message to the youth of the 21st World Youth Day, April 9, 2006

Benedict XVI…

…judges Francis’ idea that Koran is a book of peace

  • There is no peace without justice

You know, as I do, that authentic peace is only possible when justice reigns. Our world is thirsting for peace and justice. (Benedict XVI. Address to the new ambassadors to the Holy See, December 18, 2008)

  • Peace is a heavenly gift and a divine grace that demands conforming human history to the divine order

Seen in this way, peace appears as a heavenly gift and a divine grace which demands at every level the exercise of the highest responsibility: that of conforming human history–in truth, justice, freedom and love–to the divine order. Whenever there is a loss of fidelity to the transcendent order, and a loss of respect for that ‘grammar’ of dialogue which is the universal moral law written on human hearts, whenever the integral development of the person and the protection of his fundamental rights are hindered or denied, whenever countless people are forced to endure intolerable injustices and inequalities, how can we hope that the good of peace will be realized? The essential elements which make up the truth of that good are missing. Saint Augustine described peace as tranquillitas Ordinis (De Civitate Dei, XIX, 13) the tranquillity of order. By this, he meant a situation which ultimately enables the truth about man to be fully respected and realized. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XXXIX World Day of Peace, no. 4, January 1, 2006)

  • Peace also demands of everyone a personal response consistent with God’s plan – according to the ‘grammar’ written on human hearts

The transcendent ‘grammar’, that is to say the body of rules for individual action and the reciprocal relationships of persons in accordance with justice and solidarity, is inscribed on human consciences, in which the wise plan of God is reflected. As I recently had occasion to reaffirm: ‘we believe that at the beginning of everything is the Eternal Word, Reason and not Unreason’ (Homily at Regensburg, 12 September 2006). Peace is thus also a task demanding of everyone a personal response consistent with God’s plan. The criterion inspiring this response can only be respect for the ‘grammar’ written on human hearts by the divine Creator. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XL World Day of Peace, January 1, 2007)

  • Recognition and respect for natural law: fundamental presupposition for authentic peace

Recognition and respect for natural law represents the foundation for a dialogue between the followers of the different religions and between believers and non-believers. As a great point of convergence, this is also a fundamental presupposition for authentic peace. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XL World Day of Peace, January 1, 2007)

  • Peace on earth cannot be found without reconciliation with God

Peace on earth cannot be found without reconciliation with God, without harmony between Heaven and earth. (Benedict XVI. Address to the members of the Roman Curia, December 22. 2006)

  • Sin: a progressive rejection of peace

Mankind can overcome that progressive dimming and rejection of peace which is sin in all its forms. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XLVI World Day of Peace, no. 3, January 1. 2013)

  • It is only through the Redemption that man can overcome the progressive rejection of peace, and be an authentic peacemaker

To become authentic peacemakers, it is fundamental to keep in mind our transcendent dimension and to enter into constant dialogue with God, the Father of mercy, whereby we implore the redemption achieved for us by his only-begotten Son. In this way mankind can overcome that progressive dimming and rejection of peace which is sin in all its forms: selfishness and violence, greed and the will to power and dominion, intolerance, hatred and unjust structures. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XLVI World Day of Peace, no. 3, January 1. 2013)

  • True peace comes from Christ

True peace comes from Christ (cf. Jn 14:27). It cannot be compared with the peace that the world gives. It is not the fruit of negotiations and diplomatic agreements based on particular interests. It is the peace of a humanity reconciled with itself in God, a peace of which the Church is the sacrament. (Benedict XVI. Apostolic exhortation Africae munus, no. 30, November 30, 2011)

  • Wherever Christ is welcomed, islands of peace develop

Et erit iste pax’ – this will be peace, the Prophet Micah says (Mic 5:4) about the future ruler of Israel, whose birth in Bethlehem he announces. The Angels said to the shepherds grazing their flocks in the fields around Bethlehem: ‘on earth peace among men’, the expected One has arrived (Lk 2:14). He himself, Christ, the Lord, said to his disciples: ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you’ (Jn 14:27). It is from these words that the liturgical greeting developed: ‘Peace be with you’. This peace that is communicated in the liturgy is Christ himself. He gives himself to us as peace, as reconciliation beyond all frontiers. Wherever he is welcomed, islands of peace develop. (Benedict XVI. Address to the Roman Curia, December 22, 2006)

  • Peace in this world always remains weak and fragile for it implies opening our hearts to God

We human beings would have liked Christ to banish all wars once and for all, to destroy weapons and establish universal peace. But we have to learn that peace cannot be attained only from the outside with structures, and that the attempt to establish it with violence leads only to ever new violence. We must learn that peace – as the Angel of Bethlehem said – is connected with eudokia, with the opening of our hearts to God. We must learn that peace can only exist if hatred and selfishness are overcome from within. The human being must be renewed from within, must become new and different. Thus, peace in this world always remains weak and fragile. We suffer from this. For this very reason we are called especially to let ourselves be penetrated within by God’s peace and to take his power into the world. All that was wrought in and through the Sacrament of Baptism must be fulfilled in our lives: the dying of the former self, hence, the rebirth of the new. And we will pray to the Lord insistently over and over again: Please move hearts! Make us new people! Help the reason of peace to overcome the irrationality of violence! Make us bearers of your peace! (Benedict XVI. Address to the Roman Curia, December 22, 2006)

  • Jesus builds the great new community of new men who place their will in his

The stable becomes a palace – and setting out from this starting-point, Jesus builds the great new community, whose key-word the angels sing at the hour of his birth: ‘Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth to those whom he loves’ – those who place their will in his, in this way becoming men of God, new men, a new world. (Benedict XVI. Homily for the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord, December 25, 2007)

  • Christ is our true peace: in him there is but one family reconciled in love

‘Peace is not merely the absence of war, and it is not limited to maintaining a balance of powers between adversaries. Peace cannot be attained on earth without safeguarding the goods of persons, free communication among men, respect for the dignity of persons and peoples, and the assiduous practice of fraternity’. We Christians believe that Christ is our true peace: in him, by his Cross, God has reconciled the world to himself and has broken down the walls of division that separated us from one another (cf. Eph 2:14 – 18); in him, there is but one family, reconciled in love. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XLV World Day of Peace, no. 5, January 1, 2012)

  • If peace is to be authentic and lasting it must be built on the bedrock of the truth about God and the truth about man

For her part, the Church, in fidelity to the mission she has received from her Founder, is committed to proclaiming everywhere ‘the Gospel of peace’. In the firm conviction that she offers an indispensable service to all those who strive to promote peace, she reminds everyone that, if peace is to be authentic and lasting, it must be built on the bedrock of the truth about God and the truth about man. This truth alone can create a sensitivity to justice and openness to love and solidarity, while encouraging everyone to work for a truly free and harmonious human family. The foundations of authentic peace rest on the truth about God and man. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XXXIX World Day of Peace, no. 15, January 1, 2006)

  • Any authentic search for peace must begin with the realization that the problem of truth and untruth is the concern of every man and woman

Who and what, then, can prevent the coming of peace? Sacred Scripture, in its very first book, Genesis, points to the lie told at the very beginning of history by the animal with a forked tongue, whom the Evangelist John calls ‘the father of lies’ (Jn 8:44). Lying is also one of the sins spoken of in the final chapter of the last book of the Bible, Revelation, which bars liars from the heavenly Jerusalem: ‘outside are… all who love falsehood’ (Jn 22:15). Lying is linked to the tragedy of sin and its perverse consequences, which have had, and continue to have, devastating effects on the lives of individuals and nations. […] Any authentic search for peace must begin with the realization that the problem of truth and untruth is the concern of every man and woman; it is decisive for the peaceful future of our planet. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XXXIX World Day of Peace, January 1, 2006)

  • A fundamental presupposition for authentic peace: respect for the Natural Law– to carry out the divine plan inscribed in the nature of human beings

From this standpoint, the norms of the natural law should not be viewed as externally imposed decrees, as restraints upon human freedom. Rather, they should be welcomed as a call to carry out faithfully the universal divine plan inscribed in the nature of human beings. Guided by these norms, all peoples – within their respective cultures – can draw near to the greatest mystery, which is the mystery of God. Today too, recognition and respect for natural law represents the foundation for a dialogue between the followers of the different religions and between believers and non-believers. As a great point of convergence, this is also a fundamental presupposition for authentic peace. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XL World Day of Peace, January 1, 2007)

  • Violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul

I was reminded of all this recently, when I read the edition by Professor Theodore Khoury (Münster) of part of the dialogue carried on – perhaps in 1391 in the winter barracks near Ankara – by the erudite Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus and an educated Persian on the subject of Christianity and Islam, and the truth of both. […] The dialogue ranges widely over the structures of faith contained in the Bible and in the Qur’an, and deals especially with the image of God and of man, while necessarily returning repeatedly to the relationship between – as they were called – three ‘Laws’ or ‘rules of life’: the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Qur’an. […] In the seventh conversation (διάλεξις – controversy) edited by Professor Khoury, the emperor touches on the theme of the holy war. The emperor must have known that surah 2, 256 reads: ‘There is no compulsion in religion’. According to some of the experts, this is probably one of the suras of the early period, when Mohammed was still powerless and under threat. But naturally the emperor also knew the instructions, developed later and recorded in the Qur’an, concerning holy war. Without descending to details, such as the difference in treatment accorded to those who have the ‘Book’ and the ‘infidels’, he addresses his interlocutor with a startling brusqueness, a brusqueness that we find unacceptable, on the central question about the relationship between religion and violence in general, saying: ‘Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.’ The emperor, after having expressed himself so forcefully, goes on to explain in detail the reasons why spreading the faith through violence is something unreasonable. Violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul. ‘God’, he says, ‘is not pleased by blood – and not acting reasonably (σὺν λόγω) is contrary to God’s nature. Faith is born of the soul, not the body. Whoever would lead someone to faith needs the ability to speak well and to reason properly, without violence and threats… To convince a reasonable soul, one does not need a strong arm, or weapons of any kind, or any other means of threatening a person with death…’. The decisive statement in this argument against violent conversion is this; not to act in accordance with reason is contrary to God’s nature. The editor, Theodore Khoury, observes: For the emperor, as a Byzantine shaped by Greek philosophy, this statement is self-evident. But for Muslim teaching, God is absolutely transcendent. His will is not bound up with any of our categories, even that of rationality. Here Khoury quotes a work of the noted French Islamist R. Arnaldez, who points out that Ibn Hazm went so far as to state that God is not bound even by his own word, and that nothing would oblige him to reveal the truth to us. Were it God’s will, we would even have to practice idolatry. (Benedict XVI. Address in the University of Regensburg, September 12, 2006)

  • Sufferings of the Christian community in Iraq

Sadly, the year now ending has again been marked by persecution, discrimination, terrible acts of violence and religious intolerance. My thoughts turn in a special way to the beloved country of Iraq, which continues to be a theatre of violence and strife as it makes its way towards a future of stability and reconciliation. I think of the recent sufferings of the Christian community, and in particular the reprehensible attack on the Syro-Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Baghdad, where on 31 October two priests and over fifty faithful were killed as they gathered for the celebration of Holy Mass. In the days that followed, other attacks ensued, even on private homes, spreading fear within the Christian community and a desire on the part of many to emigrate in search of a better life. I assure them of my own closeness and that of the entire Church, a closeness which found concrete expression in the recent Special Assembly for the Middle East of the Synod of Bishops. The Synod encouraged the Catholic communities in Iraq and throughout the Middle East to live in communion and to continue to offer a courageous witness of faith in those lands. (Benedict XVI. Message for the celebration of the XLIV World Day of Peace, no. 1, January 1, 2011)

  • Numerous conflicts causing bloodshed in our human family, beginning with that privileged region in God’s plan, the Middle East

Consequently, if the glorification of God and earthly peace are closely linked, it seems evident that peace is both God’s gift and a human task, one which demands our free and conscious response. For this reason, I wished my annual Message for the World Day of Peace to bear the title: Blessed are the Peacemakers. Civil and political authorities before all others have a grave responsibility to work for peace. They are the first called to resolve the numerous conflicts causing bloodshed in our human family, beginning with that privileged region in God’s plan, the Middle East. I think first and foremost of Syria, torn apart by endless slaughter and the scene of dreadful suffering among its civilian population. I renew my appeal for a ceasefire and the inauguration as quickly as possible of a constructive dialogue aimed at putting an end to a conflict which will know no victors but only vanquished if it continues, leaving behind it nothing but a field of ruins. Your Excellencies, allow me to ask you to continue to make your Governments aware of this, so that essential aid will urgently be made available to face this grave humanitarian situation. I now turn with deep concern towards the Holy Land. Following Palestine’s recognition as a Non-Member Observer State of the United Nations, I again express the hope that, with the support of the international community, Israelis and Palestinians will commit themselves to peaceful coexistence within the framework of two sovereign states, where respect for justice and the legitimate aspirations of the two peoples will be preserved and guaranteed. Jerusalem, become what your name signifies! A city of peace and not of division; a prophecy of the Kingdom of God and not a byword for instability and opposition!

As I turn my thoughts towards the beloved Iraqi people, I express my hope that they will pursue the path of reconciliation in order to arrive at the stability for which they long.

In Lebanon, where last September I met the various groups which make up society, may the many religious traditions there be cultivated by all as a true treasure for the country and for the whole region, and may Christians offer an effective witness for the building of a future of peace, together with all men and women of good will!

In North Africa too, cooperation between all the members of society is of primary concern, and each must be guaranteed full citizenship, the liberty publicly to profess their religion and the ability to contribute to the common good. I assure all Egyptians of my closeness and my prayers at this time when new institutions are being set in place.

Turning to sub-Saharan Africa, I encourage the efforts being made to build peace, especially in those places where the wounds of war remain open and where their grave humanitarian consequences are being felt. I think particularly of the Horn of Africa, and the East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where new of acts of violence have erupted, forcing many people to abandon their homes, families and surroundings. Nor can I fail to mention other threats looming on the horizon. Nigeria is regularly the scene of terrorist attacks which reap victims above all among the Christian faithful gathered in prayer, as if hatred intended to turn temples of prayer and peace into places of fear and division. I was deeply saddened to learn that, even in the days when we celebrated Christmas, some Christians were barbarously put to death. Mali is also torn by violence and marked by a profound institutional and social crisis, one which calls for the effective attention of the international community. In the Central African Republic, I hope that the talks announced as taking place shortly will restore stability and spare the people from reliving the throes of civil war. (Benedict XVI. Address to the members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See, January 7, 2013)

Pope Benedict – a prisoner!

AM+DG

Events of this last week have been an eye opener to some. I am speaking of the Book written by Pope Benedict and Cardinal Sarah. Francis’ rage exploded when the book was released just before he intended to release part 2 of the Amazon Synod conclusions. And not only that, the book condemned any suggestion of married priests. It seems as if our good bishops thwarted his plan. How dare a (previous? not actually; he’s still the real pope) holy, authentic Pope challenge Francis’ diabolical plans?

The outrage and the comments by many of those involved prove that he is actually a prisoner  in the Vatican and is seen as a huge threat. As well as all the other evidence now exposed (thanks to Bro. Alexis Bugnolo). To read all his evidence uncovered go to FromRome.wordpress blogsite.

Our Lady of Good Success told us:

The devil will work to persecute the ministers of the Lord in every way, working with baneful cunning to destroy the spirit of their vocation and corrupting many. …. This apparent triumph of Satan will cause enormous suffering to the good pastors of the Church…and to the Supreme Pastor and Vicar of Christ on earth who, a prisoner in the Vatican, will shed secret and bitter tears in the presence of God Our Lord, asking for light, sanctity, and perfection for all the clergy of the world, to whom he is King and Father.”

Jesus tells us in the Book of Truth :

Many Popes have been prisoners in the Holy See surrounded by Masonic groups who do not represent God. They hate God and have spent fifty years spreading untruths about the Mercy of God. Their works have led to the collapse of the Catholic Church. This was not an accident. It was deliberately and cunningly plotted in order to destroy the faith of the Church. To destroy the homage of ordinary Catholics to the One True God….” (Message dated    7 May 2012 @ 6:19pm)

See the whole message at: https://missionofsalvation.com/message-0413/

Now we all know that St Francis tried to tell us hundreds of years ago – about  “2 popes”one of whom would be uncanonically elected and who would be a destroyer.

We know that masons have infiltrated the Vatican; we know and can see the damage they have caused. We should not be surprised that Pope Benedict is a prisoner.

Why is this all a surprise?

The answer is that we had our blinkers on. We didn’t want to see or acknowledge the truth – that this person sitting on the chair of Peter, might be a pretender. But the Truth has a way of coming out. all of this has been foretold, but priests generally ignored or downplayed the prophecies. Since Vatican II, especially, this has been the case and even Fatima was ignored. Fatima was approved, and Our Lady told us what would happen. Why weren’t her instructions followed? Pope John XXIII thought the prophecy was “not for our time”! He disobeyed Our Lady!! He thought he knew better! This is the part I don’t understand. Why would you think you know better than Our blessed Mother? From then on it all started to go downhill quickly.

We were all asleep during that time, but  God never gives up on us. He had another plan. He sent more prophets Garabandal – filmed by National TV ,-  but it was still ignored and labelled ‘not approved or not yet determined’’; then Fr, Gobbi, Akita (reinforcing the Fatima message).

Finally, time was up – God brought out His secret weapon – the Book of Truth. It was actually foretold by Daniel. But the fire had to be put out – it threatened to expose all their plans. But they didn’t succeed. Most priests follow their ill-intentioned or bishops; many bishops have simply followed their peers, without adequate discernment or questioning. Without prayer and without thought.  Who would trust Archbishop Diamond of Ireland now?
Archbishop Fulton Sheen told us that it would not be the clergy who would save the Church, but the laity.

We are all the Laity. We are the Remnant Army– standing up for, and preaching the Truth – fighting against heresy, and trying to defend our one and only (true) pope. This has been our  mission since 2010. And our dear good Pope was-is-  part of God’s plan. So was the fake renunciation.

The Remnant Army, will be led by the true, remaining faithful priests and bishops who have the courage to stand up for Christ and His Church. Jesus tells us this in the Book of Truth also.

Jesus told us that Pope Benedict XVI would be “ousted”. That certainly doesn’t sound like a voluntary resignation. But we have known it all along – for years before it happened. Jesus told us in the Book of Truth. We didn’t listen to the saints, or to His Mother whom he sent many times to tell us. He sent us one last prophet with prophecies from Heaven – His last Mission of Salvation to save souls and to rid the world of evil.

But these 5 volumes of books, contain so much information that it was a threat to these “evil sects” that they immediately jumped onto the messages so that they put fear into everyone. The messages were too precise for their comfort.  If everyone listened when Jesus foretold 2 years before the event that Pope Benedict would be “ousted”  and was in danger, ‘perhaps’ maybe Francis would not be there now. Or maybe the good bishops and Cardinals would have rallied sooner. But we don’t listen!

Jesus tells us that Benedict was the last pope. He calls Francis the “False Prophet” Just as St John the Baptist announced the coming of Christ, Francis is preparing for the arrival of the Anti-Christ. He has already dismantled/mocked/questioned or supplanted many of the True teachings of Christ e.g.Sacraments of Matrimony, Penance and Holy Orders (all through Amoris Laetitia); he has introduced paganism into the Church through an encyclical “Laudate Si”, he has denied the existence of Hell; he has stated that Christ was not both man and God during His Life on earth.

Jesus gave us Crusade Prayer 23 to say for Pope Benedict’s safety on Sunday, January 29th, 2012 @ 22:36

(23) Prayer for Pope Benedict’s safety

Sunday, January 29th, 2012 @ 22:36

O my Eternal Father, on behalf of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ and the suffering he endured to save the world from sin, I pray now that you protect your Holy Vicar, Pope Benedict, head of your Church on earth, so that he too can help save your children and all your sacred servants from the scourge of satan and his dominion of fallen angels who walk the earth stealing souls.

O Father, protect your Pope, so that your children can be guided on the true path towards your new paradise on earth. Amen.

On 11 February 2012 @ 11:30am, Jesus gave us the following message:

My poor Holy Vicar, Pope Benedict XVI will be ousted from the Holy See of Rome

My dearly beloved daughter, the wars are escalating everywhere and very soon, the Hand of My Father will intervene, to bring this evil to a halt.

Fear not, for the plans to save humanity are completed and it will not be long now for My Great Mercy, which will be given to each of you.

Never fear the works of the antichrist, when you, dear children, have the power within you, to weaken his grasp on the world, through your prayers.Other world leaders will be killed soon and My poor Holy Vicar, Pope Benedict XVI, will be ousted from the Holy See in Rome.

Last year, my daughter, I told you of the plot within the corridors of the Vatican.

A plan to destroy My Holy Vicar was devised in secret, on the 17th of March 2011, and this will come to fruition, for it has been foretold.

Spread My Holy Word to every corner of the world now and arrange for the printed versions of My Messages to be spread to as many countries as possible.

You are being guided, so you must do what is best. Ask Me, in prayer, to send you help and it will be done.

Your Jesus

Exactly one year later – on 11th Feb. 2013, Pope Benedict announced his plan to resign. Now, only God can foretell when events will happen – not even the devil knows. Only hours later, God Himself gave us a sign – the lightning hitting the Vatican.

In fact, Jesus told us about the danger to Pope Benedict on 5 March 20112 years before he resigned. He also described Francis – the False Prophet, 2 years before he came onto the scene. Read it in the message below:

All Christians Repent Now, Catholics Pray for Pope Benedict

My beloved daughter we are united once more. You have been busy these last few days. Have you noticed the strength I Am giving you both in faith and body? This is because your work is so pleasing to Me. As you continue to publish these Messages please encourage as many people as you know to seek reconciliation, quickly now, for their sins. It does not matter which Christian faith they belong to. They must show their humility and allegiance to Me through the act of seeking Redemption.

This simple act will make them stronger during the event I refer to as The Warning. Repent, all of you, to save your souls. Prepare for The Warning immediately, because for those of you who are not in the state of grace, you may not survive it.

My beloved daughter, I want you to continue to move quickly to spread the Word regarding these Messages. I have explained to you before that they must be given to as many people as possible in the shortest possible time. As this event looms, so too will an event regarding the Holy Vatican.

Ask everyone to pray for My beloved Holy Vicar Pope Benedict, for he is surrounded by the enemies of My Eternal Father. Pray for the priests who have never wavered in their faith to Me or My Eternal Father.

Rise of the false prophet
They need to pray hard now, as the outcome of this attack on My Holy Vicar will be witnessed by you all. Pray, pray, pray that the false prophet will be identified for what he is. Watch out for his demeanour. His attention seeking agenda, the way in which My misguided sacred servants will drop in awe at his feet. Then listen to what he has to say, carefully. His humility will be false, his intentions mischievous and the love he exudes will be all about him. He will be seen as being innovative, dynamic – a breath of fresh air. While he is driven and energetic, his powers will not come from God the Eternal Father. They come from Satan, the evil one.

Pray, pray, pray. For you, My children, need to be on your guard. You need Me to guide you now as these prophecies are revealed to mankind. Be strong, loyal to My Teachings. Pray in groups. Pray the Holy Rosary to seek protection from the evil one.

Remember one lesson. My Teachings never change. They are the same as they have always been. As I said before, it is when you find that they are tampered with, toned down, or as will be the case, distorted in a way that seems strange, or at odds with My Teachings, turn away and pray to Me for guidance.

Your Divine Saviour
Jesus Christ

Pope Benedict Vs. Francis Part 2

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Benedict XVI…

…judges Francis’ idea on proclaiming the Gospel only with gentleness

  • It is our mission to proclaim the whole of God’s will, in its totality and ultimate simplicity – even when inconvenient

This is important; the Apostle did not preach an ‘à la carte’ Christianity to suit his own inclinations, he did not preach a Gospel to suit his own favourite theological ideas; he did not shrink from the commitment to proclaiming the whole of God’s will, even an inconvenient will and even topics of which he was personally not so enamoured. It is our mission to proclaim the whole of God’s will, in its totality and ultimate simplicity. But it is important that we teach and preach, as St Paul says here, and really propose the will of God in its entirety. (Benedict XVI. Lectio Divina given at the meeting with the parish priests of the Rome diocese, March 10, 2011)

  • Christian admonishment is always moved by love and mercy

I am thinking of all those Christians who, out of human regard or purely personal convenience, adapt to the prevailing mentality, rather than warning their brothers and sisters against ways of thinking and acting that are contrary to the truth and that do not follow the path of goodness. Christian admonishment, for its part, is never motivated by a spirit of accusation or recrimination. It is always moved by love and mercy, and springs from genuine concern for the good of the other. (Benedict XVI. Message for lent, 2012, no. 1, November 3, 2011)

…judges Francis’ idea on proclaiming the Gospel

  • The hermeneutic of discontinuity: a split between the pre-conciliar and the post-conciliar Church. This is to fundamentally misunderstand what a Council is

What has been the result of the Council? Was it well received? What, in the acceptance of the Council, was good and what was inadequate or mistaken? What still remains to be done? […] The question arises: Why has the implementation of the Council, in large parts of the Church, thus far been so difficult? Well, it all depends on the correct interpretation of the Council or – as we would say today – on its proper hermeneutics, the correct key to its interpretation and application. The problems in its implementation arose from the fact that two contrary hermeneutics came face to face and quarreled with each other. One caused confusion, the other, silently but more and more visibly, bore and is bearing fruit. On the one hand, there is an interpretation that I would call ‘a hermeneutic of discontinuity and rupture’; it has frequently availed itself of the sympathies of the mass media, and also one trend of modern theology. On the other, there is the ‘hermeneutic of reform’, of renewal in the continuity of the one subject-Church which the Lord has given to us. She is a subject which increases in time and develops, yet always remaining the same, the one subject of the journeying People of God. The hermeneutic of discontinuity risks ending in a split between the pre-conciliar Church and the post-conciliar Church. […] The nature of a Council as such is therefore basically misunderstood. In this way, it is considered as a sort of constituent that eliminates an old constitution and creates a new one. (Benedict XVI. Address to the Roman Curia, December 22, 2005)

  • We must see the Council in this perspective of continuity

This point is also important with regard to the Council. We need not, as I said to the Roman Curia before Christmas, live the hermeneutic of discontinuity, but rather the hermeneutic of renewal, which is the spirituality of continuity, of going ahead in continuity. […] We must accept newness but also love continuity, and we must see the Council in this perspective of continuity. (Benedict XVI. Address to the members of the Roman clergy, March 2, 2006)

  • The Church, both before and after the Council, was and is the same Church

The Church, both before and after the Council, was and is the same Church, one, holy, catholic and apostolic, journeying on through time; she continues ‘her pilgrimage amid the persecutions of the world and the consolations of God’, proclaiming the death of the Lord until he comes (cf. Lumen Gentium, no. 8). (Benedict XVI. Address to the Roman Curia, December 22, 2005)

  • Proclaim the Gospel without fear or reticence, never yielding to the conditioning of the world

The truth about Gospel love concerns every person and the whole person, and involves the Pastor in proclaiming it without fear or reticence, and never yielding to the conditioning of the world in season and out of season (cf. 2Tim 4:2). Dear Brothers in the Episcopate, in a time such as our own, marked by the growing phenomenon of globalization, it is ever more necessary to make the truth about Christ and his Gospel of salvation reach everyone. (Benedict XVI. Address to the members of the 11th Ordinary Council of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops, June 1, 2006)

  • The Church of love is also the Church of truth and fidelity to the Gospel

The Church of love is also the Church of truth, understood primarily as fidelity to the Gospel entrusted by the Lord Jesus to his followers. It was being made children of the same Father by the Spirit of truth that gave rise to Christian brotherhood: ‘For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God’ (Rom 8:14). However, if the family of God’s children is to live in unity and peace, it needs someone to keep it in the truth and guide it with wise and authoritative discernment: this is what the ministry of the Apostles is required to do. (Benedict XVI. General audience, April 5, 2006)

…judges Francis’ idea on new forms of poverty

  • …but there are those who have totally destroyed their desire for truth

There can be people who have totally destroyed their desire for truth and readiness to love, people for whom everything has become a lie, people who have lived for hatred and have suppressed all love within themselves. This is a terrifying thought, but alarming profiles of this type can be seen in certain figures of our own history. In such people all would be beyond remedy and the destruction of good would be irrevocable: this is what we mean by the word Hell. (Benedict XVI. Encyclical Spe salvi, no. 45, November 30, 2007)

  • It is not enough to care for the body, we must adorn the soul with the divine gifts acquired through Baptism

Through treatment, which includes medical, psychological and educational assistance, and through much prayer, manual work and discipline, many people – especially young people –have already succeeded in freeing themselves from alcohol and drug dependency, thereby recovering meaning in their lives. I wish to express my appreciation for this work, which has the charism of Saint Francis and the spirituality of the Focolare Movement as its spiritual foundation. Reintegration in society undoubtedly demonstrates the effectiveness of your initiative. Yet it is the conversions, the rediscovery of God and active participation in the life of the Church which attract even greater attention and which confirm the importance of your work. It is not enough to care for the body, we must adorn the soul with the most precious divine gifts acquired through Baptism. Let us thank God for all those who have set out along the path of renewed hope, with the help of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the celebration of the Eucharist. (Benedict XVI. Address to the Community of Fazenda da Esperança, no. 4, May 25, 2007)

  • The Church’s charitable activity is not just another form of social assistance

For this reason, it is very important that the Church’s charitable activity maintains all of its splendour and does not become just another form of social assistance. (Benedict XVI. Encyclical Deus caritas est, no. 31, December 25, 2005)

…judges Francis’ idea on the ‘Bread of Life’

  • In the Eucharist Jesus offers his own body and pours out his own blood

In the Eucharist Jesus does not give us a ‘thing,’ but himself; he offers his own body and pours out his own blood. He thus gives us the totality of his life and reveals the ultimate origin of this love. He is the eternal Son, given to us by the Father. In the Gospel we hear how Jesus, after feeding the crowds by multiplying the loaves and fishes, says to those who had followed him to the synagogue of Capernaum: ‘My Father gives you the true bread from heaven; for the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world’ (Jn 6:32-33), and even identifies himself, his own flesh and blood, with that bread: ‘I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh’ (Jn 6:51). Jesus thus shows that he is the bread of life which the eternal Father gives to mankind. (Benedict XVI. Apostolic exhortation Sacramentum caritatis, no. 7, February 22, 2007)

  • By receiving the body and blood of Jesus Christ we become sharers in the divine life in a more conscious way

The Lord Jesus, who became for us the food of truth and love, speaks of the gift of his life and assures us that ‘if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever’ (Jn 6:51). This ‘eternal life’ begins in us even now, thanks to the transformation effected in us by the gift of the Eucharist: ‘He who eats me will live because of me’ (Jn 6:57). These words of Jesus make us realize how the mystery ‘believed’ and ‘celebrated’ contains an innate power making it the principle of new life within us and the form of our Christian existence. By receiving the body and blood of Jesus Christ we become sharers in the divine life in an ever more adult and conscious way. Here too, we can apply Saint Augustine’s words, in his Confessions, about the eternal Logos as the food of our souls. Stressing the mysterious nature of this food, Augustine imagines the Lord saying to him: ‘I am the food of grown men; grow, and you shall feed upon me; nor shall you change me, like the food of your flesh, into yourself, but you shall be changed into me’ (VII, 10, 16: PL 32, 742). It is not the eucharistic food that is changed into us, but rather we who are mysteriously transformed by it. Christ nourishes us by uniting us to himself; ‘he draws us into himself’. (Benedict XVI, Homily at Marienfeld Esplanade, 21 August 2005 (Benedict XVI. Apostolic exhortation Sacramentum caritatis, no. 70, February 22, 2007)

  • With the multiplication of the loaves, Jesus announces the Eucharistic Bread

Afterwards, the people, seeing this miracle [the multiplication of the loaves], that seemed to be the much-awaited renewal of a new ‘manna’, of the gift of bread from heaven, wanted to make him king. But Jesus does not accept and withdraws into the hills by himself to pray. The following day, on the other side of the lake in the Synagogue of Capernaum, Jesus explained the miracle – not in the sense of a kingship over Israel with a worldly power in the way the crowds hoped, but in the sense of the gift of self: ‘The bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh’ (Jn 6: 51). Jesus announces the Cross and with the Cross the true multiplication of the loaves, the Eucharistic bread his absolutely new way of kingship, a way completely contrary to the expectations of the people. (Benedict XVI. General audience, May 24, 2006)

  • The Eucharist is nourishment for the soul

Let us give thanks to God for the gift of bread; for the Eucharist, nourishment of the soul, as well as for our daily bread, nourishment for the body. May God bless the harvest of this year and all of those working for it. (Benedict XVI. General audience, greeting to the Polish pilgrims, August 19, 2009)

The English Denzinger-Bergoglio site (which was run by priests, and which (strangely??) has not been active for a few years, was invaluable and priceless in terms of comparing everything Francis claimed to what authentic Church Teaching says.

We have a few good bishops and just a few priests who publicly publish corrections of what Francis says and does, but they are not enough.

The following is an example of one article I had saved. It is very long, so I will post just a few bits every day. There are 17 parts in all. I will try to post one each day. They are an invaluable resource to have on hand for arguments against Francis’ problematic teachings and sayings.

Benedict XVI…

…judges Francis’ idea on Ecumenical dialogue

  • Today, having a clear faith based on the Creed of the Church is often labelled as fundamentalism

How many winds of doctrine have we known in recent decades, how many ideological currents, how many ways of thinking. The small boat of the thought of many Christians has often been tossed about by these waves – flung from one extreme to another: from Marxism to liberalism, even to libertinism; from collectivism to radical individualism; from atheism to a vague religious mysticism; from agnosticism to syncretism and so forth. Every day new sects spring up, and what St Paul says about human deception and the trickery that strives to entice people into error (cf. Eph 4: 14) comes true. Today, having a clear faith based on the Creed of the Church is often labeled as fundamentalism. Whereas relativism, that is, letting oneself be ‘tossed here and there, carried about by every wind of doctrine’, seems the only attitude that can cope with modern times. We are building a dictatorship of relativism that does not recognize anything as definitive and whose ultimate goal consists solely of one’s own ego and desires. (Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. Homily for the Pro eligendo Pontifice, April 18, 2005)

  • The first service that Christians can render to humanity: the proclamation and witness to the Gospel

Actually, the proclamation of and witness to the Gospel are the first service that Christians can render to every person and to the entire human race, called as they are to communicate to all God’s love, which was fully manifested in Jesus Christ, the one Redeemer of the world. (Benedict XVI. Address to the participants of the International Conference on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Conciliar decree Ad gentes, March 11, 2006)

…judges Francis’ idea on God judging us by loving us

  • Conversion without repentance is a false interpretation of grace

Next let us reflect further on this verse: Christ, the Savior, gave to Israel repentance and forgiveness of sins (v. 31) in the Greek text the term is metanoia he gave repentance and pardon for sins. This to me is a very important observation: repentance is a grace. There is an exegetical trend that states that in Galilee Jesus would have proclaimed a grace without conditions, absolutely unconditional, therefore also without penitence, grace as such, without human preconditions. But this is a false interpretation of grace. Repentance is grace; it is a grace that we recognize our sin; it is a grace that we realize the need for renewal, for change, for the transformation of our being. Repentance, the capacity to be penitent, is a gift of grace. And I must say that we Christians, even in recent times, have often avoided the word penitence it seemed to us too difficult. (Benedict XVI. Homily for the Eucharistic Concelebration with the members of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, April 15, 2010)

  • God is justice and creates justice

The image of the Last Judgement is not primarily an image of terror, but an image of hope; for us it may even be the decisive image of hope. Is it not also a frightening image? I would say: it is an image that evokes responsibility, an image, therefore, of that fear of which Saint Hilary spoke when he said that all our fear has its place in love. God is justice and creates justice. This is our consolation and our hope. And in his justice there is also grace. This we know by turning our gaze to the crucified and risen Christ. Both these things–justice and grace–must be seen in their correct inner relationship. Grace does not cancel out justice. It does not make wrong into right. It is not a sponge which wipes everything away, so that whatever someone has done on earth ends up being of equal value. (Benedict XVI. Encyclical Spe salvi, no. 44, November 30, 2007)

…judges Francis’ idea on Jesus asking forgiveness from his parents

  • Jesus’ answer shows that he had done nothing unusual or disobedient in staying at the Temple

In the episode of the 12-year-old Jesus, the first words of Jesus are also recorded: ‘How is it that you sought me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?’ (Lk 2:49). After three days spent looking for him his parents found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions (Lk 2:46). His answer to the question of why he had done this to his father and mother was that he had only done what the Son should do, that is, to be with his Father. Thus he showed who is the true Father, what is the true home, and that he had done nothing unusual or disobedient. He had stayed where the Son ought to be, that is, with the Father, and he stressed who his Father was. (Benedict XVI. General audience, December 28, 2011)

…judges Francis’ idea on Grace

  • In Saint Paul the power of God’s grace served as an inner ‘lever’ with which God could propel him onwards

Paul experienced in an extraordinary way the power of God’s grace […] All of his preaching and even more his entire missionary existence was sustained by an inner urge that can be traced back to the fundamental experience of ‘grace’. ‘By the grace of God I am what I am’, he writes to the Corinthians, ‘…I worked harder than any of them [the Apostles], though it was not I, but the grace of God which is with me’ (1Cor 15:10). It is a question of an awareness that surfaces in all his writings and that served as an inner ‘lever’ with which God could propel him onwards, toward ever further boundaries, not only geographical but also spiritual. (Benedict XVI. Homily on Ash Wednesday, February 25, 2009)

…judges Francis’ idea on Faith

  • Faith demands to be passed on: it was not given to us merely for ourselves

Faith demands to be passed on: it was not given to us merely for ourselves, for the personal salvation of our own souls, but for others, for this world and for our time. (Benedict XVI. Homily for the Episcopal ordination of five new Bishops, September 12, 2009)

  • We do not ‘have’ faith in the sense that it must not be invented by us

‘How do we acquire a living faith, a truly Catholic faith, a faith that is practical, lively and effective?’ Faith, ultimately, is a gift. Consequently, the first condition is to let ourselves be given something, not to be self-sufficient or do everything by ourselves – because we cannot -, but to open ourselves in the awareness that the Lord truly gives. It seems to me that this gesture of openness is also the first gesture of prayer: being open to the Lord’s presence and to his gift. This is also the first step in receiving something that we do not have, that we cannot have with the intention of acquiring it all on our own. We must make this gesture of openness, of prayer – give me faith, Lord! – with our whole being. We must enter into this willingness to accept the gift and let ourselves, our thoughts, our affections and our will, be completely immersed in this gift. Here, I think it is very important to stress one essential point: no one believes purely on his own. . The Creed is always a shared act, it means letting ourselves be incorporated into a communion of progress, life, words and thought. We do not ‘have’ faith, in the sense that it is primarily God who gives it to us. Nor do we ‘have’ it either, in the sense that it must not be invented by us. We must let ourselves fall, so to speak, into the communion of faith, of the Church. Believing is in itself a Catholic act. It is participation in this great certainty, which is present in the Church as a living subject. (Benedict XVI. Meeting with the members of the Roman clergy, March 2. 2006)

  • We believe together with the Church

The other thing concerns the fact that we ourselves cannot invent faith, composing it with ‘sustainable’ pieces, but we believe together with the Church. (Benedict XVI. Address to the Bishops of Switzerland, November 7, 2006)

  • Faith is a gift, not a product of our thought or reflection

Faith is not a product of our thought or our reflection; it is something new that we cannot invent but only receive as a gift, as a new thing produced by God. (Benedict XVI. General audience, December 10, 2008)

…judges Francis’ idea on Catholic Faith and Lutheran belief

  • The Eucharist is found at the root of the Church as a mystery of communion

This is why Christian antiquity used the same words, Corpus Christi, to designate Christ’s body born of the Virgin Mary, his eucharistic body and his ecclesial body. This clear datum of the tradition helps us to appreciate the inseparability of Christ and the Church. The Lord Jesus, by offering himself in sacrifice for us, in his gift effectively pointed to the mystery of the Church. It is significant that the Second Eucharistic Prayer, invoking the Paraclete, formulates its prayer for the unity of the Church as follows: ‘may all of us who share in the body and blood of Christ be brought together in unity by the Holy Spirit.’ These words help us to see clearly how the res of the sacrament of the Eucharist is the unity of the faithful within ecclesial communion. The Eucharist is thus found at the root of the Church as a mystery of communion. (Benedict XVI. Apostolic exhortation Sacramentum Caritatis, no. 15, February 22, 2007)

  • Faith is a gift – it is God who gives us faith; it is not invented by us

‘How do we acquire a living faith, a truly Catholic faith, a faith that is practical, lively and effective?’ Faith, ultimately, is a gift. […] We do not ‘have’ faith, in the sense that it is primarily God who gives it to us. Nor do we ‘have’ it either, in the sense that it must not be invented by us. (Benedict XVI. Meeting with the members of the Roman Clergy, March 2, 2006)

Australia’s Plenary Council: “Blueprint for de-Catholicization”

AM+DG

ChurchMilitant.com posted an article entitled: “Leftists Crafting Vision for New Australian Church”     and subtitled“Plenary Council 2020 a blueprint for de-Catholicization” . It was posted by Stephen Wynne  on July 30, 2019

On 28th July, the National Centre for Pastoral Research issued “Listen to What the Spirit is Saying, the 314-page final report on the preparatory “listening and dialogue” sessions of Plenary Council 2020.

You can read all about the “remaking” of the Catholic Church in Australia here: https://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/looking-ahead-to-the-1970s

______________________

Background to The Plenary Council and its implementation – a personal view

This Plenary council has been planned way back – after the synod of 2015.  See our article 31 Dec. 2016 at:  https://remnantdisciplesjtm.com/2016/12/31/archbishop-mark-coleridge-showing-his-true-colours/

and also:

https://remnantdisciplesjtm.com/2016/08/21/the-bishop-of-brisbane-joins-the-throng/

When I read the statement that there would be a council in Australia in 2020 , I thought it was to carry out the fp’s agenda – which was quite clear after that synod. But I thought “Who is he (Bishop Coleridge) to make this decision?” He was just a bishop in one capital city. He is as modernist as they come. He was one of the first bishops to condemn the Book of Truth. Say no more!!

Read about his heresies, blasphemies and the erotic play he staged in a beautiful historic Church – in front of the tabernacle in the Sacred Space of the altar.  Read more about these in one of our previous posts: https://remnantdisciplesjtm.com/2016/12/31/archbishop-mark-coleridge-showing-his-true-colours/

and also the article in LifeSite News:nude-fashion-show

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/catholic-archdiocese-allows-sacrilegious-sexually-charged-fashion-show-in-a

This was the best picture (at right) I could post – you would not want to see the true horror of it all.

Since then he has been elevated to the head of the Bishops’ Conference in Australia. It’s always a surprise to see how things pan out. And I can’t help to think that they had to somehow get Cardinal Pell out of the picture.

Earlier this year, in the parishes, there were the usual “survey forms” asking all the leading questions – just like before the synods of 2014 and 2015. This is predictable. They can say that it was the will of the people. And so many of the faithful will be deceived, and just go along with it all – to their own peril.

Tony M. on the final preparatory Report just released on the Plenary Council to be held in Australia in 2020.

” What you read (in Stephen Wynne’s article on Church Militant – see link at top of page) is exactly what so many of us saw coming with the Plenary Council in Australia( A trumped up name to make this process look as legitimate as possible).

The thoughts of those who have contributed to this document (the preparatory statement of Plenary Council) are the thoughts of people who have lost the true Catholic faith. The document is a natural flow on from the Apostolic Exhortation ‘Amoris Laetitia‘ and the Instrumentum Laboris for the Pan-Amazonian Synod & along with other documents issued from the man currently occupying the Chair of Peter.

If these recommendations were implemented, they would simply be the Australian Catholic Church implementing the heretical teachings in those documents, teachings that are in fact not compassionate, but that show no concern for the eternal future of the recipients of this heretical counselling that would bring hundreds of thousands in our country to receive Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament unworthily.…. and thus commit another mortal sin…. which if unrepented would result in their going to Hell forever.  Very Compassionate!!!! Sure!!….and in fact a show of compassion which is fake, and in fact a morally weak form of counselling that gives those, they are supposedly helping, the short term ‘warm fuzzies’ by making them feel very comfortable in sins that will take them to their eternal damnation.

Repeating….the thoughts of those in this document are the thoughts of people who have lost the faith and are in fact now in apostasy. Why don’t these people at least have the honesty to admit that they no longer believe in the teachings of the Catholic Faith most of them were born into….and to leave it and start a new ‘religion’ if it could even be called that. At least the initiators of the Reformation were truthful enough to do that.

There are many who believe the listening and dialogue’ sessions are a sham to make Australian Catholics believe they had some input into the final heretical document which has probably already been produced, and also an excuse for the hierarchy to implement an heretical agenda.

As a Catholic speaker for over 25 years, having travelled the country to hundreds of parishes spreading Our Blessed Mother’s messages through Her various Apparitions (at much personal expense and family sacrifice), with the purpose of helping people reach salvation and to avoid Hell forever…..what I have read in the article ( see link at beginning of this post)  sickens me to the core.

May we pray for the conversion of all involved in this apostate agenda, and warn as many as possible of the nefarious purpose of the Plenary Council of Australia.

May we fight this agenda until we drop.

May we, if we are unable to stop it, never succumb to it, accept and go along with it.

May we build the Remnant Church that Pope Benedict spoke of when he prophesied, “She will become small and will have to start afresh more or less from the beginning. She will no longer be able to inhabit many of the edifices she built in prosperity.”

May we never lose the true Catholic Faith given to us by Our Lord Jesus Chris tHimself and faithfully preserved for us by our forebears through the 2000 year history of our wonderful Catholic Church.

May we pray fervently to God and His Holy Mother to help us right now.

There is no longer any time for sweet talk.

We must resist heresy and the desecration, irreverence and sacrilege against Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar. I have had indications more recently, that He is suffering so much from this in today’s Church.

God Bless,

Tony M

PS: I have felt for some time that with the upcoming Plenary Council, Australia is being used as a ‘guinea pig’ for the implementation of Bergoglio’s agenda as per Amoris Laetitia, the Pan Amazonian Synod etc etc…..and once implemented in Australia will then quickly be implemented in the Church all over the planet.”

Stumbling Blocks: The Two Popes

AM+DG

The other stumbling block that has prevented people from recognizing the truth about what is actually happening in the Church, is the fact that there are two popes. People think that one has resigned, but once a pope, always a pope, and he deliberately only gave Bp.. Bergoglio the part of the papacy which ‘governs’. Don’t people think this is a bit weird?

There are many prophets who have told us that this would happen. There are Catholic prophecies from Saints, yet people don’t know of them. In this age of technology, you would think it would be easy. But even most priests and bishops dare not acknowledge these prophecies. Maybe they haven’t read them?

It might be possible to dismiss any individual one, and try to explain it away, but taken as a whole – they cannot be ignored. Looking at the Church today – they all make sense.

1. St Francis of Assisi

Before his death in 1226, St. Francis of Assisi called together the friars of his Order and detailed this prophecy of what was to come in the latter days concerning a future pope. The following is taken from Works of the Seraphic Father St. Francis of Assisi, R. Washbourne Publishing House, 1882, pp. 248-250, with imprimatur by His Excellency William Bernard, Bishop of Birmingham. The source of this prophecy is the Writings of St. Francis (1623) by Fr. Luke Wadding, preeminent historian and scholar on St. Francis of Assisi.

“At the time of this tribulation, a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error…. Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true pastor, but a destroyer.”

2. Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich 1820

May 13, 1820

“I saw also the relationship between the two popes. . .

I saw how baleful (harmful) would be the consequences of this false church. I saw it increase in size; heretics of every kind came into the city (of Rome). The local clergy grew lukewarm, and I saw a great darkness…”

Once more I saw that the Church of Peter was undermined by a plan evolved by the secret sect, while storms were damaging it. But I saw also that help was coming when distress had reached its peak. I saw again the Blessed Virgin ascend on the Church and spread her mantle [over it].”

July, 1820

“I saw the Holy Father surrounded by traitors and in great distress about the Church. He had visions and apparitions in his hour of greatest need. I saw many good pious Bishops; but they were weak and wavering, their cowardice often got the upper hand…Then I saw darkness spreading around and people no longer seeking the true Church.”

August 10, 1820

I see the Holy Father in great anguish. He lives in a palace other than before and he admits only a limited number of friends near him. I fear that the Holy Father will suffer many more trials before he dies. I see that the false Church of darkness is making progress and I see the dreadful influence it has on the people. The Holy Father and the Church are verily in so great a distress that one must implore God night and day…”

“I have been told to pray much for the Church and the Pope…The people must pray earnestly for the extirpation (rooting out) of the dark church.”

October 1, 1820

“The Church is in great danger. We must pray so that the Pope may not leave Rome; countless evils would result if he did. They are now demanding something from him. The Protestant doctrine and that of the schismatic Greeks are to spread everywhere. I now see that in this place (Rome) the (Catholic) Church is being so cleverly undermined, that there hardly remain a hundred or so priests who have not been deceived. They all work for destruction, even the clergy. A great devastation is now near at hand.”

“In those days Faith will fall very low and it will be preserved in some places only.”

“The Little Black Man in Rome, whom I see so often, has many working for him without their clearly knowing for what end. He has his agents in the New Black Church also. If the Pope leaves Rome, the enemies of the Church will get the upper hand. I see the Little Black Man in his own country committing many thefts and falsifying things generally. Religion is there so skilfully undermined and stifled that there are scarcely 100 faithful priests. I cannot say how it is, but I see fog and darkness increasing … All must be rebuilt soon; for everyone, even ecclesiastics, are laboring to destroy (and) ruin is at hand.

N.b. The Jesuits wear black. The head of the Jesuits is referred to as the ”black pope”. Pope Francis is a Jesuit.

3. Our Lady of La Salette declared to Melanie Calvat (1831-1904):

      • Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the antichrist.”
      • ‘The Church will be eclipsed, the world will be in consternation..” [Abbé Combe, the editor of the 1904 edition, adds the following note after this paragraph. ‘I have from Melanie that the Church will be eclipsed in this sense, that 1) one will not know which is the true pope;
      • for a time: the Holy Sacrifice will cease to be offered in churches, and also in houses: so there will be no more public worship. But she saw that yet the Holy Sacrifice would not cease: it would be offered in caves, in tunnels, in barns and in alcoves.’] (.” Abbot Combe: “The Secret of Melanie and the Actual Crisis”, Rome, 1906, p.137.)

“The Church will be in eclipse”: Eclipse means hidden; covered up; seeming to disappear. The Holy Scriptures say: “Where there is Peter, there is the Church.” Melanie understood that Peter would be hidden- along with the Church, and that his “eclipse” would be a prelude to the disappearance of the Mass.  This reference to “Peter being hidden” represents Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI who is mostly hidden from our eyes and is prevented from exercising his Petrine ministry.

    • “The Holy Father will suffer a great deal because for a while the Church will yield to large persecution, a time of darkness and the Church will witness a frightful crisis

We are seeing right now, in these last few months the persecution of the church – Fr Kalchik, Cardinal Pell, Fr. Nicholas Rynne, and no doubt many others. A ‘time of darkness’ – Amoris Laetitia, the homosexual problem of bishops and priests in the Church , as well as crimes against children…

Obviously, it is not Pope Francis who is suffering! And the ‘frightful crisis of the Church’ is almost (if not already) upon us.

4. Prophecy of POPE PIUS X 1909

The following prophecy is about the pope who will have to flee Rome (later repeated by Sr Lucy of Fatima).

Pope Pius X’s second vision refers to a pope of the same name who will have to flee Rome.

Joseph Ratzinger is the only Pope (Emeritus means he still holds the reins of  Pope ) who has the same Christian name as Pope Pius X.

Pope Pius X’s name was ‘Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto – Guiseppe translated is “Joseph”. Pope Benedict XI’s name is  ‘Joseph Ratzinger’.

” In 1909, during an audience for the general chapter of the Franciscan Order, Pope Pius X suddenly fell into a trance. The audience waited in reverent silence. When he awoke, the Pope cried out:

“What I see is terrifying! Will it be myself? Will it be my successor? What is certain is that the Pope will quit Rome, and in leaving the Vatican he will have to walk over the dead bodies of his priests.  [This was precisely the vision sister Lucia received of the martyr pope dressed in white!]

“Do not tell anyone this while I am alive.”

Just prior to his death (August 20, 1914), Pope Pius X had another vision:

“I have seen one of my successors, of the same name, who was fleeing over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place; but after a brief respite, he will die a cruel death.

“Respect for God has disappeared from human hearts. They wish to efface even God’s memory. This perversity is nothing less than the beginning of the last days of the world.”

5. Fatima 1917

      • In the Third Secret [of Fatima] it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top. –Mario L. Ciappi, Cardinal and household theologian to John Paul II; quoted in The Devil’s Final Battle, p. 33
      • Satan rules even in the highest positions and determines the direction of things. He will succeed in worming his way even into the highest summits of the Church…”
      • “But this will be a time of great trials for the Church. Cardinals will oppose cardinals. Bishops will oppose bishops. Satan will walk in their ranks. In Rome, there will be great changes. What is rotten will fall and what will fall will never rise again. Darkness will envelope the Church and the world will be thrown into a panic.”

The quote given above is taken from a German periodical published in 1963, Neues Europa, and received unofficial approbation in the 1960’s by several Church officials who had read the original 3rd Secret text hand-written by Sister Lucia. Among these Church officials was the respected Cardinal Ottovani. (Taken from:  http://marienfried.com/catholic%20teachings/prophecy%20of%20apostasy.html

  • At an interview of (Jesuit) Fr Malachi Martin in 1998, who was present at the reading of the Third Secret in 1960 by Pope John XXIII, Art Bell asked him if the statement that “The last pope will be under the control of Satan” is true and really part of the Third Secret,– he replies “Yes. That is correct”. See the whole interview at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gn–7GTffn8. See especially: 1h:46m:30s to 1h:47m:20s

      • “The world will be afflicted with wars, famine, the martyrdom of the good, persecution of the Church and the Holy Father, the annihilation of nations, and apostasy from the one true Faith”.

 6. St. Faustina

It is not generally known that St. Faustina, known for her role in establishing the devotion to Divine Mercy, penned an unusual entry into her diary on December 17, 1936. Entry 823 is as follows.

“I have offered this day for priests. I have suffered more today than ever before, both interiorly and exteriorly. I did not know it was possible to suffer so much in one day. I tried to make a Holy Hour, in the course of which my spirit had a taste of the bitterness of the Garden of Gethsemane. I am fighting alone, supported by His arm, against all the difficulties that face me like unassailable walls. But I trust in the power of His name and I fear nothing.”

Note that Faustina that day was making reparation for priests, an offering that brought upon her the worst suffering she had ever endured. But too, on that bitter day of December 17, 1936, was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who would later reign as Pope Francis, the 266th pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church.

Could it be that Faustina that day was atoning for the many priests, bishops, and cardinals of the future who would be misled by Francis? But too, could it be that her mysterious torment signaled the arrival of a future anti-pope who would destroy the Faith in the name of “mercy?”

7. Ven. Archbishop Fulton Sheen (1950)

  • The mystical body on earth today will have its Judas Iscariot and he will be the false prophet. Satan will recruit him from among our bishops.”
  • “We are living in the days of the Apocalypse–the last days of our era…. The two great forces of the Mystical Body of Christ and the Mystical Body of Antichrist are beginning to draw up the battle lines for the catastrophic contest.” (Flynn T & L. The Thunder of Justice. Maxkol Communications, Sterling, VA, 1993, p. 20)

He also said:

  • “The False Prophet will have a religion without a cross. A religion without a world to come. A religion to destroy religions. There will be a counterfeit church. Christ’s Church [the Catholic Church] will be one. And the False Prophet will create the other. The false church will be worldly, ecumenical, and global. It will be a loose federation of churches. And religions forming some type of global association. A world parliament of churches. It will be emptied of all divine content and will be the mystical body of the Antichrist.

8. The Revelation from Garabandal that there would be 3 more popes

This claim matches that of the original  St. Malachi prophecy – that the last Pope would be “the glory of the olive” who would be the final pope of this age. This, of course, is Benedict.

Conchita explained that her mention of only three was because she was told one of the original four [John Paul I] would only last for a very short time. She doesn’t count Francis as a pope at all; the prophecies of Our Lady are never inaccurate.

 9.  Fr Gobbi

Message #406, June 13 1989

“This masonic infiltration, in the interior of the Church, was already foretold to you by Me, at Fatima, when I announced to you that Satan would enter in even to the summit of the Church.”

      • “The first sign is the spread of errors, which lead to the loss of faith and to apostasy. These errors are being propagated by false teachers, by renowned theologians who are no longer teaching the truths of the gospel, but pernicious heresies based on errors and on human reasoning. It is because of the teaching of these errors that the true faith is being lost and that the great apostasy is spreading everywhere.”
      • “First of all, a great apostasy is spreading in every part of the Church, through the lack of faith which is flooding even among its very pastors. Satan has succeeded in spreading everywhere the great apostasy, by means of his subtle work of seduction, which has brought many to be alienated from the truth of the Gospel to follow the fables of the new theological theories and to take delight in evil and in sin, sought after as an actual good.”
      • “This great apostasy is spreading more and more, even through the interior of the Catholic Church. Errors are being taught and spread about, while the fundamental truths of the faith, which the authentic Magisterium of the Church has always taught and energetically defended against any heretical deviation whatsoever, are being denied with impunity.

Some examples of the errors and apostasy that we see today in this pontificate , (mentioned by Our Lady to Fr. Gobbi), include:

Statements of the man sitting on the throne of Peter which include:

            • blasphemy,
            • heretical and scandalizing statements,
            • an inability or rather, refusal to clarify any dogmatic Truth as well as
            • his approval of sinful situations, despite what the Church and Sacred Scripture teaches.

(From “ https://thewildvoice.org/pope-francis-bad-fruits/)

Of the Holy Spirit – ‘Pope Francis’ scandalously claims:

‘The Paraclete (the Holy Spirit) creates all the differences among the Churches, almost as if he were an Apostle of Babel.‘   (MARCH 15, 2013, VATICAN )

Of the Most Holy Trinity – ‘Pope Francis’ jokes:

Inside the Holy Trinity they’re all arguing behind closed doors, but on the outside they give the picture of unity.‘   (MARCH 25, 2017 – CRUX)

Of God the Father– ‘Pope Francis’ says:

God cannot be God without man… Let us also think of the Father, of our Father who cannot be without us, and who is watching us at this moment.‘     (JUNE 7, 2017 – ROME REPORTS/VIDEO)

Of the Blessed Virgin Mary – ‘Pope Francis’ says:

She was silent, but in her heart, how many things she told the Lord! ‘You, that day, this and the other that we read, you had told me that he would be great, you had told me that you would have given him the throne of David, his forefather, that he would have reigned forever and now I see him there!’ Our Lady was human! And perhaps she even had the desire to say: ‘Lies! I was deceived!‘ (DECEMBER 20, 2013 – VATICAN RADIO)

On Jesus Pope Francis said:

‘Pope Francis’ said that Jesus “had to beg forgiveness of his parents and that the Virgin Mary reproached Christ (when lost in the temple)

‘Pope Francis’ taught that the miracle of Jesus multiplying the bread and fish was really just a miracle of “sharing.

Other statements from this pope:

Lost souls do not go to Hell, saying “there is no punishment, but the annihilation of that soul. All the others will participate in the beatitude of living in the presence of the Father. The souls that are annihilated will not take part in that banquet; with the death of the body their journey is finished.

‘Pope Francis’ said that Mother Earth is the one who ‘gave us life and safeguards us‘.

‘Pope Francis’ approved of contraception in certain circumstances.

Francis issued a stamp featuring Luther and put out a document saying Catholics now recognize Martin Luther as a “witness to the Gospel”. The stamp features Luther and Philip Melanchthon,  – one of the founders of Lutheranism. In the image, Luther holds a Bible, and Melanchthon holds a copy of the Augsburg Confession, the primary confession of faith for the Lutheran church.

See: https://cruxnow.com/vatican/2017/11/26/vatican-issues-stamp-featuring-martin-luther-reformation-anniversary/

Pope  criticized large Catholic families, cautioning them against “breeding like rabbits” (Jan 19, 2015)

On Pentecost Sunday – June 8, 2014, he hosted Jewish prayers and Koran readings at the Vatican.

See our previous post at: https://remnantdisciplesjtm.com/category/prophecies-fulfilled/

Examples of these errors being formally taught:Amoris Laetitia: changes the practice of denying Holy Communion to those who are in ‘irregular unions‘ (divorced and remarried, etc.).

Footnote 351 (Amoris laetitia‘s) granted permission for unrepentant adulterers to commit sacrilege at Mass.

Footnote 329 rips the Second Vatican Council’s Gaudium et spes 51 (concerning temporary abstinence from marital relations) completely out of context in order to argue that “doing it for the children” might mitigate the mortal sin of adultery.

Other Errors:

      1. #AmorisLaetitia ¶3:  “Each country/region can seek solutions better suited to its culture/traditions/local needs”  [aka protestant style federation of (40000+) churches, no central church magisteriurm, relativism]
      2. #AmorisLaetitia ¶297: No one can be condemned for ever [ie, no one goes to hell]
      3. #AmorisLaetitia ¶301:It can no longer simply be said that all those in any irregular situations are living in a state of mortal sin. ” [ie adulterers (divorced/remarried), sodomites, fornicators are not in a state of mortal sin, sin does not exist, and the 6th commandment is washed away]
      4. #AmorisLaetitia footnote #351: “In certain cases this can include the help of the sacraments” [ie adulterers (divorced/remarried), sodomites, fornicators may receive holy communion
      • “The episcopates are maintaining a strange silence and are no longer reactingWhen my Pope speaks with courage and reaffirms with force the truths of the Catholic faith, he is no longer listened to and is even publicly criticized and derided. There is a subtle and diabolical tactic, woven in secrecy by Masonry, which is used today against the Holy Father in order to bring ridicule upon his person and his work and to neutralize his Magisterium.”

(“my Pope” refers to Pope St John Paul II, who was Pope at the time of Fr. Gobbi)

10. Pope Benedict XVI at His Inaugural Address (2013)

“Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves”.

11. Book of Truth

“My beloved Pope Benedict XVI is the last true pope on this Earth“. – (April 12th, 2012)

“They plan to replace the Holy Vicar, Pope Benedict XVI, with a dictator of lies. He will create a new church in league with the antichrist and his group, in order to deceive the world.”(January 18th, 2012)

“One half will believe, out of duty, the need to follow the false prophet, the pope who will follow Pope Benedict XVI.” –(April 10th, 2012)

“They, My daughter, are being sent to prepare God’s children to accept the next pope, who comes after My beloved Vicar, Pope Benedict. This pope may be elected by members within the Catholic Church, but he will be the false prophet. His electors are wolves in sheep’s clothing and are members of the secret Masonic and evil group- led by Satan. This is how Satan will try to destroy My Church. Sadly, he will, this false prophet, attract a large following. Those who oppose him will be persecuted.” -( April 12th, 2012)

“Be assured that it will be the Catholic Church, founded by Me and placed under the command of My beloved apostle, Peter, which will suffer the greatest in the end times.” – (April 12th, 2012)

The Book of Truth reveals aspects which were not revealed in 2000. These were, however, revealed by other saints – such as St Francis of Assisi and Bl. Catherine Emmerich.

Read the message of 26 Jan 2012:  The final secret of Fatima reveals the Truth of Satan’s evil sect entering the Vatican.”

and the message of  22 Jul 2013 Mother of Salvation: The last secret of Fatima was not revealed, so terrifying was it.”

You can also read both of these as quoted in our last post: “Stumbling Blocks: The Truth about the Third Secret of Fatima.”

In conclusion:

We see that the Third Secret says in part:

1) that the evil sect (Illuminati, Freemasons – Satanists) have entered the Vatican
2) that there will be 2 popes- “two men wearing the crown of Peter”.

Old news for the Remnant Army of Crusaders! I wonder what else does it say?

P.S. What about “My daughter Lucia was silenced by the powers, which control part of the Vatican,..” – This, lending a lot of credence to The “imposter Lucy” allegations.

JtM Crusade Prayer Meeting Thurs. 28 Feb. 2019

AM+DG

Prayer Theme:  Discipleship

Prayers are Groups A & E: (See https://remnantdisciplesjtm.com/crusade-prayer-group-format/ for details).

Comment: All of us at our prayer group meeting, when we read the Bible reading (randomly selected as always, after Crusade Prayer 51 – to the Holy Spirit,) we thought that it was about our dearly beloved Cardinal George Pell. The previous day, they had announced his guilty verdict – on which there had been a media ban here in Australia, for the last few months. Another post on this will be posted soon, but in the meantime, please pray for this most just man.

We did write a post back in 2017 about him when all this seemed to start. See June 30. 2017: https://remnantdisciplesjtm.com/category/prophecies-fulfilled/page/1/

Bible Reading

The Death of John the Baptist. 17 Herod was the one who had John arrested and bound in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, whom he had married. 18 John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.” 19 Herodias harbored a grudge against him and wanted to kill him but was unable to do so. 20 Herod feared John, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man, and kept him in custody. When he heard him speak he was very much perplexed, yet he liked to listen to him. 21 She had an opportunity one day when Herod, on his birthday, gave a banquet for his courtiers, his military officers, and the leading men of Galilee. 22 Herodias’s own daughter came in and performed a dance that delighted Herod and his guests. The king said to the girl, “Ask of me whatever you wish and I will grant it to you.” 23 He even swore [many things] to her, “I will grant you whatever you ask of me, even to half of my kingdom.” 24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?” She replied, “The head of John the Baptist.” 25 The girl hurried back to the king’s presence and made her request, “I want you to give me at once on a platter the head of John the Baptist.” 26 The king was deeply distressed, but because of his oaths and the guests he did not wish to break his word to her.  27 So he promptly dispatched an executioner with orders to bring back his head. He went off and beheaded him in the prison. 28 He brought in the head on a platter and gave it to the girl. The girl in turn gave it to her mother. 29 When his disciples heard about it, they came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.

Readings from the book of Truth

They intend to oust Pope Benedict XVI from the Seat of Peter using devious means

26 May 2012 @ 4:00pm

I am delighted to have you back with Me. It is important to keep close to Me now, My daughter. The time is short and you have much work to do.

Today I ask of My followers, My dearest daughter, to pray hard for My beloved Vicar Pope Benedict XVI . He, My Holy Servant is under terrible persecution behind closed doors in the Holy See.

I have told you before that the Masonic Groups who have a vice like grip inside The Vatican want My Beloved Pope out.

And they intend to oust him from the Seat of Peter using devious means.

He will, as I have told you in the past, have to flee for he will have little choice.

This time is short. You must pray hard that he can stay as long as possible for as soon as he leaves, the imposter, the False Prophet, will take his place.

How My tears flow for My Beloved Church on earth at this time. All those sacred servants of mine, who accept My Holy Word, as it is given to you at this time, hear Me now.

You must remain faithful to the Holy Massand uphold the daily Sacrifices. For very soon you will be forced to swallow a lie.

The daily Sacrifices, in honour of My Crucifixion and the change of the wine into My Blood and the Bread into My Body, will be changed, twisted and I will be vilified through new laws introduced by the False Prophet.

You must never accept anything that is not the Truth.
.
You must never accept heresy from within the walls of My Holy See. If you do then you will remove yourself from Me.

Many of you will have to offer the Holy Mass in secret and you will need all the courage you can get by praying to Me and asking Me to make you strong.

The changes will begin in the Holy Eucharist itself. You will soon be told that Holy Communion, My True Presence is, in fact, something else.

You will be told it means different things. But this is a terrible lie.

The Holy Eucharist is My Body and Blood given to you to allow Me to fill you with My Holy Spirit, to give you the nourishment that you need for your souls.

When the time comes and you, My Sacred Servants, are presented with the new modern interpretation then you will know that the contamination has already started.

This is when you will need to prepare. Gather together and defend the Truth of My Crucifixion. Do not accept the lies, the changes in the Holy Mass and the Holy Eucharist. For if you do then My Presence will be lost to all of God’s children.

Follow Me. This is the greatest challenge you will ever have to face but I will give you the Graces to discern the truth from the sacrilegious fiction you will be asked to accept in My Holy Name.

You must ask for My Help now through this Crusade Prayer (56). It is for Priests seeking Protection for the Holy Eucharist

O dear Father, in the name of your Precious Son,
Who sacrificed Himself on the Cross for the whole of mankind
Help me to stay true to the Truth
Cover me with the Precious Blood of Your Son and give me the
Graces to continue to serve You in faith, trust and honour for the rest of my ministry

Never let me stray from true meaning of the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass or the presentation of The Holy Eucharist to Your children. Give me the strength to represent You and feed Your flock the way
in which they must be fed with the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of
Your Son, Jesus Christ, The Saviour of Mankind.  Amen.

Please know that I walk with each of you, My Beloved Sacred Servants, every day.

I hold you up. Lean on Me and I will keep you close to My Sacred Heart in these times of terrible torment within the Catholic Church.

Your Beloved Jesus

Traitors of My Holy Word, sent through God’s prophets, will, I solemnly promise, result in the Wrath of My Father

My dearly beloved daughter, how it saddens Me to see so much division, which My Holy Word, given through these Messages, has caused.

When My Word, given to visionaries and genuine prophets, is made known to the world, it attracts immediate criticism. Why is this? It is because it is I, your Jesus, Whose Holy Word will always be questioned and criticized, before it is denounced as heresy by sinners.

Human reasoning, while important in the role of discernment, plays a very small part in recognising My Word.

The Love, which My Word sparks in a soul, which is empty of malice and which is pure and humble, will not nor can it be denied. It is through these souls that I grant the gift of being able to recognise Me. These souls, along with the prophet I chose to impart My Word, will have to accept My Cup of suffering.

I ask you to detach yourselves from the world’s attractions and consecrate yourselves to Me, for this is a very harsh and lonely path when you follow Me.

When challenged in My Name, or when the voices of My true prophets are ridiculed and declared not to be from God, I say this to you.

Do not dignify such attacks with a response of any kind. Remain silent in your suffering.

The Voice of God will Reign over the world now and let no one take you away from the Truth, which is very important, so that I can bring you poor helpless sinners into My Holy Arms to calm you.

I bring you Peace. Arguments, criticism and public displays of authority, by those who proclaim My Word on the one hand, and condemn others in My Name on the other, must not be accepted. This kind of behaviour is not from God. It comes from the spirit of evil.

Remember it is not My prophets you hurt. It is I you offend.

You are guilty of wasting time and detracting from the Work of the Holy Spirit. You will not be permitted to sacrifice the souls of those who you dare to mislead in My Name.

You, who sin against Me by preventing the Word of God from being heard in these times, will be cast away. My patience is weary. My worries intense. My pain excruciating. You are trying to deceive My followers, whose role in leading My remnant army is paramount. For this you will be punished.

I plead with you to ask Me to come to you so that I can give you solace, for make no mistake, you are troubled souls and your sins are known to Me.

Your arrogance is offending and insulting to My Father. Your willingness to sacrifice your own souls, because of your ambition to be seen as intelligent and authoritative spokespersons for Me, is disgusting in My Eyes.

Traitors of My Holy Word, sent through God’s prophets, will, I solemnly promise, result in the Wrath of My Father.Your punishment will be swift. Your time is limited. You have but a short time in which to choose which master you really serve.

The Crowning of Thorns during My Crucifixion is symbolic

November 13, 2012 @ 5:00pm

My dearly beloved daughter, the crowning of thorns during My Crucifixion is symbolic for the end times.

Just as the Church is My Body on earth, so it too will be crowned with the thorns of scourging as it was during My journey to Calvary. The Crown of Thorns signifies the Head of My Holy Church on earth. Pope Benedict will suffer much as he will be persecuted for speaking the Truth.

He will be crushed, as Head of My Church, and no mercy will be shown to him. The opposition will mount quickly as he will be declared no longer relevant.

Those who will claim to be more modern in their approach to apostolic ways will swipe at him and ridicule his words. Then the Head of My Church will be replaced by the Head of the Serpent.

The scourging I endured during My Crucifixion will now be reenacted in My Catholic Church. The serpent moves quickly now, as he will try to devour My Body – My Church on earth. Then all Christian Churches will be swallowed up and forced to honour the false prophet as the right hand of the beast.

While many of you may be fearful remember your prayers are delaying these things, and in many instances are mitigating such circumstances.

Prayers, and enough of them, will delay and weaken the work of the evil one on earth.

It is the antidote to the persecution planned by the evil group who are ruled by Satan. With conversion and your prayers, My disciples, much can be overthrown. Prayer can destroy this wickedness. Prayer can and will convert mankind. Then if enough souls follow Me, all will be easy. Then the transition into My New Paradise will be easier.

OUR LADY of FATIMA and the Russian Connection

A+M+D+G

PART 3 of the series of Fatima Centenary talks in 2017

A Day With Our Lady of Fatima, Saturday 19 August 2017OUR LADY of FATIMA and the Russian Connection

Exactly one hundred years ago today, three young shepherds in Portugal were tending their flocks in a place called Valinhos. It was a Sunday evening in 1917 and the children had just emerged from a traumatic three days in prison. Without warning there came a flash of light and the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to them.

For Lucy and her two cousins Jacinta and Francisco this was an unexpected visit. They had missed their August rendezvous with Our Lady. As in the previous months of May June and July it was designated for the 13th day of the month.

Word had spread like wildfire across Europe. Thousands of pilgrims had flooded into Portugal for the intended August 13th apparition. But the Masons who governed the country were determined to put a stop the religious hysteria. On the very day the apparition was due to occur, the Administrator of the local council had abducted the three little shepherds. He imprisoned them, subjected them to exhausting interrogations and even threatened to throw them into a cauldron of boiling oil – all in an attempt to make them admit they were lying and had invented stories. Paradoxically, he also wanted them to reveal the secrets that the Blessed Virgin had given to them in July!

Response of the children to imprisonment and death threats:

Despite their treatment these young children, aged between eight and eleven, resisted the bullying. They clung to the truth; refused to disclose the secrets confided by Heaven. For 72 hours they resisted, to heroic degrees, fortified I’m sure by their experiences with the Blessed Mother. When their lives were threatened, according to the memoirs of Sister Lucy, little Jacinta’s face lit up with joy. “How wonderful!” she cried, “I so love Our Lord and Our Lady and this way we’ll be seeing them very soon!”

This was the response of a nine year old girl to death threats. This tells us how real, how totally absorbing, how profound had been the effect of the Heavenly Mother’s visits over the past few months.

During her appearance on that Sunday evening of August 19th, Our Lady had looked very sad. She encouraged once again the daily praying the Rosary every day, and reaffirmed the ongoing visits on the 13th of each month. Her final words were: “Pray! Pray very much, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because they have no-one to sacrifice themselves and to pray for them.”

Pope Benedict – Fatima is not over:

Often, when speaking of Fatima, there can be one of three responses from those who are not convinced of the importance or authenticity of the 1917 revelations. They will shrug and quickly brush it aside: “Oh yes, it’s a nice little story, prayer and penance and the rosary. Of course, it happened back in history before our scientifically advanced age.”  There’s a tendency, even among Vatican officials, to consign Fatima to the past.

Thankfully Pope Benedict refuted all these dismissive comments when he was at Fatima on May 13th 2010. Whoever thinks the prophetic mission of Fatima is over,” he said, “is deceived!” He spoke of the increasing relevance of the Fatima message for our times, and the approaching Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

Fatima – only private revelation?

The second response to Fatima is another pet phrase: “it is just private revelation”.

Here I will quote well-known Fatima author, lecturer and crusader, Christopher Ferrara: “No,” he writes, “the Fatima event is no mere private revelation. It is a public, prophetic revelation. First of all, the Catholic Church has officially declared, through the local bishop of Fatima and a series of popes, that these apparitions constitute an authentic supernatural event and that the message of Fatima is worthy of belief (….) As well as the accuracy of the prophecies and the testimony of a series of great popes, a MIRACLE was foretold three months in advance (….)

Miracle foretold in advance:

Our Lady promised she would obtain this miracle at precisely the date and time predicted – twelve noon, solar time, October 13th – so that “ALL would see and believe”. In the entire history of the Church, or indeed of the world, the Miracle of the Sun is the only miracle announced in advance, which a vast crowd had assembled to witness.

You can read the full text of Christopher Ferrara’s comments for yourself in this new booklet just released by the Fatima Centre. There are copies here for you to take home.

Is Fatima alarmist?

The third reaction to Fatima, especially when the prophetic element is highlighted, is that promoters of the message are being “alarmist”. But we need to be alarmed, don’t we?

We need to be awoken from our Kiwi complacency. The innocent children of Fatima were alarmed. The vision of multitudes of people falling into hell, alarmed them greatly. It also spurred them into action, to greater prayer and sacrifice for sinners. Little Saint Francisco’s mission became one of consoling God who is saddened by the loss of souls.

Spiritual weapons – prayer and sacrifice – more relevant today:

Could it be that the spiritual weaponry of prayer and sacrifice, which Our Lady of Fatima begged for, is more necessary now than back in 1917? The brutality of the First World War pales beside the suffering, the atrocities and military arsenal we see in Syria and more and more places today – along with the escalating development of nuclear missiles being readied for use. Of course, this is not to diminish the horror of World War One but simply to put it in perspective with the technological proficiency of 21st century warfare. In her last public interview of 1957, Sister Lucy told Father Augustin Fuentes, that Russia was to be the “instrument of chastisement” chosen by God to punish the world for its sins. “Tell them, Father,” she said, “that the Most Holy Virgin told my cousins Francisco and Jacinta, as well as myself, that many nations will disappear from the face of the earth.”

Could it be that our future security, in a world so currently insecure, may hinge upon re-reading the simple requests of Fatima and following them faithfully?

Our Lady’s conditions for peace:

These requests are MORE than simply praying the Rosary every day. The conditions Our Lady outlined for obtaining peace were first and fore-mostly for people to turn back to God. That’s the call of the Gospel – for genuine, honest repentance and conversion of heart.

And to repeat her words at Fatima on August 19th, Many souls go to hell because they have no-one to sacrifice themselves and pray for them.” Do we imagine this situation has improved since then? Sadly, a century later, the word “sacrifice” is slowly vanishing from our everyday Catholic vocabulary, its meaning almost lost.

Apart from making sacrifices, probably the best definition of “offering sacrifices” is this: “To accept with a loving heart the disagreeable things which God’s Providence has allowed in our day…”

So, Our Lady asks for sacrifice and prayer to save many souls from eternal damnation. Prayer of reparation for the sins of the world is another vital element of Fatima’s message; and the devoted practice of the Five First  Saturdays of Communion to make repair for the five insults against Mary’s Immaculate Heart. And yes, the daily rosary, investment in the Brown Scapular… these are essentials of whole-hearted devotion to the Immaculate Heart.

Cardinal calls for Consecration of Russia:

Cardinal Raymond Burke made the news recently, calling for a renewal of the consecration of Russia to Mary’s Immaculate Heart. Not consecration of the world this time, but Russia alone, specifically named. Up until now this actual naming has been prevented by political sensitivity and an agreement between Rome and Moscow during the Second Vatican Council.

Russia’s Errors:

But why Russia? That’s a question often posed. I mean, Russia is just another nation, isn’t it?  – no worse than any other, surely?

“Russia’s errors” which Our Lady spoke about are much MORE than just the spread of Communism. Communism is, after all, simply a political force, an imposed systematic atheism. But this is the end product of a whole distorted mode of thinking.

The errors which fuelled Communism and emerged in Russia from 1917 were, primarily, caused by rejection of God and His existence. This opened the way to absolute materialism. While materialism is commonly believed to be a love of material goods, that’s only one aspect. Materialism is a denial of the supernatural and spiritual realm with sole focus on the physical world. Once God’s Word and God’s Laws are abandoned we see greater errors spawned: the substitution of Divine Creation with Darwin’s theory of evolution – a theory now taught as absolute fact – the upsurge of divorce, abortion, dismantling of the family unit – which is the basic cell of social order – the denigration and objectivising of women, motherhood and home secondary to the work-force, manipulated by economic pressure and feminist ideology.

Abortion was legalized in Russia in the 1920s. It took another fifty years for this and other errors to be absorbed into western culture.

By the 1970s divorce and abortion had gained legal status. Next: legalized prostitution, same-sex marriage, the current gender ideology and so on. Now we are facing the normalizing and acceptance of euthanasia, one of the very facets of the Nazi culture which the West once fought a war against!

Probably the two main pillars of false teaching which have infected human thinking like a cancer this last century, arose earlier in the 19th century: Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto in 1848, a blueprint for a global utopian society, dispensing with God and Kings, and in 1859 Charles Darwin’s Origin of the Species. Only weeks after Fatima’s Miracle of the Sun, the fruits of these false teachings became evident in the Bolshevik revolution which plunged Holy Mother Russia into a bloodbath.

Lenin and Stalin:

Two of the cruelest dictators of the new regime had both lost their faith after embracing Darwin’s pseudo-scientific doctrine of evolution. Vladimir Lenin had been a devout believer. His successor, Joseph Stalin, a brilliant seminarian, stopped studying for the priesthood, and in the name of evolutionary progress and a Marxist utopia, he and Lenin purged the Soviet Union of an estimated sixty million of their own countrymen.

When Russia eventually exported its manifesto to China so Communism could govern one third of the earth’s surface, it was not the teachings of Marx, Lenin or Mao Tse Tong which were preached in compulsory seminars but evolution – simply because it could be used to remove people’s faith in God, in the soul, and in the after-life, so Communism could then take root.

Disinformation- Russia’s devious propaganda tool:

In 2013 a hugely insightful and vastly-documented book was published unmasking the inner workings of the Kremlin. The title of the book is Disinformation, the name given to Russia’s devious propaganda tool, and the co-author is an ex-Soviet spy who defected to America in the late 1970s with a multi-million-dollar bounty on his head. Lieutenant General Ion Pacepa was the right-hand man of Ceausescu (Chow-oo-shes-cu), the Romanian tyrant who was toppled in 1988. Ion Pacepa’s first book, The Red Horizon, was instrumental in bringing this dictatorship to an end.

During his career as an intelligence man for Romania and the Soviet empire, Ion Pacepa was involved in KGB strategies, primarily aimed at destroying the public’s perception of the Church and its credibility. Right from Day One, Russian communism has fundamentally been an all-out effort to rid the world of Christianity, mistakenly seen as an offshoot of Capitalism. Its attack has taken three forms: (1) to discredit the Church (2) to undermine the faith of its people, (3) to distort and dilute doctrine. One of its most brilliant concepts, says Ion Pacepa, was something called Liberation Theology.

Liberation Theology was concocted by the KGB to make Marxism appear to be compatible with Christianity. It was fed into the World Council of Churches; then disseminated in South America, which Russia saw as fertile soil for revolution. Ex-Jesuit Malachi Martin tells us in his monumental expose, The Jesuits, that many in this order poisoned South American Catholics with this teaching. As a result thousands of priests and lay people were killed NOT as martyrs for the Gospel but as socialist revolutionaries, pawns in the fight to overthrow Capitalism and establish Communist rule.

Both Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI sternly denounced Liberation Theology. Meanwhile Columbia, Bolivia, Venezeula, Nicaragua, Argentina, all expelled the US from their embassies and rely nowadays upon Russian naval defense. Didn’t Our Lady foretell that Russia would foment wars and revolution?

Ion Pacepa reveals in Disinformation that he rubbed shoulders not only with Kruschev, his supreme boss, commonly known as “the butcher of the Ukraine”, but also Mikhail Gorbachev. He makes clear that Glasnost and Peretroika of the late 1980s was a clever disinformation programme to convince the West they could relax because the Soviet Union had transformed into a modern democracy, no longer a totalitarian state. In fact, the Russian word “glasnost” actually means “polishing one’s image”.  Today, under the reign of Vladimir Putin, Marxist power continues to flourish. Putin, a self-styled Stalinist who reveres his cruel predecessor, has filled his government with six thousand ex-KGB men like himself and crushes and eliminates any opposition.

Make no mistake, Ion Pacepa assures us, Communism is still alive and well in Russia and seeking world domination together with China.

Our Blessed Mother in recent reliable apparitions and messages has said the same. Communism is everywhere, She says, even in My Son’s Church, and you do not recognize it. We need to pray for discernment.

So did the story of Fatima conclude in 1917? Or with the last major apparition of 1929 when Russia’s consecration was requested? Did it conclude in 1938 when the Great Sign predicted at Fatima took place? On the evening of January 25th that year the sky was illuminated by the most spectacular and unearthly colours. All of Europe was in panic. Many believed the lights heralded apocalyptic events, even the end of the world. Scientists smiled and labeled the event as an Aurora Beouralis. Much later they admitted it wasn’t the case, the lights were of an unknown source. Sister Lucy from her convent in Coimbra confirmed that this was the prophesied sign that a second and more terrible war was about to begin. Six weeks later Hitler marched into Austria.

Hiroshima Miracle:

In 1945 the message of Fatima was connected to an extraordinary miracle. When the atomic bomb fell on Hiroshima it obliterated everything for several kilometres – except for one church. It was right near the blinding centre of the nuclear flash, ground zero. Inside were eight members of a small Jesuit community performing their usual daily Fatima devotions and praying the Rosary. Unbelievably, all of them survived, untouched by radiation. Scientists have never been able to offer any explanation. At Nagasaki there was a similar miracle. The Franciscan Friary established by St Maximilian Kolbe was also totally unharmed.

The Fatima effect continues:

After the Second World War, Austria became subject to Soviet tyranny when the allies left. A Rosary Crusade was organized by a Father Petrus who won the support of seven hundred thousand Austrians pledging a daily rosary. On May 13th 1955, the anniversary of Fatima, the occupying Russians withdrew. With Austria a strategically-located war prize, the Russians’ evacuation made no sense. To this day historians are baffled by the pull-out.

Fatima secret not disclosed – new apparitions of Our Lady:

Moving along to 1960: when  the sealed secret of Fatima was opened as Our Blessed Mother instructed, and the contents not disclosed, within 12 months She began appearing further north on the Iberian Peninsula. From 1961 to 65, an unprecedented number of apparitions and supernatural events unfolded in a tiny remote Spanish village called Garabandal. Appearing as Our lady of Mt Carmel as she had in the final Fatima vision of 1917, Immaculate Mary warned of a decline in faith and less importance being given to the Blessed sacrament. Garabandal remains under Church investigation but it is extremely interesting that Our Lady expressed there great concern for the priesthood, and repeatedly stressed the holy and sacred character of matrimony. These two areas, priests and marriage, have been the target of the enemy since 1965.

In 1973 in a little lay convent in Akita, Japan, Sister Agnes Sasagawa was visited by the Mother of God in a series of mystical events culminating with an intensive message of warning on October 13th, anniversary of Fatima’s miracle of the sun. The diocesan bishop recognized the authenticity of these interventions and Pope Benedict, as Cardinal Ratzinger, confirmed that the message of Akita was “essentially the same message as Fatima” and the then-unknown Third Secret which he had sighted.

A year earlier, 1972, at the actual apparition site of Fatima, an Italian priest, Father Stefano Gobi received the first of his locutions which would lead to the establishment of a worldwide Movement of Marian Priests, a work which Our Lady herself initiated. More than 600 messages followed, heralding an apocalyptic time and the Church’s greatest trial. These locutions ended in 1997 and Fr Gobi passed to his eternal reward in 2004.

Another Fatima anniversary, 13th May 1981, the Holy Father St John Paul Two, was hospitalized after a near assassination attempt. As he was carried from St Peter’s Square, the pope was heard calling to the Madonna to come to his aid. Less than six weeks later she began appearing just across the Adriatic Sea in a small village deep in the heart of the Communist stronghold of Yugoslavia: Medjugorje. An explosion of the Spirit was sparked, which led to millions of pilgrims from all parts of the world experiencing miraculous healings, conversions, and signs and wonders, including the sun spinning in the sky.

St John Paul Two said Medjugorje was the heart of the spiritual world; several weeks ago the Church finally gave its approval to the initial events at Medjugorje; and Sister Lucy who was privileged with private visions of Our Lady up until her death in 2005, stated categorically that Medjugorje, where Mary appears as the Queen of Peace, is the continuation and the completion of Fatima. 36 years later, to this very day, Medjugorje still radiates an atmosphere of heaven come to earth.

So yes, the Fatima revelations continue, prophecies being fulfilled right under our very noses. “Pray very much,” Our Lady said to Sister Agnes at Akita, “I alone am able still to save you from the calamities that approach. Those who place their confidence in Me will be saved.”

And at Fatima, “In the end My Immaculate Heart WILL triumph!”

Sister Lucy reported in her memoirs that Saint Jacinta once told her:

“Do not be afraid to tell everyone about devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. God has entrusted the peace of the world to her.”
