God gave us the prophets for the tough times to come.
I have always wondered why Catholics don’t look at the prophecies of Our Lady and other saints whom God has sent to warn us against danger – just as He always did in the Old Testament through His prophets? We are generally ignorant of prophecies: I am in my late sixties – I remember being taught about Fatima, but never have I been taught about other saints or other apparitions of Our Lady. Through the years I seem to have been drawn to seeking them out. I remember when Garabandal happened. It was all over the news for a few months, then suddenly disappeared. My children are now in their forties and even though they went to Catholic schools, they were never taught about prophecies. Prophecies are never mentioned by priests, except these days, if you have a good traditionally-minded priest, he might mention Fatima, or as recently happened, Akita. Most priests are too afraid to read prophecy in case they are misled. What are they afraid of? Do they not pray for discernment? Are they not well-trained in the reading and understanding of the Church and its Teachings? Prophecies are a special gift from God to His children in need.
So when I sp
eak to people who don’t understand what is going on, and who can’t bear to think that Francis is not a good pope – I tell them of the age-old prophecies from approved apparitions of Our Lady, and of course, the Saints! Who would doubt Our Lady and the Saints? I put a little booklet together (with a little more detail than in this article) and hand them out – with instant results. Those who truly love their Faith accept these prophecies and then their whole way of thinking is transformed.
A brief selection of Prophecies from Our Lady and the Saints follows – in date order
Saint Francis of Assisi (1226 A.D.)
St Francis was a visionary (saw Jesus Christ), had the stigmata and shortly before his death in October 3, 1226, he called his followers and left them his prediction of the coming of a Destroyer who is a pope and a great schism in the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
” 2. The devils will have unusual power, the immaculate purity of our Order, and of others, will be so much obscured that there will be very few Christians who will obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with loyal hearts and perfect charity. At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavour to draw many into error and death.
“7. Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer.”

Mother Mariana De Jesus Torres (17th Century) – Our Lady of Good Success, Quito, Ecuador
“As for the Sacrament of Matrimony, which symbolizes the union of Christ with His Church, it will be attacked and deeply profaned. Freemasonry, which will then be in power, will enact iniquitous laws with the aim of doing away with this Sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin and encouraging the procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church. The Catholic spirit will rapidly decay; the precious light of Faith will gradually be extinguished until there will be an almost total and general corruption of customs. Added to this will be the effects of secular education, which will be one reason for the dearth of priestly and religious vocations.”
(This is perfectly clear as we watched the Synods of 2014 and 2015, culminating in the catastrophe called Amoris Laetitia. And, according to modernist Cardinal Kasper, is only the beginning! Freemasonry is clearly in power, and at the summit of the Church, not to mention well entrenched in the Vatican.)
“This apparent triumph of Satan will bring enormous sufferings to the good Pastors of the Church, the many good priests, and the Supreme Pastor and Vicar of Christ on Earth, who, a prisoner in the Vatican, will shed secret and bitter tears in the presence of his God and Lord, beseeching light, sanctity, and perfection for all the clergy of the world, of whom he is King and Father.”
“The sacred sacrament of Holy Orders will be ridiculed, oppressed and despised, for in doing this, one scorns and defiles the Church of God, and even God Himself, represented by His priests. The Demon will try to persecute the Ministers of the Lord in every possible way.”
“During this unfortunate epoch, injustice will even enter here [into the Church], my closed garden. Disguised under the name of false charity, it will wreak havoc in souls. The spiteful demon will try to sow discord, making use of putrid members, who, masked by the appearance of virtue, will be like decaying sepulchers emanating the pestilence of putrefaction, causing moral deaths in some and lukewarmness in others. … How the Church will suffer on that occasion the dark night of the lack of a Prelate and Father to watch over them with paternal love, gentleness, strength, and prudence!

“I saw also the relationship between the two popes. . .
I saw how baleful (harmful) would be the consequences of this false church. I saw it increase in size; heretics of every kind came into the city (of Rome). The local clergy grew lukewarm, and I saw a great darkness…”
“Once more I saw that the Church of Peter was undermined by a plan evolved by the secret sect, while storms were damaging it. But I saw also that help was coming when distress had reached its peak. I saw again the Blessed Virgin ascend on the Church and spread her mantle [over it].”
July, 1820
“I saw the Holy Father surrounded by traitors and in great distress about the Church. He had visions and apparitions in his hour of greatest need. I saw many good pious Bishops; but they were weak and wavering, their cowardice often got the upper hand…Then I saw darkness spreading around and people no longer seeking the true Church.”
August 10, 1820
“I see the Holy Father in great anguish. He lives in a palace other than before and he admits only a limited number of friends near him. I fear that the Holy Father will suffer many more trials before he dies. I see that the false Church of darkness is making progress and I see the dreadful influence it has on the people. The Holy Father and the Church are verily in so great a distress that one must implore God night and day…”
“I have been told to pray much for the Church and the Pope…The people must pray earnestly for the extirpation (rooting out) of the dark church.”
“Last night I was taken to Rome where the Holy Father immersed in his sorrow, is still hiding to elude dangerous demands (made upon him). He is still very weak, and exhausted by sorrows, cares and prayers. He can now trust but few people. That is mainly why he is hiding. But he still has with him an aged priest who has much simplicity and godliness. He is his friend and because of his simplicity they did not think it would be worth removing him. But this man receives many graces from God. He sees and notices a great many things which he faithfully reports to the Holy Father. It was required of me to inform him while he was praying, of the traitors and evil doers who were to be found among the high ranking servants living close to him, so that he might be made aware of it.”
October 1, 1820
“The Church is in great danger. We must pray so that the Pope may not leave Rome; countless evils would result if he did. They are now demanding something from him. The Protestant doctrine and that of the schismatic Greeks are to spread everywhere. I now see that in this place (Rome) the (Catholic) Church is being so cleverly undermined, that there hardly remain a hundred or so priests who have not been deceived. They all work for destruction, even the clergy. A great devastation is now near at hand.”
“In those days Faith will fall very low and it will be preserved in some places only.”
“The Little Black Man in Rome, whom I see so often, has many working for him without their clearly knowing for what end. He has his agents in the New Black Church also. If the Pope leaves Rome, the enemies of the Church will get the upper hand. …”
(N.b. The Jesuits wear black. The head of the Jesuits is referred to as the ”black pope”. Pope Francis is a Jesuit).
“I saw many pastors cherishing dangerous ideas against the Church. . . . I saw among other things. . . the Church under N___________. In all the rooms lay his children (that is, his plans), a full collection of his views. . . . He had set fire to the house, and I with others had to save the goods and convey them to the sheepfold. They built a large, singular, extravagant church which was “to embrace all creeds with equal rights; Evangelicals, Catholics and all denominations, a true communion of the unholy with one shepherd and one flock.….”

‘Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the antichrist.’
‘The Church will be eclipsed, the world will be in consternation..” [Abbé Combe, the editor of the 1904 edition, adds the following note after this paragraph. ‘I have from Melanie that the Church will be eclipsed in this sense, that 1) one will not know which is the true pope; 2) for a time: the holy Sacrifice will cease to be offered in churches, and also in houses: so there will be no more public worship. But she saw that yet the holy Sacrifice would not cease: it would be offered in caves, in tunnels, in barns and in alcoves.’]
“In this time the anti-Christ…will perform false miracles and subsist only on vitiating (i.e. contaminating) faith”
“There will be a series of wars until the last war which will then be fought by the kings of the anti-Christ, all of whom will have one and the same plan and will be the only rulers of the world...All civil governments will have one and the same plan: abolish and do away with every religious principal to make way for materialism, atheism, spiritualism and vice of all kinds”.
“The Holy Father will suffer a great deal because for a while the Church will yield to large persecution, a time of darkness and the Church will witness a frightful crisis”
“Several religious institutions will lose all faith and will lose many souls…A great number of priests and members of religious orders will break away from the true religion. Among these people, there will even be bishops”
“Italy will be punished for her ambition in wanting to shake off the yoke of the Lord of lords”
Pope Leo XIII 1886
“These most crafty enemies [the devils] have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on Her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered.”
Pope Pius X (1909)
Here is the prophecy of Pope Pius X, where he states that the “forced to flee” pope-martyr (also described by Sister Lucia of Fatima as the pope in white who will be killed) will have his name… Giuseppe = Joseph. This could only be Joseph Ratzinger, Benedict XVI:
” In 1909, during an audience for the general chapter of the Franciscan Order, Pope Pius X suddenly fell into a trance. The audience waited in reverent silence. When he awoke, the Pope cried out:
“What I see is terrifying! Will it be myself? Will it be my successor? What is certain is that the Pope will quit Rome, and in leaving the Vatican he will have to walk over the dead bodies of his priests. [This was precisely the vision sister Lucia received of the martyr pope dressed in white!] “Do not tell anyone this while I am alive.”
Just prior to his death (August 20, 1914), Pope Pius X had another vision:
“I have seen one of my successors, of the same name, who was fleeing over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place; but after a brief respite he will die a cruel death.

“In the Third Secret [of Fatima] it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top.” —Mario L. Ciappi, Cardinal and household theologian to John Paul II; quoted in The Devil’s Final Battle, p. 33
“Satan rules even in the highest positions and determines the direction of things. He will succeed in worming his way even into the highest summits of the Church…”
“But this will be a time of great trials for the Church. Cardinals will oppose cardinals. Bishops will oppose bishops. Satan will walk in their ranks. In Rome, there will be great changes. What is rotten will fall and what will fall will never rise again. Darkness will envelope the Church and the world will be thrown into a panic.”
The quote given above is taken from a German periodical published in 1963, Neues Europa, and received unofficial approbation in the 1960’s by several Church officials who had read the original 3rd Secret text hand written by Sister Lucia. At an interview of (Jesuit) Fr Malachi Martin in 1998, who was present at the reading of the Third Secret in 1960 by Pope John XXIII, Art Bell asked him if the statement that “The last pope will be under the control of satan” is true and really part of the Third Secret,– he replies “Yes. The world will be afflicted with wars, famine, the martyrdom of the good, persecution of the Church and the Holy Father, the annihilation of nations, and apostasy from the one true Faith.

“The mystical body on earth today will have its Judas Iscariot and he will be the false prophet. Satan will recruit him from among our bishops.”
“We are living in the days of the Apocalypse–the last days of our era…. The two great forces of the Mystical Body of Christ and the Mystical Body of Antichrist are beginning to draw up the battle lines for the catastrophic contest.” (Flynn T & L. The Thunder of Justice. He also said:
“The False Prophet will have a religion without a cross. A religion without a world to come. A religion to destroy religions. There will be a counterfeit church. Christ’s Church [the Catholic Church] will be one. And the False Prophet will create the other. The false church will be worldly, ecumenical, and global. It will be a loose federation of churches. And religions forming some type of global association. A world parliament of churches. It will be emptied of all divine content and will be the mystical body of the Antichrist.

“I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima. This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a Divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul. … I hear all around me innovators who wish to dismantle the Sacred Chapel, destroy the universal flame of the true Faith of the Church, reject Her ornaments and make Her feel remorse for Her historical past.”
“A day will come when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church will doubt as Peter doubted. She will be tempted to believe that man has become God. In our churches, Christians will search in vain for the red lamp where God awaits them. Like Mary Magdalene, weeping before the empty tomb, they will ask, ‘Where have they taken Him?’
Our Lady of Akita: 1973
The third message on October 13, 1973, (the actual anniversary of the final visions and miracle of Fatima) is as follows:
.. . Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.
“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres. The Church and altars will be vandalized. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord”.
“The demon will rage especially against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them.”

“This masonic infiltration, in the interior of the Church, was already foretold to you by Me at Fatima, when I announced to you that Satan would enter in even to the summit of the Church.”
Message #485, December 31, 1992
“I have announced to you many times that the end of the times and the coming of Jesus in glory is very near. Now, I want to help you understand the signs described in the Holy Scriptures, which indicate that his glorious return is now close.”
The first sign is the spread of errors, which lead to the loss of faith and to apostasy. These errors are being propagated by false teachers, by renowned theologians who are no longer teaching the truths of the gospel, but pernicious heresies based on errors and on human reasoning. It is because of the teaching of these errors that the true faith is being lost and that the great apostasy is spreading everywhere.”

“…Even now, that which I predicted at Fatima and that which I have revealed here in the third message confided to a little daughter of mine is in the process of being accomplished. And so, even for the Church the moment of its great trial has come, because the man of iniquity will establish himself within it and the abomination of desolation will enter into the holy temple of God.”
“First of all, a great apostasy is spreading in every part of the Church, through the lack of faith which is flooding even among its very pastors. Satan has succeeded in spreading everywhere the great apostasy, by means of his subtle work of seduction, which has brought many to be alienated from the truth of the Gospel to follow the fables of the new theological theories and to take delight in evil and in sin, sought after as an actual good”
“This great apostasy is spreading more and more, even through the interior of the Catholic Church. Errors are being taught and spread about, while the fundamental truths of the faith, which the authentic Magisterium of the Church has always taught and energetically defended against any heretical deviation whatsoever, are being denied with impunity.

This is just a taste. I have not included prophecies about the Warning (Illumination of Consciences) and the 3 days of darkness for the sake of brevity. I have also omitted saints such as St Bridget of Sweden (1300’s), St Nicholas of Flue (15th century), St Nilos-Gusher of Mount Athos (1600’s), St John Bosco, Pope Pius IX (1909), St Faustina, St Padre Pio, and many others. God never abandons us. He has been warning us against these days since Jesus walked this earth. But we ignore all the signs and all the prophets He has sent us – even His own Mother. The messages are to prepare us. Any trial is easier when we are prepared. These messages tell us what to expect and how to fight it. They give us Hope and keep us from despair.
