God is my Search Engine and His Answer is Swift!

After my evening prayers, on Thursday 14th April, I opened my Bible on Jeremiah 42: Flight into ‘Egypt’.

I did not understand what this passage might mean for me or us, and I instantly but unaffectedly asked The Lord, in my heart, “Who is Egypt?” There was such a clear, stern warning in this passage, but I couldn’t interpret it. Unexpectedly, an answer came instantly into my mind: “The One World Church”. It was not my thought. It came out of nowhere- quicker than lightning! Hence this interpretation and warning for those who profess to be believers and are asking for God’s help and guidance in these difficult times; are you listening to His answers? If you go into the One World Church (as represented by Egypt) and refuse to listen to God’s Word of prophecy, (when the church begins to fall into ruin) you will die by famine, plague and sword (possibly in the Chastisement?). Do not desert the small remnant. The Lord Himself will increase you in number and feed you- against all odds. All of this is there in this warning; read the passage below with open eyes.

Jeremiah 42

42 Then all the captains of the warriors, and Johanan the son of Caree, and Jezonias the son of Osaias, and the rest of the people from the least to the greatest came near:
2 And they said to Jeremias the prophet: Let our supplication fall before thee: and pray thou for us to the Lord thy God for all this remnant, for we are left but a few of many, as thy eyes do behold us.
3 And let the Lord thy God shew us the way by which we may walk, and the thing that we must do.

4 And Jeremias the prophet said to them: I have heard you: behold I will pray to the Lord your God according to your words: and whatsoever thing he shall answer me, I will declare it to you: and I will hide nothing from you.

5 And they said to Jeremias: The Lord be witness between us of truth and faithfulness, if we do not according to every thing for which the Lord thy God shall send thee to us.
6 Whether it be good or evil, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God, to whom me send thee: that it may be well with us when we shall hearken to the voice of the Lord our God.

7 Now after ten days, the word of the Lord came to Jeremias.
8 And he called Johanan the son of Caree, and all the captains of the fighting men that were with him, and all the people from the least to the greatest.
9 And he said to them: Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel, to whom you sent me, to present your supplications before him:
10 If you will be quiet and remain in this land, I will build you up, and not pull you down: I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for now I am appeased for the evil that I have done to you.
11 Fear not because of the king of Babylon, of whom you are greatly afraid: fear him not, saith the Lord: for I am with you, to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
12 And I will shew mercies to you, and will take pity on you, and will cause you to dwell in your own land.

13 But if you say: We will not dwell in this land, neither will we hearken to the voice of the Lord our God,
14 Saying: No, but we will go into the land of Egypt: where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor suffer hunger: and there we will dwell.
15 For this now hear the word of the Lord, ye remnant of Juda: Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: If you set your faces to go into Egypt, and enter in to dwell there:
16 The sword which you fear, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt: and the famine, whereof you are afraid, shall cleave to you in Egypt, and there you shall die.
17 And all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt, to dwell there, shall die by the sword, and by famine, and by pestilence: none of them shall remain, nor escape from the face of the evil that I will bring upon them.
18 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: As my anger and my indignation hath been kindled against the inhabitants of Jerusalem: so shall my indignation be kindled against you, when you shall enter into Egypt, and you shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach: and you shall see this place no more.
19 This is the word of the Lord concerning you, O ye remnant of Juda: Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have adjured you this day.
20 For you have deceived your own souls: for you sent me to the Lord our God, saying: Pray for us to the Lord our God, and according to all that the Lord our God shall say to thee, so declare unto us, and we will do it.
21 And now I have declared it to you this day, and you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord your God, with regard to all the things for which he hath sent me to you.
22 Now therefore know certainly that you shall die by the sword, and by famine, and by pestilence in the place to which you desire to go to dwell there.

Thank you God for warning us against ‘Egypt’. Grant us the courage instead to follow and listen to Your Plan for us in the times ahead. Amen.

God is my Search Engine; not Google. Part 3

On Saturday April 2nd, a combination of groups voluntarily gathered together in a large regional serious prayer meeting for some hours . As a Catholic, it is not hard to spend a long time in prayer; in communion with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as we have a rich tradition of prayer from which to draw. The mood was sombre, for we spend Holy Week reflecting on Christ’s Passion and Death which assists us to recall and confess our sins with deep and true contrition, better appreciating the gift of Salvation wrought for us on Good Friday on the Cross. We love Jesus, we rejoice in His Victory and His Rising and we feel immense gratitude for this Gift, especially in view of our unworthiness. Our aim, on this first Saturday after Easter, which fell the day before Divine Mercy Sunday, was to pray for the many different groups of souls, that they may receive of His Salvation too, in these difficult times and before it’s too late. With the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia less than a week away, our other immediate concern was that all Christians would see and uphold The Truth of God’s Word, despite the errors which would likely be spread through this modernist assault, disguised as ‘mercy’. We felt, and fear, the ominous rumble of God’s Wrath.

That evening, after our prayer meeting, I opened on:

Wisdom 18: 14-25 (Douay Rheims Bible)

[14] For while all things were in quiet silence, and the night was in the midst of her course, [15] Thy Almighty Word leapt down from heaven from thy royal throne, as a fierce conqueror into the midst of the land of destruction.

[16] With a sharp sword carrying thy unfeigned commandment, and he stood and filled all things with death, and standing on the earth reached even to heaven. [17] Then suddenly visions of evil dreams troubled them, and fears unlooked for came upon them. [18] And one thrown here, another there, half dead- shewed the cause of his death. [19] For the visions that troubled them foreshewed these things, lest they should perish and not know why they suffered these evils. [20] But the just also were afterwards touched by an assault of death, and there was a disturbance of the multitude in the wilderness: but thy wrath did not long continue.

[21] For a blameless man made haste to pray for the people, bringing forth the shield of his ministry, prayer, and by incense making supplication, withstood the wrath, and put an end to the calamity, shewing that he was thy servant. [22] And he overcame the disturbance, not by strength of body nor with force of arms, but with a word he subdued him that punished them, alleging the oaths and covenant made with the fathers. [23] For when they were now fallen down dead by heaps one upon another, he stood between and stayed the assault, and cut off the way to the living. [24] For in the priestly robe which he wore, was the whole world: and in the four rows of the stones the glory of the fathers was graven, and thy majesty was written upon the diadem of his head. [25] And to these the destroyer gave place, and was afraid of them: for the proof only of wrath was enough.

I believe this is about the coming Chastisement (made clear in verse 20) which follows on from The Warning (or Illumination of Conscience) ( see verses 14-19) confirming that those who will die at ‘the Warning’, may be saved by proclaiming their faults as they are dying, due to the visions (of their guilt) given to them.

Death and chastisement will touch some of the faithful as well (verse 20). But  Christ will shorten the chastisement through His Mercy for the sake of the elect (verses 21-25).

We had been praying by name for those who need healing in body, mind and/or soul (Crusade Prayer 94)  and also for souls who may die during the Warning (Crusade Prayer 1- My Gift to Jesus to Save Souls) which is connected to this interpretation.

I know some people think scripture has only one meaning which can either be applied at the time or to the future, and will think that the passage was only about the Egyptians.  However, some passages as Jesus clearly shows us in the Gospels, applies to both! He Himself fulfilled prophecies in a new way that some had thought already fulfilled like a closed book.  And he Himself, and later His apostles opened the scriptures before our very eyes, that we would see the Eternal Word in the amazing way God created it- as a Living Word and yet the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow.Later this understanding of scripture was confirmed to me through another website quoting the Catechism.

*For more information on Divine Mercy Sunday please visit DivineMercy.org. Those who have not heard of The Warning (otherwise known as The Illumination of Conscience or The Great Day of Mercy)  I will post some information for you soon, but in the meantime you might wish to try Google, or better still…God! While this may sound light-hearted, the truth is that discernment and Wisdom are very important, especially in regard to The Warning, so please humble yourself in sincere prayer to accept all God is offering and the direction in which He will lead you. I will be praying for you and with you, dear brothers and sisters +. Amen

God is My Search Engine, not Google: Part 2

Friday 31st March (evening) I opened on Zechariah 14 (16-21).

It is all about the eschatological battle!!
It explains how all will be made holy and The Lord’s sovereignty will be acknowledged and seen by all.

[16] And all who survive of all nations that have marched against Jerusalem, shall go up year by year, to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of Tabernacles. [17] And it shall come to pass, that should one of the races of the world not go up to Jerusalem, to adore the King, the Lord of hosts, there shall be no rain for that one. [18] And if the family of Egypt should fail to go up and pay its visit, on it will fall the plague which the Lord will inflict on each one of those nations that fail to go up to keep the Feast of the Tabernacles.. [19] Such shall be the punishment for Egypt and for all those nations that fail to go up to keep the feast of Tabernacles. [20] When that day comes, the horse bells will be inscribed with the words “Sacred to the Lord” and in the Temple of the Lord the very cooking pots will be as fine as the sprinkling bowls at the altar. [21] And every cooking pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall become sacred to the Lord Saboath; all who want to offer sacrifice will come and help themselves from them for their cooking; there will be no more Traders in the Temple of the Lord Saboath, when that day comes.
*The last verses describe in the eschatological renewal, everything will be made holy.
(Bible verse taken from the CTS New Catholic Bible, 2007. The Incorporated Catholic Truth Society).

Explanations below are from The Douay-Rheims Bible:

[16] They that shall be left: That is, many of them that persecuted the church shall be converted to its faith and communion.– Ibid.
[16] To keep the feast of tabernacles: This feast was kept by the Jews in memory of their sojourning forty years in the desert, in their way to the land of promise. And in the spiritual sense is duly kept by all such Christians as in their earthly pilgrimage are continually advancing toward their true home, the heavenly Jerusalem; by the help of the sacraments and sacrifice of the church. And they that neglect this must not look for the kind showers of divine grace, to give fruitfulness to their souls.
[20] The bells or that which is upon the bridle: The golden ornaments of the bridles, etc., shall be turned into offerings in the house of God. And there shall be an abundance of caldrons and phials for the sacrifices of the temple; by which is meant, under a figure, the great resort there shall be to the temple, that is, to the church of Christ, and her sacrifice.
[21] The merchant shall be no more: Or, as some render it, The Chanaanite shall be no more, that is, the profane and unbelievers shall have no title, to be in the house of the Lord. Or there shall be no occasion for buyers or sellers of oxen, or sheep, or doves, in the house of God, such as Jesus Christ cast out of the temple.

All of the above fits with the our understanding of the future when all will be one.

God is My Search Engine, not Google.

I had no idea how many bible verses deal with the Second Coming and the times we are in. I could never find them all if I tried! So God keeps giving them to me instead. I also would not even have ‘the eyes to see’ in each passage what He was saying, unless He enabled me; in my mind, heart and spirit. It was not always so.
But what I do have, I must share!
In my heart I pray for Wisdom and I ask God what he wants to show me and share with me today or tonight, before opening my Bible. It is true that nothing is inconsequential in the Word of God and that therefore everything I open upon is important, HOWEVER it is not my doing that each passage, from so many different parts of the Bible are on the same theme, each night in a row. And that God confirms what He is saying through others! So, if you are also willing to listen to what He has to share with you today, join me on the journey of the past few days! Each part will be separately posted, so as to allow you time, as God did for me, to pray earnestly and reflect on what God is saying to you…

Reading 1: Thursday 31st March
God gave me this passage to read about “being fed” and led- (Spiritually and physically) by Him… and therefore not worrying in the time ahead!

(Douay Rheims) 1 Kings 17: 2- 24

[2] And the word of the Lord came to him, saying: [3] Get thee hence, and go towards the east and hide thyself by the torrent of Carith, which is over against the Jordan, [4] And there thou shalt drink of the torrent: and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. [5] So he went, and did according to the word of the Lord: and going, he dwelt by the torrent Carith, which is over against the Jordan.
[6] And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening, and he drank of tile torrent. [7] But after some time the torrent was dried up, for it had not rained upon the earth. [8] Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying: [9] Arise, and go to Sarephta of the Sidonians, and dwell there: for I have commanded a widow woman there to feed thee. [10] He arose, and went to Sarephta. And when he was come to the gate of the city, he saw the widow woman gathering sticks, and he called her, and said to her: Give me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. .
[11] And when she was going to fetch it he called after her, saying: Bring me also, I beseech thee, a morsel of bread in thy hand. [12] And she answered: As the Lord thy God liveth, I have no bread, but only a handful of meal in a pot, and a little oil in a cruse: behold I am gathering two sticks that I may go in and dress it, for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. [13] And Elias said to her: Fear not, but go, and do as thou hast said: but first make for me of the same meal a little hearth cake, and bring it to me: and after make for thyself and thy son. [14] For thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: The pot of meal shall not waste, nor the cruse of oil be diminished, until the day wherein the Lord will give rain upon the face of the earth. [15] She went and did according to the word of Elias: and he ate, and she, and her house: and from that day
[16] The pot of meal wasted not, and the cruse of oil was not diminished, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke in the hand of Elias. [17] And it came to pass after this that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick, and the sickness was very grievous, so that there was no breath left in him. [18] And she said to Elias: What have I to do with thee, thou man of God? art thou come to me that my iniquities should be remembered, and that thou shouldst kill my son? [19] And Elias said to her: Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him into the upper chamber where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed. [20] And he cried to the Lord, and said: O Lord my God, hast thou afflicted also the widow, with whom I am after a so maintained, so as to kill her son?
[21] And he stretched, and measured himself upon the child three times, and cried to the Lord, and said: O Lord my God, let the soul of this child, I beseech thee, return into his body. [22] And the Lord heard the voice of Elias: and the soul of the child returned into him, and he revived. [23] And Elias took the child, and brought him down from the upper chamber to the house below, and delivered him to his mother, and said to her: Behold thy son liveth. [24] And the woman said to Elias: Now, by this I know that thou art a man of God, and the word of the Lord in thy mouth is true.

God provides!

Last week, my husband and I embarked on a long car trip to attend a wedding in a small town, approx 8.5hrs North of where we live.  We planned to travel between 10am and 6.30pm with minimal stopping. Before we left I had already been on the road for approx 2 hours+ due to morning drop offs , so I was pleased that he would drive and I could rest most of the way.

Halfway through the journey we accidentally took a wrong turn which put us on a different, much longer route. It added at least 2hrs 15 mins more and a long, gruelling, dark, foggy, twisting road towards the end.

We did not discover the error until we had travelled an hour on the inland route and annoyed, but optimistic enough at that stage, we decided to continue.

As we passed through a beautiful sunny Country town, I noticed an impressive original 19th century sandstone convent with beautiful stained glass windows called St Joseph’s of Lochinvar. This convent had belonged to the Sisters of St Joseph, to which order our dearly beloved St. Mary of the Cross (Mackillop) had belonged. It had been a very large convent with many nuns. Perhaps our daer saint, had even stayed there. It had an auction notice  explaining that the “contents” would be auctioned on the Saturday to come – (i.e. in 2 days’ time).

Immediately I started thinking…”What a rare, unique opportunity to find some religious items that Jesus said we need, such as sacred vessels and maybe even a tabernacle!” But the wedding was on Saturday! How could this be done? I asked my husband whether, if my mum were to buy a few things from the convent auction, we could possibly pick them up for her on our return trip, the following Tuesday, if the auctioneers agreed to hold them? Forgetting where we were, he agreed.

I pondered the likeliness of all this working, which also relied on online bidding being available but all I could hear was L.(prayer group member) saying over and over to me, “Donna, we need a tabernacle! Where are we going to get one?” after many prayer group gatherings. And I always thought, “Why on earth does she keep asking ME?!  That’s not something I can do!”

Nevertheless her nagging stayed in the back of my mind, and I couldn’t let this opportunity pass without trying!

So I sent a short text and  email to my mother. My mother’s story follows:

I received Donna’s text. I was pretty busy, so I didn’t have much time to think about it, but I did pass it on to others in the prayer group. The next night, a thought came into my head, that Donna didn’t pass by this auction on purpose. She was meant to see the sign. Then I remembered that just a few weeks before, our prayer group readings were all about the desecration of churches and I remembered the discussion that followed amongst us.

This was my comment at that time “So to sum up – get ready for the changes and the deceit. Go to Adoration while you still can! Gather up many Crosses, Crucifixes and Bibles. And it sounds as if we should be on guard for when they throw out the gold tabernacles – rescue them if we can.” (See Post JtM Crusade Prayer Meeting 25th February, 2016). I can’t believe that I had that thought 2 weeks previously!

Wow!!! We are meant to follow this auction up and try to get some tabernacles. A few of our group drove up to the auction the next day. I decided to put in an online bid – then I watched and participated in the auction live on the screen.

I managed to get a tabernacle and so did another person in our group. I was worried that people would be after the tabernacles for their scrap metal value – but the group from our prayer group who went up there, said that it seemed like the people bidding for the tabernacles were all Crusaders.

When Jesus tells us to prepare – we must do so. After all, He is present at each prayer group, guiding us. He goes to a great extent to show us the way, if we just stop and listen.

Thank you, Lord. I am glad we listened and didn’t ignore your gentle signs. Amen.

St John Bosco

A Tribute to St John Bosco.

(It is his Feast Day today, 31st January, on the Tridentine Latin Mass Calendar).

What a joy to see that it was St John Bosco’s Feast Day today! This inspirational, dedicated man brought so many young, unformed souls to fullness of faith and safely into Jesus’ arms. Even today, an ‘old soul’, fighting the good fight, can learn so much from reading his amazing God-given insights. That God chose and blessed this man for a singular vision and special purpose is clear from his early life.St john bosco

I had the good fortune of a fellow believer, (who is a wife and mother of seven children who are mostly now grown and all fervently practising their faith) recommend to me a book called “The Forty Dreams of St John Bosco: The Apostle of Youth” which is taken from his Biographical Memoirs. My own children have not yet been able to read much of it because their mummy can’t put it down!

St John Bosco had prophetic dreams, visions and ecstasies. When a dream is a supernatural event, the receiver of the dream knows it. But the believers who had the privilege of hearing a dream of his, also knew it. In dreams he often saw secrets of people’s consciences and future events in detail, such as deaths, which did actually then occur. One of the funniest, most convincing early dreams was when, during his childhood, he was given to know the contents of his school exams beforehand in a dream, which allowed him to pass exams-and exceptionally well at that! The teacher thought somehow that he’d been cheating as he didn’t believe his ridiculous but honest explanation that he had ‘dreamt’ what was in it. Then one day the teacher wrote a very long, hard Latin test which John finished in record time. The teacher had only enough time in class to dictate half the exam that he’d prepared the night before, and was speechless to see that John had completed the full test, down to the very last word!

Here I’ll retell just one story: the dream of the Deadly Nooses, because it is easy to remember and made quite an impact on me. It is symbolic teaching dream, not a literal one.

John Bosco was a priest who particularly cared for the education and formation of boys in the Faith.  Part of his duty, therefore, was both hearing confessions and providing spiritual guidance and direction, including giving advice in regards to conquering sin. Once he dreamed that he stood amongst a large group of boys who were preparing to make a confession when he noticed many had nooses around their necks that they could not remove! Upon inspection, there were horrible beast-cats crouching behind those boys, holding the nooses tightly in place, around the boys’ necks. Some held several nooses in their paws. cat d

St John Bosco ordered through the Holy Name of Jesus Christ that the beasts reveal the purpose of the nooses. Tortured in appearance, the monster which he questioned was forced to speak:

“Don’t you understand? I rope these boys into making bad confessions. With these nooses I drag 9/10ths of mankind into Hell.” He then revealed the specific purpose of each noose.

The first noose makes the boys conceal their sins in Confession. The second to confess without true sorrow. The third noose keeps them from making a firm resolution and from carrying out their confessor’s advice.

Later St John Bosco related the dream to the boys to teach them about sincerity, sorrow and resolution. He explained that the first noose is not only about concealing sins but also about downplaying them or not being sincere- for example by accusing yourself of having done something 3 or 4 times when you know it to be exactly four, but don’t want to sound so bad. He says that if we are to rid ourselves of these nooses and wrench them from the devil’s clutches, we must confess all our sins and be truly sorry for them. I know that sometimes I must accuse myself of not having true sorrow when I know I should! I get annoyed at myself for not being as sorry as I know I should. But I also know that we must continuously pray for the grace to be truly sorry and to grow in contrition for our sins.

The devil also revealed that he hides behind the boys so that he cannot be seen. That way it is far easier to cajole people into sin and insincerity. He lastly revealed that if we want to know whether or not we (or one of our children) are held in his leash, we will know by whether or not we (they) are becoming better.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation in which Catholics confess their sins is a very great grace. It gives us the means to conquer ourselves for the sake of Christ, in order to be truly free. Without frequent confession we do not cut ourselves off from sin and the devil, although we may kid ourselves that we have done so. Faith is true when seen in a person’s works- a holy and pure life, as an outliving of his Faith, transformed completely bsorrowy the Spirit. (James 2: 14-26) When our thoughts, words or actions become wordly, selfish or not as Christ called us, we must return to Him, in word and deed, with sincerity of heart.  As St Paul says, we have to continue to work out our salvation in fear and trembling.

Wherefore, my dearly beloved, (as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but much more now in my absence,) with fear and trembling work out your salvation.  Phillipians 2:12 (Douay Rheims Bible)

What does God think?-The Pope Video

Thought for the Day (Sunday 10th January)

I had just been reading and reflecting upon the repercussions and impact of the Francis’ recent global video prayer request known as “the Pope Video”. At night I am in the habit of opening my Bible to read what I believe God reveals to me through His Holy and Living Word. I do not choose the passage. I open my Bible with simple faith and He provides.

I’d like to share these with you more regularly. His Word is for ALL his people. If you are not in this habit already (of reading your Bible daily) then you need to make this a priority.

First, to have the context, you need to watch this blasphemous video:

This is the Bible Reading I opened upon thereafter:

2 John: 9-11

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of CHRIST, does NOT HAVE GOD.

He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has BOTH the Father and the Son.

If anyone comes to you and DOES NOT bring THIS doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him. For he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

Also you may read the various comments made by people which expose the errors of indifferentism within the video. We have provided one comment for readers, below:

DAVE WEBSTER commented on The “Pope Video” condemned by the Catechism of the Catholic Church – More Analysis. in response to Donna Liane’s Thought for the Day (above)

“Right to the point Donna!

So why is it that those who know Christ and reject Him or merely would not accept Him if they did hear, DO NOT KNOW the true God?

Simply because Christ revealed what God was truly like and that means those who have or who would reject Him do not know the true God.

Certainly there are varying degrees of divergence from the correct understanding of the true God that non Christians have, but all contain error which misrepresents the true God.

It is a serious deceit to merely call these “differences.” These “differences” are errors and can have fatal consequences. For starters these can leave followers of false religion justified in actual mortal sin.

False religions also divide peoples and nations which lead to conflict and war. The dominance of Protestantism in England and the US opened the door for the capture of both these nations by the rabidly antichrist Rothschild bankers and the Masonic Illuminati.

If one does any research at all they would know that the so called “Reformation” which threw out the Catholic Church’s strict laws against usury, opened the door to England and the US becoming the BEAST upon whose back has ridden the Great monetary, banking and commercial Whore of Babylon. That Anglo-American BEAST has created the greatest havoc in the world.

The weakness of Protestantism is now an open book. This divided Christianity has left the Catholic Church itself vulnerable to the Great Whore and the BEAST. If we make this observation about the seriousness of Protestant “differences” what could we say for Muslim “differences”! And we are not putting all Protestants or Muslims individually in the same boat!

It’s the overall effect in the world of all that is not completely of Christ which has divided us and brought us to the edge of human extinction.

Discerning True vs False Prophets: so you think you know?

Discerning True Vs False Prophets.

Discernment is very important. Only a fool would take it lightly or evade responsibility for it. Every prophet should be discerned, by individuals praying fervently to God for His Wisdom. Prophecy should not be despised, as St Paul said:

“Quench not the Spirit.Despise not prophecies. Instead prove all things; hold fast to that which is  good.”

(1 Thessalonians 5:19-21)

Over time, I learnt many ways to discern whether someone is a true prophet. And most of all God taught me that it is sheer pride to believe that you ‘know’ what He would say, because of your knowledge, or intelligence or learnedness or  that you ‘don’t need to know’ or ‘hear’ what He has to say. Repent of this because to reject His true prophets greatly offends Him and arouses His anger. There are plenty of examples of prophecy in the Bible and what happens when people reject His Words and warnings given through prophecy. Read what He says! Do not be ignorant or full of pride.

These are the ways that I have learnt to listen to and discern prophecy and they are all as important as each other.

1. Whether their messages do not contradict any Truths of the Catholic Faith and authentic Church Teaching.

Their words likewise should not contradict the Holy Bible, of course. The words should honour Jesus as we’d expect for Our King and teach or reiterate the truths of our Faith.

These prophets should submit in obedience to a spiritual director. This is so that they themselves can be scrutinised and guided to know what is “of God”, when they are being tested or deceived and to help them discern God’s Will. A good spiritual director has the good of the soul and the whole Church at heart.

2. You will know them by their good fruits (ie. true conversions), growth in faith, hope and love/charity. The Bible tell us that this is a sign of a true prophet.

3. Whether their prophecies come true or are confirmed over the course of time.

Again the Bible tells us this is a sign of a true prophet. This especially applies to specific and unexpected events (not so much to general, expected events such as an earthquake in an earthquake zone.) This does not mean that prophecies involving chastisement cannot be mitigated, reduced, delayed or averted through prayer. They can!  God warns us for a reason. But certainly when specific prophecies can and do unexpectedly come true, they can be considered to be a possible  sign of authenticity.

4. Whether the prophecies shake you out of complacency.

The Bible warns us of false prophets proclaiming only “peace, peace.”

In fact the Word of God cuts like a knife- even to dividing soul from spirit. If it’s not challenging you, it’s not the Word of God!

5. Other genuine signs and miracles.

God gives signs. He has always done so. Pay attention to miracles-especially those which cannot be replicated or incited through emotionalism. Even more so when they are verified or experienced by more than one person.

6. Whether they impart with authority the Holy Word of God.

The sheep know their Shepherd’s voice and follow Him. God is not wishy-washy. He has all authority and power in heaven and on earth. He commands. He imparts His exact Words directly to prophets and they say ” The Lord says thus..” You must read your Bible and learn from Him! Do not think that because you have never seen or known of it in your experience, that it cannot be true.

7. Whether anti-fruits are present indicating a charleton. Eg. If they appear to seek personal gain (such as money, status, power or attention) or only gain for God, is important. Look at what they seek to gain. Examine their motives.

8. Whether the prophet has been greatly changed and affected themselves by their experience. Eg. Are they led to be transformed in holiness? Do they lead good and holy lives? This is best observed over time if possible.

9. Also Jesus says that His sheep know His voice

If you are close to Our Lord and have read many of His Words contained in writings to saints, prophets, seers and visionaries etc as well as the Most Holy Bible, your heart will leap at the sound of your Master’s voice! Inside you may feel a “little flame” burning in your heart whenever you hear the Words that are of the Holy Spirit, just as the disciples on their way to Emmaus felt.

Luke 24:[32]And they said one to the other: Was not our heart burning within us, whilst He spoke in this way, and opened to us the scriptures?”

In all things, pray to the Holy Spirit for enlightenment, with a sincere heart.

9. A true prophet is never accepted in their hometown.

Jesus said so. They are rejected, slandered and persecuted. The more intensely this occurs, the more the devil is trying to stop them. All true prophets are lied about. The more holy the message, the more intense the attack against it. Be careful not to believe stories. Discover the truth for yourself. If in doubt, ask Jesus!

10. Lastly through (sustained) prayer for discernment (detached from any particular outcome).

It is an offence to God and the pinnacle of pride to not ask God His opinion!! No one is above God. He alone knows the answer to what you seek. Ask and you will receive. He will not give a rock when you ask for bread. He will answer you! Be patient though and offer sustained prayer and fasting. Discernment is a precious, precious gift from The Lord. When you receive it, be grateful! Thank Him in the same Spirit and with as much fervency as when you first asked!

What You Need To Know about Angels

I wanted to write a piece about angels and what Jesus (and the bible) has taught us. But I knew I had to be careful not to offend anyone. My intention would not be to lead anyone away from belief in these divine beings! But there are things you need to know…

Not every one knows the difference between a holy angel and a fallen one. For instance did you know that fallen angels may appear as very beautiful and make what appear to be ‘harmless’ or cajoling or consoling suggestions? They rarely show their true nature initially! They can appear as deceased loved ones, or as kindly, old men or women, as well dressed gentlemen or as priests, or even saints!! There are many stories about this that you could read. You might want to start with the experiences of Padre Pio with the devil.

What people may forget is that what looks or sounds good, may be the source of evil.  Remember the serpent and the apple. You must listen carefully to what they ‘say’ or ‘suggest’ to work out where they are “leading you”. Holy angels lead you to faith in God because they know that He is Supreme over all. They know He created them, as He did you! They serve Him with Endless Love and holy praises and both desire and GIVE all glory to Him alone! ALL spirits should be tested first.

Each group of angels has a different mission. Our guardian angel’s mission is to ultimately help our soul to reach heaven. We make them very sad when we sin or ask for selfish things, such as worldly comforts. They want us to desire heaven! They want us to keep our heart focused on spiritual things!

The Catechism of the Catholic Church  says

“336 From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession.202 “Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life.”203 Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God. (1020) (Taken from: http://www.usccb.org)

Secondly, in order to know the difference between a holy angel and a fallen one (which is actually a demon or devil- which is what ALL fallen angels are…) we have to remain in a state of * grace and to be knowledgeable about what God truly desires of us. True angels do NOT desire worship of themselves. They would rebuke this. If you continue to do this, you will cause them anguish, grief and misery. (Unless they are actually fallen angels in disguise)…Why?
Because they know that all glory belongs to God alone and that angel worship is FORBIDDEN in the Bible!

Here is just one of several passages that emphasise this:

Colossians 2:18-20
[18] Let no man seduce you, willing in humility, and religion (worship) of angels, walking in the things which he hath not seen, in vain puffed up by the sense of his flesh, [19] And not holding the head, from which the whole body, by joints and bands, being supplied with nourishment and compacted, groweth unto the increase of God! [20] If then you be dead with Christ from the elements of this world, why do you yet decree as though living in the world?

And to help understand what this means, read below from the footnotes (Douay-Rheims Bible):

[18] Willing: That is, by a self willed, self invented, superstitious worship, falsely pretending humility, but really proceeding from pride. Such was the worship, that many of the philosophers (against whom St. Paul speaks, ver. 8) paid to angels or demons, by sacrificing to them, as carriers of intelligence betwixt God and men; pretending humility in so doing, as if God was too great to be addressed by men; and setting aside the mediatorship of Jesus Christ, who is the head both of angels and men. Such also was the worship paid by the ancient heretics, disciples of Simon and Menander, to the angels, whom they believed to be makers and lords of this lower world. This is certain, that they whom the apostle here condemns, did not hold the head, (ver. 19,) that is, Jesus Christ, and his mediatorship; and therefore what he writes here no way touches the Catholic doctrine and practice, of desiring our good angels to pray to God for us, through Jesus Christ. St. Jerome [Epist. ad Algas.] understands by the religion or service of angels, the Jewish teachers, who sought to subject the new Christians to the observance of the Mosaic law.

It is equally forbidden to consult mediums, psychics, magicians (demonic) hypnotists, and fortune-tellers who have NO place in the kingdom of heaven. It is not disputed that some of these people obtain other worldly knowledge or power! No, many have it alright…but this power is from evil spirits and fallen angels! Although they aren’t necessarily aware of this themselves. They will lead you to hell. They will speak of love and light and nice stuff- but not of God. They will use flattery on you too. They will not worship the One True Triune God or lead you ever to do so.

It is very dangerous to ever invite or enter into any encounter with an evil angel deliberately. You are playing with fire! They are cunning too. I know a young woman who consulted a “bible quoting medium” and within about 2 weeks ended up in a psychiatric hospital. She continues to appear to be badly affected by evil spirits (1 or more, we aren’t sure) and the only thing which brings her any relief are Sacramentals and a priestly blessing and anointing. She knows exactly what started it.

We therefore must not seek to encounter or see angels for the sake of titillation either. We MAY however ask the holy angels which serve God to intercede (pray) for us and to help us to know, love and serve Him! We should be grateful when they do so.

I had a friend who engaged in angel worship, and as she read books about the topic, she thought she desired to know everything she could to use them- mainly to gain power for herself. But her information was all twisted and back to front-even calling the archangels feminine spirits! She was unknowingly reading a book written by demons. Not all inspired knowledge is from God. When her sister became gravely ill, she told me she was praying to the angels. She was heart-broken and felt desperate; I wanted to tell her (and regret not doing so) that only God could help her sister!

Forget praying to angels- go to the Man at the Top! He alone can save the body and the soul!

If you are worried any of these descriptions describe you, do not despair. But do sincerely ask  yourself: Do you really even know the Creator of ALL things? Have you prayed to angels and ignored the Head of All the Angels? Did you know it offends God? If so, you need to talk to God and beg for forgiveness with sincerity of heart. You need to ask Him to help you to know, love and serve Him better. Ask Him to guide you in starting a new relationship with Him through Jesus. It’s what’s been missing in your life- I promise! And pray for Protection from Deceptions*

All power is in Him alone and He is infinitely more powerful than any fallen angel/devil.

Knowing God will fill you with joy and bring you to a place where you’ll always see angels!

Here is a Message from The Mother of God about Angels: (Taken from mdmlastprophet.com)

Mother of Salvation: God’s angels can be asked to pray for you but never to grant you powers

Sunday, 30 November 2014 @ 17:20 Message 1279
My dear children, you must never pray to God’s angels, for they are His servants and strive only to give glory to God and to do His Most Holy Will.  Prayer is an act of worship and when you call on God’s angels, within His Heavenly Hierarchy, it must always be with the intention of asking them to pray for you.  If you try to communicate with the Heavenly Hierarchy of Angels, then it must only be to ask for their assistance and guidance so that you can do God’s Most Holy Will.
To those of you who believe that you will receive powers from God’s angels then you are mistaken.
The power given to angels can come only from God and you must never use them as a substitute for praying to Him.
So many souls try to communicate with angels today for selfish reasons and to obtain powers that have nothing to do with God. An obsession with angels can lead to a terrible discontent because this can attract the spirit of evil if you are not careful.
When calling on God’s angels to help you, you must always bless yourself first with Holy Water and then ask them for assistance, in the name of Jesus Christ. If you do not do this and use any object, which is not associated with Christianity, when calling on angels for their help, then this could invite the spirit of evil into your life. Once this happens you will find it almost impossible to eradicate it.
A pre-occupation with communicating with angels can lead to dabbling in the occult. Once this happens, you will attract those angels who were cast out of Heaven by my Heavenly Father. They now roam the Earth in the hundreds of thousands, seeking a home. Souls who leave themselves open to their influence can quickly become entangled in a spiritual world that is not of God. Once you embrace the underworld you will have no peace. These fallen angels will entice you into a web of deceit.
First of all you will feel a sense of hope and then a belief that you can control all aspects of your life, with the help of such angels. Eventually you will, mistakenly, believe that you are in full control of your own destiny. Every false notion of peace will fill your minds but, soon afterwards, you will feel a terrible wretchedness.
Dabbling with such spirits that you believe to be angels of God, but who do not belong in His Kingdom, will lead you into engaging with the occult, which will blind you to the Truth and destroy your soul.
God does not grant His angels permission to give you gifts because these can only come from Him. God’s angels can be asked to pray for you but never to grant you worldly goods or spiritual powers. When you idolize angels and seek out these things you are guilty of breaking the First Commandment of God.
Your beloved Mother
Mother of Salvation

*Crusade Prayer (146) Protection against deception

Dear Mother of Salvation, protect me with the Grace of protection against deceptions, created by Satan to destroy the faith of Christians. Protect us against those who are the enemies of God. Keep us safe from lies and heresy, used to weaken our love for your Son. Open our eyes to untruths, deception and every attempt we may encounter to encourage us to deny the Truth. Amen.

*A state of grace is when the soul is united to God- without any serious, grave/mortal sins on its soul.

A Tribute to Our Guardian Angels Part V: My Angel Speaks

guardian_angel
Once, when I was about 25, I got really ill. It was hard to understand what happened and why, but I believe that it may have been a spiritual attack.I had been spending a lot of time in prayer, Mass and Adoration- more than ever. I started and ran a lunchtime prayer group for schoolkids and led them in the Rosary.

Then around the time of the school holidays, I suddenly became excessively tired as if my body was made of lead. I could not go anywhere. In actual fact, this overwhelming fatigue only allowed me to be out of bed for about 3 hrs a day in total.

I saw our doctor who ran tests but could find no physical reason. He asked me if I had recently undergone a terrible stress such as a marriage break up, but that was not the case- there was nothing.I was perplexed, sad and frustrated. After nearly 6 weeks of this, I was beginning to despair of ever getting better. I was not able to attend weekday Mass anymore or do any chores. I was a burden to my husband and not much fun to my young daughter, either. Mostly I was worried because I thought that in this state I wouldn't be able to work and help support our family, especially by paying the mortgage. I wondered, with sadness, what would become of us!

I sat down and cried alone on my bed; God and I had a 'heart to heart' where I just poured out these fears and my sadness, asking Him interiorly what would become of me, and of course, to help me. Then at my right shoulder I heard a voice answer; loud, deep and clear- a man's voice, as if someone was standing right there! He said "You'll be alright" in a very matter of fact voice. It was authoritative more than comforting, but the shock of hearing "a voice" made me stop crying immediately!

It didn't sound like I thought Jesus would sound, so I thought it had to be my guardian angel. I believed him, because he was so authoritative sounding, even though I didn't understand 'how' I'd get better, when they didn't even know what was wrong with me! And no, I wasn't going crazy... I had never heard an 'exterior' voice before, or since!

I have heard an inner voice before, for example telling me to pray for someone, or giving me enlightened responses in situations, but this was completely different! This was an actual voice. How do you know the difference you ask? You know; believe me! It didn't even 'sound like' my inner voice.

I have pondered on it many times over the years and I can explain how I knew with such certainty, that I had heard an actual voice. An inner voice is one that you hear inside (in your heart and mind) but you don't hear it in 'one ear'! Also I felt, as well as heard, the sound of that voice reverberate in my ear drum; I felt the physical vibration of its timbre. And I even heard it's direction- over my right shoulder, as if a man was standing right beside my bed. It made me jump!

You always think you'd love to hear Jesus speak, Mary or an angel but (at least in this case) when it happened, it was a shock! The good news is that I did miraculously get better, gradually but quickly, within a fortnight of returning to work, although they never did find out what had been wrong with me.

For all the prayers, guidance, comfort and protection I've always had from you -because of God's great love, thank you guardian angel!! I know I have vexed you greatly at times. Please forgive me and help me stay true to Jesus!
